We will maintain financial strength and stability to support growth and to provide diverse services to our members. In line with our brand promise of delivering superior value to our members and the community, we created our Life Events Assistance Program (LEAP). LEAP will provide our employees, members and the community we serve with comprehensive financial education, tools and resources. We are committed to being recognized as the financial institution that goes above and beyond to help our clients attain their financial goals.

Our commitment to financial education will span throughout our entire organization via the LEAP certification program. This certification will provide every HawaiiUSA employee to better assist those seeking financial guidance and or experiencing financial hardships

History

Established in 1936.

HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit federally insured financial cooperative owned and operated by our members. We serve individuals in the field of education including employees, retirees, students and their parents of Oahu schools except secondary schools in Honolulu.

In 1971, our name changed to Oahu Educational Employees Federal Credit Union.

In 2000, our name changed to HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union. Now, it better depicts our current field of membership and lays the foundation to provide service to our members statewide and possibly nationwide.

In 2009, HawaiiUSA unveiled its new logo and brand position of «Life matters». It captures the essence of who we are; a company that values every life and works to fulfill people’s dreams.

Today, we are the largest credit union in Hawaii with over $ 1.4 billion in assets, and more than 125,000 members being served through 14 branches on Oahu, Maui, and the Big Island.
