History

Established in 1998.

IslaTango was founded in 1997 in Honolulu by George Garcia, a dance teacher with over 25 years of experience.

With a background in teaching a wide variety of dances, it was a simple decision to divert his attention and focus to this amazing and addicting dance form, Argentine Tango.

Inspired and trained by some the finest Argentine teachers in the world, George is now a renown teacher, starring with Christy Coté in Dance Vision USA’s fine instructional DVD series, now a best selling resource for dance studios as well as individual students.

George teaches weekly classes and organizes Milongas and Practicas in Honolulu and also travels to conduct special workshops in the USA and Japan.
