I bought a fukubukuro/“lucky bag” from this company in January, I was pretty disappointed. I was stuck with every seasonal thing the store couldn’t get rid of — spiced apple flavored soaps and candles, christmas-​decorated trinkets… I felt like it was cheating. It should say that the items were seasonal. Nothing was the typical «island soaps» products. I mean, put at least a few things in there that I wouldn’t be buying at 50% off anyway!

This is a great option for gifts to take home to friends and family. The soaps are created in Honolulu and all the candles are actually made in the store. They have other gifts that have Hawaiian flair. I would skip the junk shops that are full of over priced Made in China trinkets and opt for gifts that your friends and family will actually like and use. You may find something for yourself too!
