It’s the worse experience I have ever had in a doctor’s office… didn’t get seen until one hour past my appointment time… all the staff and doctors were rude… the doctor only spent about ten minutes with me…

I’ve been a baaaaad boy! I’ve been seeing you for about 14 years, yet I disappear for no reason and reappear if I need you. Of course, always as a last resort! Tsk, tsk!
OMGOSH! That long! Wow!
In 14 years… You’ve seen me married, divorced, single, engaged, single again… Carla! I’m getting OLD!
You’ve seen me happy, sad, smiling, frowning… w/​dimples, pimples & blems! Unfortunately, for me during those 14 years, I haven’t seen you enough! I mean you’re the best dermatologist in the world, right?
Yup, sucks I moved to San Francisco for about half of the 14 years. Probably some of that Frisco smog got embeded on my skin! Dang it, ’cause if I only took your advice of avoiding the sun, drinking lots of H2O, and seeing you on a more consistent basis… 14 years of heeding your advice and my skin would resemble a Shiseido model! Nope! I had to be a badass surfer boy and sun worship every day… /​le sigh. Eat one too many fish and chips and ignore one too many blemishes! /​double le sigh. The stereotypical careless dude! My bad!
Fortunately, for me I have skin genetics that allowed me to survive and take the abuse of skin neglect & sunshine! But still… I’m not young anymore, Dr. Carla! I’m getting OLD! I need you! I’m sooo sorry for not taking your advice 14 years ago! Yup, I had a blast during that 14 years, but I’ve had enough… I’m crawling back to you… There’s still hope, right?! Do you still want me? Fix me!
Ok, maybe I won’t be a sparkling Shiseido model — porcelain skin and zero flaws, but there’s still hope that I can regain that hop in my step and wink without the whole ceiling falling on my head, right? I’ll do anything to be half the young buck I once was when I first saw you. Remember that? I was pretty hunky back then… I don’t want to be a prune! Gosh… NOT A PRUNE!
Geez! Time can be so mean!
I’ll do whatever it takes…
Oh, and on a side note…
You’re the hottest Doctor EVAR! Definitely hotter than Dr. Phil! Smart and easy on the eyes! That’s the number one reason I started seeing you some 14 years ago! Well, so now you know… *blushes* Plus, you’re one dang AWESOME & passionate dermatologist! Gentle & knowledgeable from acne to psoriasis. Your wait list is longer than a Lady Gaga concert! Please give me one more chance, Carla! Fix me, please!

I have been going to see her for years now. It is a little bit hard to get an appointment if you are a new patient because she isn’t always accepting new patients. However, once you’re in your’e golden! The great thing about her is that she often tries a lot of the new creams /​lotions herself and then recommends what she finds to be helpful. She is VERY knowledgeable, but is able to break down the problem /​suggest solutions so that I can understand them. I went to her recently and described some allergy pill i was taking with some drowsy factors (and it wasn’t anything normal like allegra or claritan) and without even using a cue card she figured out what I was talking about! She is always very informed about the new medications available and takes time to re evaluate your progress and the meds you have each visit to see if they are still effective.
