To make me change my mind about purchasing a worthless time share? Ummm nope!

We checked in on a Thursday and found a special for a massage for $ 99.00. The card was in the hotel information file that was left on the kitchen table. The card listed no expiration date. We contacted them on Sat and were told the special was no longer in effect. We were told the massage
would now cost $ 175. We spoke to the manager of the spa and were offered a 25 percent discount but they would not honor the special. This feels like a bait and switch. The spa claims housekeeping should have removed the flyer. I feel the flyer should have listed a termination date… if indeed there was one.

Wow impressed with this well planned vacation resort. 5 days and 4 nights with our adult kids so much fun you seriously can stay on property the whole time because they thought of everything you need to keep busy. Will come back — nice and clean and updated rooms. The staff are friendly and professional

Beautiful accommodations and great location on the beachfront. Was a bit disappointed that towels and bedding aren’t changed or made daily. Most hotels and cruises have daily service of their rooms, but yet this timeshare resort does not offer this. There was blood on the fitted sheet the first evening when I turned down the bed. They changed it the next day after reporting it, but I was disappointed.
Went to the timeshare presentation and had a bubbly and fabulous sales rep. The front desk was severely unorganized and needs some coaching on smiling and acknowledging people when they arrive. My agent seemed to be the only warm and friendly sales rep as others seemed to be cold. The only con to the timeshare presentation is that you won’t respectfully accept a no. This is a business proposition and you assume that your selling tactics will create conversion with all your appointments. No information about the maintenance fees were presented during a past presentation nor phone conversations. I had to research it myself. Also looked and the price I paid for this ‘exclusive opportunity’ was the same price as if I had booked the rainbow tower online — and there would not be annual $ 1,000 maintenance fees. The sales rep was even blunt enough and recognized that he was pushing the sale by stating that «this meeting will go a whole lot faster if you just whip out your credit card.» This was two hours into the presentation. Then he tried to guilt trip me into all the ‘regret’ I would have by saying no. I will never regret this decision as I felt freedom after leaving what felt equivalent to a police interrogation. I will never regret turning down this ‘opportunity’ because I would never want you to contractually have access to charge me annual maintenance fees that increase annually for the rest of my life.
I will definitely try to return to the Hawaiian village but I will never consider a time share as you treat potential owners as revenue stream rather than people. If the rental side of the Hawaiian Village is booked next visit, I will book at the other Hilton location or the Royal Hawaiian.

Best place to stay in Waikiki! Friendly staff. Nice rooms. Fast elevators. Gift shop food is very expensive.

I’m very lucky to be here. My customer from Japan has timeshare here in Hilton. They got the most expensive one and also they are VIP of highest rank so everything is exclusive. What you pay what you get I think.

The rooms are great and grounds are well maintained. We did have a problem with the previous people in the room clearly smoking. This can happen at any hotel. I am disappointed it took over 48 hours for staff to bring up an ionizer which did not really work. We bought Febreze at a local grocery store and it took care of the smell.
We would stay again. I do wish the pools slides stayed open a little later.

I booked this property due to it’s location and the amenities it provided. We stayed here the week of July 7^th and had two separate 1 bedroom rooms. Upon arriving, we were greeted with lai’s and a nice check in area. The woman who checked us in seemed as though she was bothered by us and not friendly at all. She was however, the only person at the front desk who was not friendly during our entire stay. Our rooms were very nice and well equipped with partial ocean views. The general store on the main level has quite a few grocery items but not enough to prepare a full meal unless you like microwave meals. During the first part of your stay they try their hardest to get you in for a timeshare presentation by offering you all kinds of free gifts. We attempted to use the swimming pool on the first day but it was so crowded it just wan’t enjoyable. The little lagoon was fun and filled with water toys such as kayaks, peddle boats and water bikes. You do have to pay to use them but they are a reasonable price. The beach is not the greatest but it’s only a 20 minute drive from here to get to beautiful beaches. The biggest issue I had with this area was the traffic. It can take 20 minutes to go 5 miles. Overall it was nice but I would consider staying in a house in a less populated part of the island before returning here. Valet is $ 35 a day. There is a playstation in every room and a DVD and video game rental system on the main floor. Housekeeping was very friendly.

We were here over the weekend in a 2 bedroom suite. We had a full living room and kitchen. I was wonderful. Since the kitchen was available we cooked some and went out to eat a couple meals. There was pretty much everything we needed in the kitchen.

A large two bedroom suite time share that was quite large with a full kitchen and two bathrooms. The rooms are clean and that’s important. If you’re a visitor In Hawaii you can catch the weekly Friday fireworks in the Hilton property at 7:45 pm while having dinner at Hilton’s several restaurants or nearby ones. The view at the Hilton is the best as you can watch the sunset or stroll along at the beach.

I’m a HGV owner and first time staying here. Clean, friendly staff, beautiful rooms, quiet, had everything needed. Downside: Pools are so crowded with kids. It’s really too bad they do not make one of the pools on the property «adults only.» Major downside for someone like me traveling without munchkins. I hate that Hilton charges for parking. Makes me crazy. This time i didn’t have a car, but still irks me. Some do and some don’t. Concierge were very useful. They could use better restaurants in the hotel property. Good local eats: Magokoro, Aloha Kitchen, Goofy Café, and the restaurant at Neiman Marcus.

To be honest, this is just not our type of place… it’s a huge hotel with thousands of rooms/​guests and the beach is crammed full of people and families…
However, the rooms were very well appointed/​furnished and were very comfortable and we slept really well :-)
On the down side, $ 27 a day for parking, $ 29 for a beach umbrella for the day and $ 15 each for a chaise on the beach (plus everything else!) just starts to add up to a very expensive vacation… it costs $ 20 for the first hour for a surfboard and it will take you that length of time to paddle out to the surf! ;-)
It seems Americans are willing to put up with these hugely ridiculous sums of money for extras that are included everywhere else in the world… perhaps these mega-​hotels are all the same (which is probably why we don’t stay in them very often).
The beach is fine — but if you are truly looking for a Hawaiian paradise vacation, this is not the place — go to Kauai or Maui… :-)
Another observation that we had was the number of people sleeping in the hotel lobby… obviously not everyone can get a late checkout, but the hotel should make provision for late checkout guests in some way shape, or form… we asked for a late checkout and were denied, but eventually got a 1pm checkout after a lot of complaining because the arrival/​departure lounge was closed for the day… still, seeing lots of people sleeping in the hotel lobby does not give a good impression and a few rooms set aside for guests to change and get a shower if they have late in the day flights, would not seem to be a big ask…
Overall, we would not buy a timeshare here in a million years and would not come back to stay again (despite everyone raving about how great it is here!)… there are too many other beautiful places in the Hawaiian islands (having spent 3 weeks traveling around them, this was by far our least favorite)…
If you like enormous hotels with over-​priced extras and packed beaches — this is the place for you… ;-)

It was a first time staying here. We were very impressed with their cleanliness, customer services, and their amenities. Would definitely return again!

Stayed several nights at the HGVC Grand Waikikian for the first time. It’s a nice place. Staff mostly friendly. The usual space and decoration I’ve come to know at other HGVC resorts. The air conditioner wasn’t working and when I called (twice) it was repaired but never really did get cold. The valet parking was a bit slow… seems there are not enuff valet staff – especially on a weekend. But the valet were very nice and seemed to be hustling every time I saw them.

First and foremost I just want to thank the staff at the Grand Waikikian for their extraordinary customer service. From the moment we arrived, there were nothing but smiles and warm greetings from the staff.
Upon check-​in we received the flower leis (I always dreamed of that moment) which was a nice treat. Check-​in itself was fast and easy and we were off to find our room. We got to the room, it was nice and clean. We were also pleasantly surprised that we were not only on the 32^nd floor but we had a great view of the ocean and the Hiltons mad made lagoon.
The room itself, was a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo style room. As I said before it was nice and clean when we arrived.
Overall I would say that my stay here was wonderful. I also want to note that the hotel gives you front access to Waikiki beach and they also provide you will towels (there’s a towel card provide). I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit the island of Oahu.

We stayed for 4 nights with ocean view last month. We are HGVC owners and this is our home timeshare. It’s just hard to make a reservation at grand waikikian so it was our first time to stay there. But, we were little disappointed about few things.
Washer and dryer… worst compact quality machine! Especially we run dryer for 2 hours but clothes were still wet and got damaged so we had to hang in the room overnight!
Kings land and other property have better and larger size! We won’t stay there even it’s our home timeshare if they keep those machines.
Most pool are closed night time and no adult pool. I understand there are so many children but we don’t have kids and it was wrong decision to stay there as our anniversary trip.
We are thinking about selling our timeshare and getting Hyatt residence in Maui where we stayed and great place.
Fireworks are great and hot tab was large enough to relax.

I can’t help but compare this to Hokulani– the newest HGVC property. The rooms are spacious, and the full kitchen is nice. Our patio faced the street, so traffic noise was a factor and also construction. There’s also no pools where children aren’t allowed. We had to go to a completely different tower to a 4^th floor pool to try and escape the screaming, splashing kids. The lagoon also smells a bit funky! Maybe because its stagnant? I don’t know, but twice when we walked down to watch the sunset, the smell was overwhelming. Overall, the property is beautiful and more geared towards family. I want a hotel geared towards adults. So I would come back, if only for a place to stay, if I had kids or was traveling with family that did.

Great accommodations, but more importantly, tremendous staff! Rooms are immaculate and spacious. However the decore and furniture are dated (some show scratches). Lively beach, and an awesome lagoon where the kids can swim, or you can paddle-​board.
In love the village ambiance. You can walk around the village all day and not get board. Foods good. Our waiter was slow and miserable, but if that’s my only complaint it’s all good.

Hilton was a wonderful choice made by Wifee. The room was great and had granite, stainless steel and nice upgrades. Also the view was outstanding and service magnificent!
