Hanauma Bay Tours

I was able to book last minute (less than 24 hours) we were picked up on time, given great advice and great equipment! The price was extremely reasonable. To rent snorkeling equipment from the park is just $ 2 less and it doesn’t include transportation! I look forward to booking them again!

Great ride there and great snorkeling but where I was disappointed was the ride back. We got on the bus at the meeting point and comfortable. Then our driver took us to the local mall and transferred us to the same size van but a lot more crowded. Every seat was full. It was hot and the ac didn’t reach all the way to the back. Then of course we were the last stop. Next time I’ll just get up early and drive myself. It looked like there was still parking by 8:00 am when we arrived.

Went snorkeling with the fish and had a blast. This is the only way to do it. Picked up at our hotel, got good equipment and instructions, dropped off at hotel. Excellent service. I will book it again.

We called less than 24 hours prior to our tour and was able to get the last 2 slots for 10:20am the next day. We were picked up just right across the street from our hotel, (pacific monarch) and a van came to get us within 20 minutes (they were running a little later than 10:20, but that was ok.) we sat at the very last row of the van with 4 other people so it was difficult to hear our driver’s name. I think it was Sam through Snorkelfest, so you may want to look up Snorkelfest on Unilocal too.
Sam was super funny and friendly and went through rules, guidelines, and tips with us on the way to Hanauma Bay. Without 20 minutes, we were dropped off at the bay with knowledge on how to use our snorkel gear and the time and place Sam would pick us up. He recommended us to stick together like a family and watch out for each other while in the water, which I thought was an amazing tip. My BF and I ended up snorkeling with our van crew all day which made us feel safe and made it more fun to do.
We did the standard snorkeling tour which was 2 hours of snorkeling for $ 22.00 (what a steal!) It is notable to mention that there is a $ 7.50 dollar admission fee into the bay and also a 9 minute instructional video that is mandated before you head down to the bay.
There is a tram that takes you up and down the small hill to the bay. We walked up and down both ways it wasn’t that bad, plus there’s always a long time for people that don’t want to walk back up after snorkeling. It costs only $ 1 – 1.25 so not bad at all for that option.
This trip was probably my favorite activity! A must go for all visitors to Oahu! Thank you Hanauma Bay and Snorkelfest!

Great trip, on time, organized, we would go again!

We were squeezed in last minute on the snorkel tour and were very thankful, but it seemed Robin was a little unsure of the details and had to call me back (very friendly though). Eric called me back and was very friendly and helpful.
We got great snorkeling direction in our way to the bay from our driver, our gear fit perfect and we were excited. Had a great time snorkeling, besides the fact that my fiancé couldn’t get a tight seal around his goggles for some reason, but we tried to make due and spent an hour snorkeling. WEAR SUNSCREEN! You will thank me later! I hardly burn but boy was I red when I got home!
Only down fall was that our driver Carl forgot us and left us at the bay! I had to call him and let him know he was missing two passengers in his tour! That was frustrating and we had to wait for him to turn around, nor did we get a sorry. More of a brush off. I understand mistakes happen, but being almost left/​stranded can be scary.

Are you wondering is it worth using this outfit? Yeah, it is. Robin took my last minute reservation was pleasant, and through enough, to do a courtesy follow up phone call to make sure I found the right pick up spot and had any questions. Daniel was our courteous, funny, and informative Romanian driver who we all were very fortunate to get! The rental gear is fair and I recommend paying an extra $ 3 for the Dry Snorkel Valve attachment for easier snorkeling. By the way I checked out the renal gear from the Hanauma Bay shop and its colorful crap! Hanauma Bay Tours is worth your vacation dollars.

I have been to Hanauma Bay before but did not use a tour. On this trip, thought it would be better to use a tour company and I made the right choice. Hanauma Bay Tours were amazing from the time I booked to the time we were dropped off at the hotel after snorkeling. Sam was our driver and he was great. Very knowledgable and fun. They have the equipment we needed, showed us how to use it, showed us which were the best areas to snorkel and had addition items like water for an addition charge ($ 1). Bring your own or buy from them, it will be cheaper than waiting until you get there. BIG THUMBS UP to Hanauma Bay Tours!!!

Great operation. Very helpful, explained where we could find most of the wildlife in the bay. Snorkeling gear was included in the price, so it didn’t need to be rented at the bay itself. They even offered underwater cameras for a small fee. Our drivers were knowledgeable and fun. James was particularly a fun guy to have as our driver. Would very much recommend.
