The University of Hawai’i at Manoa Library is open to anyone who wishes to use its resources in the Hamilton Library and Sinclair Library buildings. Children 13 years of age and younger must be supervised by an adult. Certain resources including wireless access are restricted to University students, faculty and staff. Limited borrowing and internet access privileges may be approved for visiting scholars. Hamilton Library houses specialized Asia, Hawaii and Pacific research material, Sinclair Library houses Music and Audio-​Visual material.

History

Established in 1908.

The University of Hawai’i at Manoa Library serves as a key resource for the Manoa campus and for the other UH system campuses as well. Located in Honolulu’s Manoa Valley, the Manoa campus is a land, sea and space grant institution. It is rated as a Carnegie Research Universities (Very High Research Activity) institution.
