Farmer’s Market at Royal Hawaiian Village

On a nice Tuesday afternoon on Waikiki… Sometimes you want to check out a little flavor of Hawaii that isnt available in the hodge podge collection of boutique stores and high end retailers that the Strip has to offer. That’s why when we noticed that there was a Farmers’ Market at the Royal Hawaiian, we decided to go check it out.
Seems like a nice idea but there really wasnt much to select from. Only a handful of merchants participate in the weekly event. Hope that this is only because it is just getting off the ground and that many more vendors join in. The location is nice as it is in the upper levels of the Royal Hawaiian. It is tucked away off the street and offers nice cool breezes. Really wish that there were more to see and taste.
There were a few bakeries and Thai food vendors… along with some fresh juicers and local honey farmers. I will look forward to checking this out again and hope that they have expanded to showcase more. It stands to be a nice draw to the location if organizers find a way to increase Vendor/​Merchant participation.
