Hawaii Coffee Company

I bought a couple of the Lion Coffee that was «Fancy Roasted» from one of the General Stores. I bought one for a gift and one for myself. I should have bought more. It was very good tasting coffee and I’m sad that I am almost out. I found the price of the bag pretty reasonable by Hawaii pricing standards. Would recommend.
Side note: There are other coffees that are artifically flavored and almost bought one. I cannot stand flavored coffee as all I taste is chemical, though the clerk assured me it was very popular and people liked it. Probably people without standards and taste buds (and yes, I’m being snarky).

It all started in the year 2000 when Lion Coffee and Royal Kona Coffee formed a partnership under this entity. About four years later, Hawaiian Islands Teas joined them; thus the merging of these three made Hawaii Coffee Company a coffee & tea business.
I received two wedding party favors containing not only Hawaiian Islands Teas, but also cookies from the Honolulu Cookie Company, about 4 weeks ago. They were packed and sealed in a gift box, which I called Hawaii’s hidden treasures.
The flavors were coconut macadamia herbal tea and passion fruit na pali tea. Both teas were pleasing to the palate that I decided to check their website to see if there were any other flavored teas. I was thrilled to see that they carry assorted tropical flavored teas at a very reasonable price of $ 5.95 a box (20 teabags).
The coconut macadamia herbal tea is caffeine-​free and it has a rich nutty flavor and a full-​bodied taste of Rooibos. A scant teaspoon of sugar enhanced the flavorings of coconut and macadamia. The tea was a perfect complement to the pineapple shaped shortbread cookie from the Honolulu Cookie Company.
Passion fruit na pali is an all natural tropical black tea. The aromatic scent of passionfruit permeated the air once I opened the envelope containing this tea. Luscious fruit flavor was just dancing around me, luring me to hurry to brew it. Aaahhh… tropical paradise… so relaxing and soothing was this tea that it sent me daydreaming of the islands, the orchids, jasmines and hibiscus flowers.
I was highly impressed with the two flavored teas I tasted such that I purchased them and five other tropical flavored teas — Strawberry Lychee, Pineapple Waikiki, Mango Maui, Hibiscus Honey Lemon and Guava Ginseng — from their website. I had the company send these items priority mail (USPS) and it took four days for the shipment to arrive at my home yesterday afternoon. I believe I received my money’s worth on these teas. The total cost of my order (shipping and handling included) was $ 46.64. Thus, each tea bag cost me 33 cents.
The wedding party favors gave me an idea to assemble thank you party favors (2 teabags, 1 Honolulu shortbread cookie and 2 macadamia Hershey kisses) for my co-​workers and friends at my retirement luncheon later next month. A special couple shared their Hawaiian memories with me and I am extremely grateful that I want to do the same — share part of my memories of Hawaii with the people who worked with me in my office… Aloha and mahalo nui.
