This has been closed since May as their landlord raised the rent and they cannot afford to keep it open anymore. Too bad as Marianne was just canonized. A loss.

PLEASE learn about the history of Hawaii. There are tragic stories with real people and real heroes. Put yourself back in time to the late 1800’s and how would you react? Father Damien and Sister Marianne made supreme sacrifices to make life better for many scared people. Time has passed but you are not forgotten, THANK YOU both and hundreds of others who helped on Molokai!

After going to Molokai it was really awesome coming here and reading about these two saints that helped the people on the leper colony. even though the place is associated with the church there was no religious undertone especially since I’m not religious. There is a little video, I didn’t find it worth watching but reading all the little blurbs under each photo, totally worth it. Great place, probably a 30 minute deal, not bad right?
