He is an amazing pediatrician. Dr. Ng has been our family pediatrician for over 15 years! He’s very attentive, friendly, patient, caring. He has two assistants at the front desk whom are incredibly helpful! You can find his office inside of Kukui Plaza on the second floor. There is parking in the building also!(You can also park on the streets where you’ll find meters, or park at Pali Longs. haha) His office is very hygienic and when you first walk in you will find a massive disney mural painted throughout the walls of the waiting room. Dr. Ng is the best, I will insure you that there’s nothing that he can’t take care of. Although his room does get a bit crowded sometimes you will find people standing outside of the waiting room patiently waiting for their name to be called(this is usually on the weekends, so schedule on the weekdays). From not just my experiences but my friends and family, Dr. Ng is not the type of doctor that wants money from you, he gives you multiple options and he wants all of his patients to be healthy when they step out of his office. There were countless times where he given me a handful of sample sized medication(that I needed) because my insurance wasn’t able to provide me with my medication. Dr.Ng is the best he’s your best bet if you’re looking for a pediatrician on Oahu.

I don’t have a single Chinese friend who DOESN’T go to Dr. Ng! *Hint, see Emily L’s review down below!* Dr. Ng also delivered me and I am still going to him. Though he is a pediatrician, I go to him for my coughs and colds, vaccinations, joint sprains, throat infections, and even eye infections! There’s nothing he can’t take care of! He is located in the Kukui Plaza, on the second floor. There’s plenty of street parking on Nuuanu Avenue, or you could just park at Pali Longs and walk over as it’s less than a minute away(don’t tell the Longs workers I said that). Keep in mind, he IS a pediatrician, so take some Airborne before going to your appointment! I don’t go to the doctor’s very often, but the last two times I went, I had two different assistants of his. I’m not sure if both still work for him, but I felt one was much more pleasant, happy and helpful than the other. Dr. Ng, though, is always consistently helpful and friendly, yet professional. He’s not the doctor that’s looking to make money off of you. He really helps his patients in any way he can, and is so kind hearted.

PK Ng helped my mom give birth to me. I’m serious… he was there in the hospital with my parents when I took my first breath and he’s been listening to my lungs ever since. Oh yeah and I am now 20 and a half years old. I’m never changing doctors… EVER! :) Dr. Ng is first and foremost, a pediatrician. Most doctors study everything before specializing into fields like pediatrician and stuff like that. Unless I need some serious, specific help, I just go to Dr. Ng. I love his office, though it can get crowded sometimes. His walls have a Disney themed mural, hand-painted. It’s gorgeous and I can stare at it all day. The nurses are also very nice and smiley. I give them props for their patience because I know they get about 10 bajillion screaming/crying babies. One of them is me when i have to take shots. Haha, Jk. I stopped crying around age 10 when I realized crying doesn’t do anything for me when I take shots. He has two«patient rooms» where you sit and wait for your one-on-one time with the doctor. He’s so nice and he seems to remember everyone on a personal level. One downside is that I wish he’d tell me the name of the illnesses I have caught or have and tell me how it happened and more details of how its affecting me. He usually just tells me really general details, writes a prescription, and tells me how to take my medication. He understands that insurance companies have been more and more strict on their policies so he helps us out in any way he can from giving us sample medication that would just be enough or giving us loads of coupons for our meds. Another downside is the wait time. Expect to be there over an hour. I’ve had some quick waits to some super long waits. Never really know what to expect. Thanks for keeping me healthy! :D
