My favorite (boba) tea so far on the island. That says a lot.
I don’t love boba but I love the tea part, especially fruit teas and when I can really taste the tea without an odd aftertaste.
Go. Watermelon green tea. Full sweet, half sweet, less sweet. All good.
OK so I tried a few drinks here and this one is my consistent fav.

So, last night as I was reading reviews, I came across a review by our CM, Emi H. for this business location. All was going well when I suddenly became «haunted» by a line in her review regarding the ingredients that make the lychee jelly. Ack! She dared to mention that Sci-​Fi movie, Soylent Green, and my imagination went wild! Geez, I almost had a nightmare even though I sort of knew that the «jelly» is made from nata de coco. Oops, but I digress…
Well, since we had just dined at Nabeya Maido in the Market City Shopping Center, we moseyed 2 doors away to Dragon Tea. This Taiwanese tea shop serves milk teas, fruit teas, fruit tea slushes and of course, pure teas and non-​caffeinated drinks. You can even add in «toppings» such as boba, flavored nata, flavored agar and puddings. There are other variations that include pearls, popping boba, grass jelly, chia seeds and a combination of boba and jelly.
We were contentedly full from lunch, so we decided to share a drink. We chose S13 from the menu… a large FRESH WATERMELON GREEN TEA SLUSH with, what else, lychee nata. Our drink was refreshing, light and naturally sweet from the fresh watermelon chunks. The slushy consistency was easy to slurp while the lychee nata added texture and a little sweetness. The drink tasted natural and was served icy-​cold.
Oh, thanks to Unilocal Hawaii, there is a 10% discount when you check-​in. Dragon Tea offers a loyalty card, too, which I’m looking forward to filling just to get a free 16 oz. drink.

Cool to see another Dragon Tea location. I enjoyed their Waikiki location. Here though, the cashier could be a bit more friendly/​helpful/​articulate. I tried to request light ice for my drink, which he completely ignored. I was more or less okay with it, but they really put too much ice in some of the drinks by default. I had the honey lemon tea which was quite honestly pricey. At $ 5.50 for a regular size, this is really expensive compared to coffee or other tea places. The tea was good, but more on the lemony/​sour/​bitter side. TL;DR, there are some drawbacks to this place, but they do offer great tea drinks.

Out of all the boba places in all the world Dragon Tea is my favorite! And finally they have a location which is NOT in Waikiki and has PARKING!!! When I visited their other location Id have to practically kidnap someone to wait in the car while I ran in to grab my drinks.
Their watermelon slush with lychee jelly is the perfect treat on a hot day. Not too sweet, not too bland, but jusssssst right. I don’t want to ever know what lychee jelly is really made of, so please don’t ever tell me. My girlfriend once told me that a single boba is 10 calories and life went downhill from there. Allow me to live in the temporary happiness of consuming a substance which is most likely made of recycled plastic or baby pandas or our modern day version of soilent green. Like I said, just don’t tell me.
When I visited Dragon Tea I brought along my food twin (Sherri F) and we sipped in quiet delight on our watermelon slushies wth lychee jelly. This location is clean with lots of seating and perfect for meeting up with your lychee jelly loving friends. Ignorance really is bliss…

Dragon Tea, located in the Market City Shopping Center, in line with Nabeya Maido, Café Kaila and Anytime Café, they are open daily from 11:00 AM.
The first thing you notice when you step into the shop is the brightly colored seats and the two unique hanging basket seats (with weight limit posted on the wall). Menu board is relatively easy to understand, choices are Fruit Tea, Fruit Tea Slush, Milk Tea, Pure Tea and Non-​Caffeinated Drinks. There are so many choices, we asked for recommendations, which their staff told us, one of their most popular drinks is the DT Special, though he didn’t offer an explanation behind the name.
On this visit, I opted for the Thai Milk Tea (M08) with boba topping and my friend chose the DT Special (M04) that already comes with boba and coffee jelly. Personally, both were on the sweeter side. I really enjoyed the coffee jelly in the DT Special. The texture on the boba was on the softer side, though I can’t be certain if that is their style, or just a softer batch of boba.
There are two categories for topping offering; either $ 0.50 (boba, coffee jelly, pudding etc) or $ 0.75 (white agar pearls, aloe, popping bobba, chia seed and grass jelly).

This review is base mainly on the drinks.
Drinks are awesome since they use fresh fruits (selected drinks only), watermelon green tea and grapefruit green tea never disappoint me, I tried all of the drinks that include seasonal fruit, and I gatta say I love them all! The proportion between the fruits and tea are perfect, it does not taste fully fruity nor overpower by the tea. Milk teas are favorable and not bland at all, they didn’t mess up the basic toppings too, but they have being out of popping boba for awhile, I hope they comes back cuz my boyfriend loves them.
See, I would’ve give them 5 stars if its not because of their service. The workers there seems like they don’t really like their job, and whenever they make the drinks they tend to take their time, even though I stand there for a minute and receive no greeting or eye contact, completely being ignored. But this is a milk tea place, so I don’t really care about service that much, thats why I still love this place and go there pretty often.
Overall, drinks are perfect but could use a little more improvement on service.

I’m ecstatic that Dragon Tea opened a new location recently!
Why? Parking of course. Previously, the old location didn’t really have much Peking besides a few nearby street stalls. Oh, but we’re the drinks good!
This location is pretty much the same thing but the parking is a little better. Not by much since Market City can be real busy.
Best drink? Number F15! Try it! Both the watermelon tea and watermelon slush are my go to drinks there. I have a hard time getting anything else.
Compared to other places, service is a little slower because drinks does take a bit longer to make.

This place right next to where we ate so we decided to try it. Ordered a matcha milk tea and watermelon green tea slush. The guy at the front looked like he hated his job. Maybe he was having a bad day, I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt.
Drinks wise, I didn’t like either drinks. The matcha was extremely bitter. My dad tried it and said its the worst tea he’s ever had. We tried to go and change it for something else, but the guy refused and only offered to add sugar. The watermelon slush was not even close to being slushy and it was okay tasting. The boba itself was the best part.
Overall, the place is cute and maybe a food place for getting a drink and studying, even though I didn’t like the drinks. Maybe it was just the two drinks we ordered, but I think I will be sticking to the other boba places that I know I like.

Been here a few times now, and have yet to hit any snags. It’s a great spot to relax with a drink and work on your computer or just kick it with friends. They play a soft mix of music in the background for ambiance, which is occasionally interrupted by the blenders. There are a ton of outlets on one wall, four per table! TWC wifi is accessible but I’m not sure if they have their own. The cashiers have been helpful, offering stamp cards and piping up with suggestions when I’m discussing the options with my friends.
The drinks I’ve tried have been pretty good so far. I’ve tried the pudding milk tea, chocolate milk tea, and matcha milk tea. The first two were pretty good, sweet examples of milk tea. The matcha milk tea was different, but in a good way. The matcha flavor was more authentic than the sugary matcha you’d find in a Kitkat or pocky, creamy and refreshing. I’ll definitely try the green tea milk tea next time and see how that differs.
I don’t consider myself a boba connoisseur, but the boba here has its own sweet flavor that simply works. I’ve also gotten the pudding topping, which basically cubed japanese custard. HIGHLY recommended if you’ve ever enjoyed custard. You can also ask for half/​half so they charge for one topping but split the quantity between the two toppings!
Drinks start at about 3.85 for the medium teas and 4.85 for fruit slushes, add about a dollar for large or hot. It’s not the cheapest around, but it’s not outrageous and tastes great. Dragon Tea will definitely be one of my regular stops when I need to escape to AC.

I try to buy a drink from here after a visit to Nabeya Maido or Café Kaila. I love their watermelon juice! The price is very reasonable and I just love watermelon juice in general.
I always take out and am sipping my juice while driving home or riding shot gun with some buddies. I recognize by other Unilocalers that there are many other Taiwanese boba joints and that this doesn’t stand out. To be truthful, I only come here after dining in somewhere in market city. I wouldn’t come to this area just for a watermelon juice.
Other reviews stated that their drinks aren’t sweet enough which doesn’t bother me personally because I enjoy my drinks on the less sweet side. There are also comments about less than superb customer service. To myself, I’m in and out and it doesn’t faze me. But again, I come just for the watermelon juice! I cannot speak for those who sit in and enjoy their drinks at the store front.
Side note: I like their green walls :)

Dragon tea in market city! hmm ymmm! i like this place. the place is very bright and clean. i like the flavor of their teas and their real fruit teas.
it taste good but i think price is little high. i pay more then $ 10 for 2 drinks even if i order the large. i have some other location that are more fresh fruit and still less then $ 10 for 2 large drinks.
i wish the price was little lower then i would go to this place more often.

This is a good place for girl talk late at night when you don’t want coffee.
Since the weather has been extra humid lately we decided to have something light and refreshing.
What I like most about this place is that it’s new bright and clean with fast service. There’s plenty of open seating and power outlets if you need to get some studying in our work done.
There are also two swing seats at the entrance of the café.
My favorite non-​caffeine drink is the fresh watermelon juice with boba. They also have a variety of white, oolong and green teas to suit your level of caffeine needed.
They also have a unique hot lemonade tea that is perfect for when you are feeling under the weather.
Depending on the time of day there is a lot of parking available. it’s a convenient location for an afternoon refreshment or an after dinner treat.

I was walking to my car when my hubby says, ‘Look! A tea place.” Hold on. I backed up and looked inside.
On the first look, Dragon Tea is a typical tea/​boba place. There are chairs, tables, swinging chairs (ok, that’s different). They have the typical menu (milk tea, toppings, smoothies). It seems like there a lot of these types of shops opening up, but I’m always game for milk tea.
We walked in about 9:30 pm. There were a few people at a table in the back. We went up and ordered a milk honey tea & a milk green tea. When our order came up, I was given an oolong tea. The counter guys seemed a little confused and spoke to each other back in forth, but went to correct the mistake.
The milk green tea was ok. The milk honey tea was alright. I’m comparing it to previous milk tea places I have frequented. In my opinion, I’ve had better for the same or cheaper cost.
Would I recommend this place, no, BUT everyone has their own tastes.

I’ve been to Dragon Tea’s Waikiki location before but I prefer this location more. It is very spacious and they have 2 cool chairs by the entrance. You can sit and swing in them while sipping your tea. Besides the 2 cool chairs they have regular chairs and tables. It’s a great place to come to kill time or to study. The parking here is 10x better because it actually has a parking lot. The staff are friendly and they greet you with a smile as you walk towards the counter. Most of the times I visited, there was no line and the drinks were made very quickly.
My favorites are the honey milk tea and the pineapple green tea slush. For their fruity drinks, they blend real fruit in them with green tea. I like their milk tea because the tea is strong. I don’t like the other places that dilute the tea and it ends up tasting like water. If you don’t like tea they have a few fruit drinks without tea in them. The drinks range from $ 3 to $ 5. For me, I think the milk tea is reasonable. I have noticed the prices going up at some of the other shops but anything under $ 4 works for me since I don’t add boba or jelly into my drinks.

With so many Taiwanese Tea places to choose from, you have to make quality drinks to stand out. I wasn’t wowed by Dragon Tea’s Thai Tea or DT Milk Tea. The drinks were watery and flat. I think it was because they had made new batches that hadn’t cooled down yet, so the warm teas melted all the ice.
If you plan to go often, get a stamp card. There’s free parking, lots of outlets, and they’re open to 11 pm.

I’ve tried their milk green tea from their waikiki location last year so I was happy to see them pop up at market city.
I think I wasn’t meant to drink healthy stuff. Here’s why. I ordered half sugar milk green tea and I think they might have not put any sugar or their sugar level is different from other places. I can’t even describe the taste. It wasn’t quite herbal tasting but not really. I know their drinks supposed to be healthier. It just wasn’t for me today.
Service was good. It’s a big spacious place to chill with your buddies.
Maybe I’ll try them another time.

I was so excited when I heard this place opened because they are close by to where I live and I love milk tea. There were so many of my Unilocal friends that checked into here so I had to come. After reading reviews, I couldn’t wait to taste their milk tea. My bb and I were lucky to come here with the Duchess after lunch. They even gave us 20% off if we liked them on Unilocal or Facebook. Keep in mind that you can’t get stamps on your stamp card if you take the discount.
The drink she ordered was unavailable because they were out of lemon. Funny that they don’t have a main ingredient so early in the day. She ordered fresh grapefruit green tea slush instead with 25% sweet. My bb tried the fresh watermelon green tea slush (recommendation from our Unilocal friends) with zero sweet and I ordered the chocolate milk tea regular sweet.
Honestly, I was disappointed after coming here. The milk tea wasn’t that sweet and other places would come to mind first if I crave milk tea in the future. It was very loud inside and the place was almost empty. The machines they use to make the drinks echo in the whole place making it really hard to talk. I did like that the place had the two hanging chairs because they were cute. It was clean inside and had nice décor. Overall, it’s ok for me but the price is a little expensive for what you get. Lucky we got 20% off so I increased their rating to 3 stars.

I have Malia H., Thomas O., and Grant S. to thank for introducing me to Dragon Tea. Malia H. gave us all the heads up about Dragon Tea opening up at Market City. The BOGO offer this week was just too good to pass up and so my bf and I found ourselves there today after lunch. We ordered the Grape Green Tea. Not my favorite, but still decent. There were grape peels in the drink which I found to be distracting but my bf felt it balanced the tea and brought forth a slight tartness. Overall, I like eating grapes, but not drinking grapes. Next time, I hope to get either a milk tea or our favorite-​the watermelon slush :)
They aren’t doing their frequent buyer stamp cards this week, but I hope that they will do it after the BOGO deal is done. I am sure that it won’t be hard to fill up those cards. I’m not a coffee person and really appreciate the quality teas which Dragon Tea offers. I also really like that they use real fruits!
This shop is much larger than their Waikiki location. There is ample seating. However, the acoustics in the place are not great and it gets quite loud. Parking can get tricky-​but is a much better alternative than Waikiki.

Nothing like checking out a new spot!
I was going to have lunch with a client but the restaurant was closed so we had to think of a new place to go. We weren’t super hungry so I suggested Dragon Tea since they just opened. He didn’t drink coffee so he was down to check this spot out.
We arrived at Market City in separate vehicles and luckily found parking right away. Everyone knows how bad the parking can get here so this was a plus. The first thing I noticed was the banner that stated buy one, get one free. I was starting to like this place before going in! It’s very inviting as you walk through the doors. You first notice how open the space is inside along with all the green chairs. Moments later the large monitors above the register displaying their menu catches your eye. Simple and clean concept which is always a plus.
The cashier greeted us with a smile and told us about their promo of buy one, get one free. We ordered but come to find out, the promo is only good if you get the same exact drink! Bummer! I really didn’t care too much on selection so we ordered two of what my client wanted. Another plus is that they take credit here. After signing, they gave us a number and we found ourselves a table. While we were waiting, we noticed how loud it was inside. It was a little challenging to converse and they were only half occupied.
They made the drinks pretty quick and we got to quench our thirst on this crazy hot day. Overall, the tea was ok. A little too sweet for my personal taste. While we were trying to chat, he wanted me to show him some simulations and illustrations of different scenarios since it’ll be easier to see versus trying to battle all the different conversations in the room. I need wifi to run the program and I figured that I’m in luck since we’re at a tea shop! Unfortunately, I wasn’t so lucky because there is no wifi. We didn’t stay long and ended up going somewhere else to finish our conversation with wifi.
Overall, this is a pretty chill spot. It’s very clean, simple and cater to a niche market. They also have nice and friendly staff. It’s aways fun to explore new places and I’m glad I came here. Personally this place isn’t my cup of tea.
