at 2:14pm I ordered chicken aroscaldo, I’m the only one in there as its super bowl Sunday. I only ordered one for grandma. I got the food at 2:50pm. Does it take that long to heat up the aroscaldo or do you think they made it from scratch. And they didn’t even apologize for taking long. I guess that’s how eh

I go here for the desserts and pandesal. I admit their pastries and desserts are pretty good. Their main entries are okay. Parking is horrible here because it’s very limited. It absolutely does no justice during busy times. Take caution during holidays, this place is jam packed. The restaurant becomes smaller in place and you elbow others while you walk.

Golden coin Kalihi has one of worst customer service I have ever experienced, the lady’s that work here are so slow and dumb they should not work there, they make me shame because I’m Filipino to, never going back again…

I wish I could give no stars but we all know that Unilocal does not allow us to. Ridiculous that I have to wait 10 – 15 minutes for pandesal. You obviously know that people come in all times of the day to order a dozen or so of pandesal. Common sense is to have fresh baked ones ready to go. Come on it is the 21^st century. Get with the program.

Okay, before you judge my rating here, please listen to my story first.
I’ve come here on a couple of occasions (much to my dismay) to partake in their food… of course it’s only due to convenience. Two Words: BIG MISTAKE.
1. The customer service was absolutely horrendous… this is one of those places that their workers have the attitude that if they find someplace better, they’ll abandon it like rats off a sinking ship… a pretty accurate analogy if you ask me. The employees definitely see you as a work-​related nuisance, not a customer.
2. The food is not on par with even sub-​standard quality. The food is either too fatty, too bland, overcooked, and their pastries are not that tasty… at least the stuff I’ve ordered. Even their halo-​halo tasted a litle off. I thought going there a second time would allow me to change my opinion… it didn’t.
So in conclusion, even though I do not wish to give a negative review, I feel that in regards to this place, I absolutely have no choice in the matter. At least I gave one star. If my wife had her way, she’d give this place a zero or negative number.

I came here for the first time and bought a few small items, and I was surprised they cost me that much — too pricey for me.
The cashier never smiled and it was very obvious that she’s not having a good day at 8 am. Definitely not coming back. I would rather go somewhere else where people are happy to see me.

NEVER AGAIN! Customer service sucks! Food wasn’t even hot… parking sucks… bubble tea wasn’t even filled to the top… the workers don’t have a smile or greet the customers…

Person who took my order was rude. Did not let me finish with my order, never say thank you or please… service is really bad, customer service is worst, everyone looks irritated, waited in line for 10 mins to pick up a phone order… Manager josie looks mad no thank u anything,…

If I can rate below 5 stars I would. Ladies don’t smile, always in a bad mood, talk shiet in front of customers, bought halohalo but ran out of ice cream and not accommodating any type of discount. I’ll b sure to tell everyone how horrible this location is.

This is not the first time I came to this restaurant and every time I’m in line to order, they always seem to take the order of the person behind me. I mean, am I invisible? They don’t have coordination and always talking to each other while there’s a customer in front of them. They are rude to the max. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I give them negative 5.

This place only gets 1 point of the star instead of a half a star or a whole star. The worst customer service ever. It took me about 5 minutes 8 minutes max to order the pork adobo. I was about to walk out but I asked for another person to help me and she just told the original lady what I wanted but still that lady didn’t understand. I will be going to another location next time because this location is not good helping out their customers. Terrible customer service.

Worst customer service ever! Only thing that looked appetizing was their lechon which the worker there refused to sell to me as a plate lunch, even though they clearly have it displayed on their menu as a plate lunch! She insisted I buy it as a side and purchase a plate lunch on top of that. I walked out, I don’t recommend this place to anyone. Their food looked old and the place was dirty. Save your money and go somewhere else.

This place has truly gone down hill! Everything is ALWAYS EXTRA CHARGE and they give so little. Service is slow and rude! They obviously do whatever they can to RIP you off! Ordering pandasal takes ½ hour for just 6 pieces. Prices has gone up few months at a time! Owners seem to only be in on it for profit not customer satisfaction! Like c’mon OWNERS you need reevaluate why you open up shop in the first place! I pray you close soon truly boycotting this place! I truly wish I could give NO STARS!!! And don’t think I don’t understand Tagalog so next time come at me with some insulting remarks I will react same! Cherry on top It’s truly baffling how they can charge extra and give so little to their customers but you see the employees coming out with fully loaded plates for their lunch?!

Bad service! 1) Did u ever call this place? Well I notice when you call they sound as if they can’t hear or you or make like something is wrong with there phone THEN click hangs up. Try it. Someone told me there phone isn’t broken and they can hear you. So instead when you call again you ask to speak for manager… then they will actually talk. When I explained I had been calling… they answer I answer… then they hang up manager paused. What is funny Is that it’s the same lady who answered the first time and hanging up on me.
2) I notice when your standing in line people just goes to the front and cuts in line as if there isn’t a line, even If you are waiting to get there attention. They need to put a divider at cashier check out in front to avoid this. So bad and terrible. All the reviews I see and few are right it doesn’t deserve to have any stars.

I love my filipino food… but I was real disappointed with my last visit. I ordered the pork guisantes and squash with pork entrees. While the guisantes tasted the same as all the other times, it was the squash dish that is garnering my «1» rating. It was STONE COLD… enough that the oil and fat on the pork was hardening. Yuck. But, what surprised me the most was that it was 9:00 am IN THE MORNING… how can the dishes not be warm?
Customer service wasn’t the best either… but it sure beat the cold food…
Heading to the GC in Waipahu from now on…

Ordered 6 pieces of pandesal took 22 minutes. People that ordered after me had their order. Watch out if you order food. .saw a roach in the food! !

Full disclosure, I’m not local and am a gringo on vacation. The in-​laws love GC. I ordered the pancit and the blood pudding. My wife ordered the pork adobo. I was hoping the pancit would be similar to the batch my mother-​in-​law made but it was not the case. The blood pudding was too runny but tasted okay. The pork adobo was also average at best. The pinakbet was by far and away the best dish at GC. It had good flavor but other than that, the food was average. If you’re looking for a quick Filipino fix, GC might do the trick.
For dessert, we got the halo halo and it was huge. I don’t see how anyone could get a combination plate and still be able to finish that icy behemoth.

I ordered a half pan of Puto which is pretty good. When it comes to customer service, communication isn’t up to par. We wanted to make a breakfast phone order when we were on our way to pick up our order of Puto. 1^st and 2^nd employee that answered didn’t comprehend of what I was trying to say. I’ve asked if it were possible to order breakfast over the phone and one of them said «Uhhh…you want vegetables?»…the 2^nd person I’ve talked to I’ve asked the same question… she responded by saying «do you want bread?» The 3^rd Person I’ve spoken with was the supervisor and obviously she didn’t comprehend of what I was asking for.
Not to be mean or insult the staff that works there, but please work on the communication skills when dealing with customers. FYI, I’m Filipino myself. So please work on your customer service skills.

Hmmm, I don’t even know why I bother coming here.
–Parking is horrible.
–Customer service is slow.
–Food is shameful.
I’ve never been a huge fan of their food. I used to go there for these 3 menu items: chicken empanadas, sago at gulaman (sugar cane drink), and halo halo. However, those are 3 habits that were easily broken due to parking and customer service. The chicken empanadas are pretty good if you get them fresh. Sometimes, they serve the old empanadas if they haven’t sold them from the night before. Unacceptable. I still like the sago at gulaman which is like a Filipino bubble drink. They add gelatin into the drink in addition to the tapioca. The halo halo is pretty good but you can get larger portions from Dave’s Ice Cream and Goldilocks.
The rest of the food, however is pretty bad for Filipino food. The portions aren’t very large and a lot of the food looks and tastes like it’s been sitting there all day. Don’t even bother with their Spanish rolls; they don’t even come close to Nanding’s Bakery’s Spanish Rolls. Although they are larger in size compared to Nanding’s, this is the one time though where size isn’t everything.
If you’re looking for fast and friendly service, don’t bother coming here. The employees move at an extra slow speed. I’m not sure why it takes so long to get our food because all of the food is already prepared and ready for serving at their hot food buffet and I have never been helped by a friendly employee at this location.

Should have ZERO stars. Bad everything. Only come here as last resort.
But seriously, they suck
