Dr. Dawson really is terrific! He’s extremely patient, has a calm presence, a great listener, cautious and meticulous. He truly makes you feel comfortable and his office staff are polite and welcoming. They are very responsive and try to work with your availability in regards to scheduling. I highly recommend going to Dr. Dawson for all things skin related!

Helpful, works with your needs, listens closely, very nice staff! Also has great availability, don’t wait 4 months to see another dermatologist.

From the beach to the dermatologist !
My first time at the dermatologist, kinda unnerving. Having a screening due to my fun lifestyle, water and sun all day everyday? No, not really but still love the sun and maybe getting too much of it.
Was I worried going in for my first dermatological examination? Sure, I don’t know what they’d find.
Luckily the staff is amazing and the doctor was great, super fun and playful almost like hanging with a old friend. But that’s not why you see a doctor right, you want to see a doctor to get health related info and some calm words about possible outcomes, well that’s what I received. The doctors are amazing as their bedside manor is only matched by the knowledge they try to instill, leaving I felt like I received a wealth of information in a format that did not seem stressed or rushed. It’s amazing how a tone of voice and a nice vibe can do wonders for any interaction, including a new encounter between two or more people.
Over all, love this place, I certainly will be making my yearly screening here so next year on this anniversary come and joint me. My motto is… if you have to see a doctor see a great one, and these are not easy to find.
Take it from a friend, great place to be if you have to be at a place like this.

I’ve seen Dr. Dawson for years, and is an excellent Doctor and even before Dr. Izumi! Dr. Hardaway is also very good too, and I had to see her when Dr. Dawson was away and I couldn’t wait. I am way over 50 yrs. old and still get zits once in a while. The best time to go is early in the morning or after lunch. They are so-​o busy, because they are excellent doctors and will take care of your problems. Staff and everyone are very nice and they’ve been there for a while. Sometimes 1 patient might take longer than others. I’ve had all kinds of problems, from zits to burns, bad falls, fungus nails to shingles and they’ve taken care of the problems. My zits would go away after a day or two. They give me appropriate medications. I wouldn’t go anywhere else! Plus that — Dr. Dawson keeps me as young as I can be. I’d like to say 18 yrs, but can’t. But, I feel like I’m 25 yrs. old again! I love them & office like they were my mom and dad!

Decent doctor. Long wait after lunch with no other patients in office. Frustrated, but in need of an exam so I stayed. Don’t feel like it was thorough. But had to get to a job with an hourly wage. We can’t all keep our clients waiting.

I have been to several dermatologists back in California as well as here on the island. I can’t express how grateful I am to finally meet both a dermatologist and an office staff that truely cares for their patients. My extent of dermatology procedures ranges from the use of accutane, retin A, clindamycin for cystic acne to microdermabrasion to smoothen out the skin and reduce the pore size/​wrinkles. Dr. Dawson is very approachable and so is his staff who will try their best to answer questions/​concerns you might have. I believe they are open on saturdays as well by appointment for those of us that are extremely busy. Being in a surgical medical back ground myself I have scoped out the cleanliness of this office and it’s staff and I am happy with my decision to stick with this office.

I went to Dr. Dawson to get a wart removed and to ask about a couple of spots that I feared might be cancer. After a very short wait I was taken into the office by his friendly medical assistant. Dr. Dawson was very friendly and knowledgeable. He told me what my spots were, (not cancer!) and sent his medical assistant back in to freeze my wart. After only one application of liquid nitrogen I was wart free! Dr Dawson is the only dermatologist I would consider going back to.

Went in for routine checkup and I felt like the doctor only looked for one thing so they could have a follow up appointment to bill me and my insurance company. I’m not going back and I wouldn’t recommend them.

Everyone in the office, including the front desk clerks and the technicians, is friendly. I’ve gone three times in the mornings and it’s great. The check-​in process is smooth and I only wait for 10 min at most.
Dr. Dawson himself is no-​nonsense: he’s quick, and he lays out treatment options with the risks and benefits of each. (My visits are for treating common hand warts and face acne.) Yet, he was friendly. I just wish I had more time to talk to him.
Only one thing keeps me from giving five stars, and that was my third visit. I couldn’t see him on my second visit because he would be on vacation, and I was aware that would just be a treatment session for my warts. I was supposed to see him my third visit re: treatment progress, but when I got there, the clerk said he was on vacation, and this would just be another treatment session with a technician. Where was my phone call, or at least an email?
Overall though, I’m still going in for my fourth visit — I’m just glad they take my insurance. Still an overall positive experience.

Great doctor. Very fast, virtually no waiting time at all and very fully staff. Highly recommend.

First impressions are everything! I actually cancelled my first appointment the day I made it, because the staff over the phone just didn’t seem to care AT ALL. They were short with me and consistently cut me off when I talked. Gave me a bad feeling about what it would be like to visit there regularly. I confirmed I made the right decision to cancel when they didn’t ask why or if I needed to reschedule; she just said thanks and hung up.
I need a dermatologist ASAP, but I will wait another day to get in to a place that shows compassion before they even meet me.

Yes, people in the office and Dr. Dawson himself are extremely friendly, but this is not why I came to his office for. I came to see him for acne-​unrelated matter and just decided to ask for a cream that may clear and make my skin flawless… I actually had a pretty nice skin at that time. What he prescribed did not work at all. Surprisingly, it actually caused acne to appear at the amount that I’ve never experienced before. I was shocked because even at 14 I have never experienced such a bad acne. I have the most horrible skin now and embarrassed to go outside. When I came to see Dr. Dawson to inform him of the above, he told me that at my age (30) the acne tend to come back and that acne will go away only after menopause. What!!! He prescribed me another cream, so I am hoping that he just did a mistake the first time and that his second prescription would work to cover his mistake. I am definitely not coming back. Sorry, Dr. Dawson, but I just had a very bad experience.
