Gesik Physical Therapy

Patrick and Adrienne are the best. I have an ongoing tightness and pain in my elbow. I did therapy elsewhere, massage, Accupuncture, icing, and herbal therapy. Nothing worked. I didn’t know a thing about trigger point therapy before Gesik. I was skeptical at first, but it definitely works. I’m still not 100% but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel for the first time in a year and a half. I had lost hope before seeing these guys. If you have something wrong with your muscles or joints, don’t wait. Check them out NOW. It’s worth it. On top of that, the people who work here are warm and friendly people. By far, the best physical therapy I’ve ever been to! Sadly, with three ACL tears and a bad back, I’ve been to quite a few. Patrick and the team are seasoned professionals that yield fantastic results!
I’ve only worked with Patrick and Osho, and each person has fantastic skills. Patrick is a second-​generation physical therapist; I actually saw his father in 1994 for my first physical therapy sessions, and Patrick has learned a lot from the family business. Osho teaches great technique in a manner that is friendly, strong on technique, and productive.
I’ve often thought of writing several terrible reviews for them so that I can keep them to myself, but that would be very unfair to everyone else! I always feel much better when I leave their place.
The biggest tip I can offer anyone is planning ahead (as far as you can predict); since they are so good, and therefore popular because of that.
I like that they’ve got a lot of space to work with, a good selection of high quality equipment, and the skills to use all that equipment to your advantage. The view is also fantastic, it’s a great distraction!
Their support staff (Lauren & Kaili) are professional, diligent, & cheerful– they all work great as a team!

Went to many PT places never getting anything resolved… but since I’ve been coming here, I finally lost a limp that I had over a year.
Honestly I was losing hope that I would ever get better, but coming here and finally walking like «normal» again really encouraged me on my recovery.
I use to surf and cycle and hike and but after my back injury I thought that would never happen. Gesik therapy feels like a support system to motivate my body and myself to healing. I don’t know why it took me so long to find them. They do a different approach the PT that is more focused on healing than physical fitness.
They have parking and can validate for you.

I was reallu impressed with time spent on finding out-​by questioning at first– my history and what could be causing my pain AND then finding a solution that will be easy for me to remember, tools to remind me, and even pictures for me to use as models.

Dr. Gesick is excellent. I was referred to him after having surgery for a full thickness rotator cuff tear. His therapy strain counter strain is an excellent method dealing with the nervous system, that most people have not heard of. I’ve tried many methods including Shiatsu, ART, Chiropractic care etc… And I can say that this method is highly effective.

Seriously, this is the BEST practice in town. I had shoulder surgery 6 months ago and from day 1 Patrick and his team had me ahead of healing the entire time.
The staff are SUPER professional (Kaili has that front desk and scheduling running like a well oiled machine!), knowledgable, responsive, and best of personable.
Osho is an AMAZING Physical Therapist Assistant and determined to make you WORK when the time comes to put your mobility and strength to the test. Don’t let his friendly shyness fool you, he’ll make you sweat!
Patrick is super knowledgable and he and his staff are always proactive with educating their patients about their injury, recovery, resting, etc. He takes a holistic approach to find the root of the problem and heals from there.
Family run practice so if Patrick isn’t there, you’re sure to see his parents, whom are also Physical Therapists (ahem no wonder he knows so much) helping out from time to time.
The team at this place had me back at crossfit within 3 months to do light work and functional movements. Super Happy!!!

Met with Dr. Patrick Gesik to follow up with treatment on my strained rotator cuff. Heard a lot of good things about him as he was the one to help our former intern and UH pitcher, Jarrett Arakawa. He seems almost fully recovered and doing really good this 2015 UH Baseball season.
Location is in the Gold Bond Building and parking is plentiful on the 3^rd floor. Make sure to park towards Ward/​Ala Moana side so that you go up the correct elevator.
The office is right outside of the elevator on the 7^th floor. Kaili is super awesome and helpful. She helped book all of my appointments before my initial visit. (Don’t forget to bring some cash for your co-​pay!)
The 1^st session he explained a lot about what he thinks is going on with your body. Then he explains what we need to do to heal and prevent it from happening again. Lots of wisdom being dropped by Dr. Gesik! After getting treated by Dr. Gesik, Osho comes in to help with all the exercises.
Osho is really good at making sure you have good form and technique that I may have been lacking when I was doing my exercises from previous injuries. He walks through the exercises every time I go to visit to make sure I still have good form and doing it properly.
They can do text message reminders which are super helpful!
Would highly recommend Dr. Gesik and his team.

Patrick does great work. After 5 physical therapists and years of pain and immobility I finally have full range of motion in my right arm. He understands more than just the mechanics; he gets to the underlying cause of the problem and corrects it. I’d give him six stars if there was such a thing :)

When I first started with Patrick, I could only raise my left arm no higher than my chest. At the end of my treatments, I could raise my arm past my ears. I couldn’t believe after only a month of therapy that my shoulder was getting better. From what i’ve been hearing, if I had gone to another therapist I would still be in therapy. What? You mean not all therapy is the same? I am so grateful that I was referred to Patrick. Patrick also gave me strengthening exercises to do at home to help me progress. Which I think is what helped me recover faster. Towards the ending of my therapy was when I was introduced to Derek, another therapist who works with Patrick. I must say he is just as good as Patrick. Although he made me work harder while doing strength training… grrrr…just kidding. I would def go back there for any kind of injury… not that I want to go back… hahahaha.
His office is in the Gold Bond Building on Ala Moana Blvd. If you don’t know where that is, it’s across the new Highway Inn Restaurant, and if you don’t know where that is, it’s diagonally across from the Volvo Dealership. When you first walk into his office you are filled with positive energy. Kaili the receptionist is the sweetest girl. The waiting area is very open and not stuffy. But who needs a waiting room? As soon as you sit, they’re calling you into their office. That’s what I absolute love about this office. They never keep you waiting. Now… here come’s the best part… are you ready? THE VIEW!!! When you walk into their office or the gym… the view is GORGEOUS! They have floor to ceiling glass windows. You can see the ocean. Who wouldn’t want to see the ocean while doing exercises? I just want to go back for the view… hahahaha.
Parking. I was always dropped off, so I don’t know too much about the parking. But I did notice that there was parking on the same floor that his office was on.
Would I recommend going to see Patrick or Derek? YES! Not only are they good at what they do, but they are very personable. I just can’t say enough good things about this company. Thanks… Patrick, Derek and Kaili!!!

Have bad case of runners knee, went to see Dr. Patrick. Leg feels much better after just one visit!
