Established in 2001.

I am a Cosmetologist with an Associates degree and have been working as a stylist for over 20 years. I opened Kathy Full Service Salon in Honolulu on 2001 in the King Kalakaua Bldg. right outside of Waikiki between King St. and Young St. It is a small salon with just me. I have one haircutting chair, one shampoo bowl, and just one facial waxing room. People have said my salon reminds them of a little place in Europe.

I don’t know why I haven’t reviewed this place sooner! Kathy is great and there is no one else I will ever go to for Brazilians ever again unless I no longer live in Hawaii. For $ 26.17 incl. tax you can get a Brazilian wax. You will never find that price somewhere else. Other salons/​spas will cost $ 60 and upwards. Not only is she affordable but she does an amazing job too. And she is so kid friendly. She is understanding when I bring my baby with me and also gives me really good parenting type advice. I haven’t tried any of the other services she offers because I don’t really care about getting my nails done etc but I’m sure that everything she does is high quality and affordable.

Love love love. I’ve been going to Kathy for almost 3 years now. She’s not only affordable but she’s also very nice. She makes you feel comfortable because she’s Friendly and outgoing. :) BTW, you have to bring quarters with you to pay for parking.

If your looking for an affordable, comfortable, great experience to get a Brazilian wax; go to KATHYS! She’s the best. Nice, friendly, and always so sweet. Nothing beats a $ 20 Brazilian wax which she does super fast! I recommend all my gfs here and they all love her! So don’t be doubtful and make an appointment :)

AMAZING!!! Kathy is super friendly and easy to talk to. I have been looking for a good and affordable place to go for a Brazilian for years. I have finally found the place. Kathy is amazing! She is so personable and makes you feel like you’ve known her for years!!! I was super nervous about the pain. Honesty, it was not that painful. I would definitely give this place and Kathy way more than 5 stars. I would recommend to everyone to come here.

Say what?! $ 20 for a brazilian wax?! I was actually a little bit scared to try this place when I heard how low the price was, but let me tell you, this place is awesome! Kathy is super sweet and totally makes you feel at ease. She is also super quick and no nonsense which I love. I’ve tried other more expensive salons on the island, but none have even come close. I usually park for free at the fast food joint down the street.

I went to Kathy’s for a brazilian after reading some reviews about how cheap they are! Not only did I pay $ 20 for my wax (not including tax), but she uses the hard wax and Kathy really made me feel comfortable during the procedure. The wax was a little hot and she did strip large sections at a time, but after I told her how hot the wax was and if she could strip smaller sections at a time, she willingly adjusted.
Overall great experience. I plan on coming again and I would recommend it to other people. It beats paying $ 50 any day.

I have been going to Kathy for years now and I have recommended pretty much all of my friends who now also go to her on a regular basis. Kathy’s waxing prices are unheard of. When I have asked Kathy in the past why she hasn’t changed her price over the years, she humbly responded with «well the prices in wax haven’t gone up, so why charge my loyal customers more?»
$ 20 Brazilian & Bikini wax. AWESOME huh?
She is just great, and I HIGHLY recommend her for all waxing services.

You won’t find a better deal anywhere else in Hawaii for brazilians. Quick, affordable, and one of the least painful waxes I’ve ever had. Kathy uses hard wax which is WAY less painful than soft wax and won’t stretch your skin over time the way soft wax does. A lot of salons will charge more for hard wax so this is an amazing price, and I was in an out in twenty minutes!

I went to Kathy’s to do my lashes on 05.31.14. Let me tell you, my drive from Kapolei to her shop on Kalakaua Ave was WORTH it! Its a small salon that is neat and clean. Kathy works alone so she pretty much does appointments only. I paid $ 35.00 for my lashes and i totally love it! Can’t go wrong with her prices! My co workers noticed my lashes so I had to refer them to Kathy’s! Parking may be difficult but we scored right infront of her shop. There’s only street parking. Definitely planning a girls get together at Kathy’s with my girlfriends. Kathy is very down to earth and easy going. She is a sweet heart. Kathy’s is the place to be!

I have been going to Kathy for many years. I am an Asian male with shorter hair and I get my hair permed and cut there. She is extremely skillful especially at being able to get the rollers applied to my shorter hair when others before her could not. Her cutting skills are also excellent. Finally, she is a very friendly and kind person with many engaging hobbies and stories — an excellent conversationalist. Also, her prices are extremely reasonable for the level of service and quality.

Went here after doing research for a new waxing place and found this spot at random. First of all the price of $ 20 Brazilians are unheard of! I thought my other salon was pretty cheap at $ 50 but besides the awesome rate Kathy, does a awesome job and is very personable! She has a small yet very clean place! This is the best place to get a brazilian wax. Kathy runs this salon on her own; she does hair too! She is very friendly and fun to talk to.
She uses a different type of wax than other salons that I’ve been to. She doesn’t use the paper to take off the wax. After she puts the wax on you, she waits for it to dry (which only takes a few seconds) and she peels it off. I think this way is better– it doesn’t hurt as much & it’s clean (no leftover wax on you).
The best part is the price! It’s only $ 20!!! And you can not get that price for a good brazilian anywhere!

$ 20 BRAZILLIAN WAXES! Yes, they hurt, they aren’t perfect and the place is tiny (you get what you pay for). But Kathy (the owner) is the sweetest and makes you feel very comfortable. I’ve only gotten waxed here, but I think she offers an array of services. And $ 20 brazillian waxes are unheard of! This place is a gem that has been referred to by friends-​of-​friends for a couples years now. She fills up fast, so call way in advance!
