Neat little boutique with some cool stuff, but not necessarily stuff I would buy. But I still enjoyed doing some window shopping in here.

FRAUDULENTBUSINESSOWNERS! I went to this place looking for a Japanese sword for my husband’s birthday, which they said they had. I came in and asked about the swords and they didn’t know what I was talking about due to speaking poor English… The woman(owner) finally understood what«knife» meant and took me to them. She picked it up and said it was very nice, $ 150. I asked if I could see it and she said I couldn’t touch it unless I paid for it, and took it out of the cover to show me the blade. It looked ok. I purchased the sword and she gift wrapped it in a box for me. I got it home and put wrapping paper on the box and gave it to my husband the next day. When he opened it, he held the handle and it was janky and loose, and the blade was falling out of the handle piece — the knife was falling apart! I looked like an idiot for buying him a piece of junk for $ 150! We googled it online and it was worth $ 20 brand new… I called the woman to tell her the knife was falling apart when we took it out of the box and I wanted my money back. She spoke broken English and told me «no refunds». I told her I would be disputing it with my credit card company and they would take the money back and credit back my account because she fraudulently sold me something broken and refused to refund my money. She just kept saying«no refund» and after asking for her name, she hung up on me. DONT shop here, almost everything they sell is sold at an ABC Store for half the price of what this shop sells it at…

The first thing I noticed when I walked by was the extremely packed display shelf of Russian matryoshka dolls smack dab in the middle of the store. Since i was in Hawaii and those seemed to stick out I decided to check the place out. There are a few things in the store that you will not find in other shops around the area. They do have a few things from around the world in addition to your typical hawaiian goods. I was interested in some wooden goods and almost bought my wooden pineapple shaped bowl but decided to hold on until the day before i left. i ended up finding the same wooden stuff at the ABC stores for almost half the price. Don’t come here for the Hawaiian stuff. What I did like was that they have a lot of fair trade items. Yay. Go them
