I love Dairy Queen blizzards. They have different flavors to choose from and they always have a flavor of the month. As of this review, the flavor of the month is pumpkin.

I’m updating my review because the lady that works the day shift is amazing. I still love Oreo Bilzzards… probably too much.

I have a hard time finding good Piña Coladas and this is one of the few places where they make really good ones.

When I have a chili dog craving this is the place to go. They are open late and the older ladies recognize me & know what I want!

It’s commercialized ice cream. It is what it is kind of like Baskin Robbins without the vast selection. I do like the fact that they put your waffle cone in a cone holder that prevents spill all over your hands. I didn’t need to wash hands nor did they feel sticky. My girlfriend and I got the blizzard waffle cones which were okay. The Reese’s waffle cone has chunks which I thought was the best. I just wish it wasn’t too melted but I guess that’s what I get on a 88 degrees Fahrenheit day. Not too bad but we have definitely been to better places with better flavored than DQ, Baskin Robbins and Cold Stone combined. Sorry I’m not giving commercialized places 5 stars. I’m one to look for creativity and originality. However when I do rate I will keep in mind that some places are worth the 5 star ratings.

Came today after dinner to get an Orange Julius for dessert. The lady cashier took my Buy One, Get One coupon from the Orange Julius Rewards Program and then proceeded to tell me to cut my coupon more nicely next time. I’m sorry, but even I would never speak to a customer that way. There’s no place in the world where you would tell a customer ways to make your life easier. The service industry does not work like that. Jamba Juice might may have led to the downfall of Orange Julius, but it’s bad customer service that’s keeping them there. No tip and not going back to that lady cashier ever again.

This place is rated low because of the service. The cashier was very rude to us and we could hardly understand what she was saying.

Horrid service. They refuse to put sprinkles on ice cream cones!!! And when they put them in a cup, they charge you more for. sundae and put about five sprinkles on it. When I asked for more, the worker flatly said no. How can you call yourself an ice cream establishment when you don’t put sprinkles on ice cream cones?! Shameful.

I love the combo of Orange Julius and Dairy Queen! Friendly cashiers entertained the kids with their masterful blizzard-making skills. Great selection of hot dogs with all kinds of yummy toppings too.

Very friendly and courteous cashiers here! I will definitely be back. I ordered my all time favorite Banana Shake! Cute thar they put whipped cream and cherry on top too. It’s like a banana split sundae in a cup! So delish!!!

I always get a large heath bar Blizzard when I come here and hate myself after I’m done because of the sugar overload. I still haven’t learned my lesson even when I tell myself to get a small next time. The chili dog is something that i know I will never get again. Its was more like chili sauce instead of chili and the cheese for some reason didn’t make it any better either. The one, maybe two things I miss from this place is the dilly bars and buster bars they once were famous for. I miss the buster bars the most. Bring it back. I have no idea why they stopped selling these. The chocolate dipped cones and banana splits and sundaes fill the void but I think bringing these back will still be a hit.

Worst experience ever. I wish I could give 0 stars. The two older Asian ladies working got our order wrong, and when it was brought to their attention they argued with my husband that he had placed the order wrong and that it wasn’t their fault. By the time we got our blizzarda they were melted and I was mad as hell. I would not return to this location and would tell friends to go to another DQ location.

«Hot-dog,» my ass. Truth in advertising would require them to list this item as a «Luke-warm-dog.» What a waste: I only allow myself like 2 or 3 hot-dogs a year, and I used one of those up on New Year’s Day on this disappointment.

I’m so torn about writing this review, because I love the banana split blizzard and i love the mozzarella hot dogs, they always seem to put extra nizzarella… which i love! but what gets me is the service. The lady that helped me yesterday was not in a good mood, and i was trying me best to not let that get to me… but it did. First of all, i know the blizzard isn’t the cleanest item on the menu, but when she gave it to me it was just literally spilling all over the place, so i simply grabbed the napkin so that i could wipe it, and while she sees me trying to clean it up she shoves the hotdog into my hand. There wasn’t anyone behind me, so there was no need for the rushed/rude service. I mean it really was as if «I» personally ruined her day. Needless to say, I won’t be returning to this location. Thank God there’s a another Dairy Queen down the road at Ala Moana.

Like this ward warehouse location located in the ‘food court’. Love the ‘aunties’ who work here… they are always so sweet and helpful. Got a hankering for a quick snack, come see them. A blizzard(choose your favorite mix in… mines is snickers or the cookie jar) does the trick, so does a frothy orange julius and chili melt dog. They also have ice cream cones, waffle bowls, sundaes, smoothies, and various hot dogs. Good service and yummy treats. How can you go wrong?

For what it is it does it’s job. I would say this is the middle of the road. Not terrible but not great either. They serve heavy junk food that is diabetes inducing gluttony sugar and unadulterated fat which will always have a special place in any lover of pleasure. This just doesn’t hit that spot hard enough though. It leaves you with the food equivalent of feeling resentment and hurt that you wasted your caloric intake on something that wasn’t good enough for you. I will describe what I did consume the other night since it was at least somewhat different compared to there competitors. An iced chocolatey coffee drink that tasted great regardless of the borderline sweetness overkill. That’s coming from a sugar addict. The ice was too harsh. I felt like I was sucking up pebbles. It felt strange to just swallow them since they were largest enough to be uncomfortable. Too painfully crunchy to chew. It was a mess but I still drank it all. Despite the taste I won’t order any iced drinks from this location. The pepperoni cheese hot dog was just alright. It was my first time experiencing a hot dog that’s more dog than bun. The bun was rather nice and light. The dog reminiscent of the sponginess of Oscar Mayer bologna. I dislike that type of dog but it was juicy and covered with melted undistinguishable white cheese, pepperoni and loaded up with jalapenos. The latter I had to request. The woman wasn’t stingy which is always a plus. I do like some of their items that you can no longer find elsewhere. For that I would come back. I love the Ice cream covered in a hard chocolate shell. It’s as American as apple pie and guns. Except dairy rich.

DQ-OJWARD This Dairy Queen — Orange Julius is located at «Ward Warehouse, the heart of Honolulu.» I’m not sure if Ward Warehouse is still actually considered that… Gosh, I sure hope not. Anyway, DQ-OJ is in the pseudo-food court«The Food Express» opposite the one by Taj Clubhouse and Spaghetti Factory. HUNGRYFORHOTDOGS I like this location bc it’s convenient for shoppers and movie-goers alike. Just the other day, the bf and I were in the mood for a movie so we headed down to Ward. I grew hungry, as usual, while we wandered around Ward Entertainment Center and Ward Warehouse trying to occupy some time before our movie started. Oh, how I love movie hot dogs! But my 2012 Resolution Conscience of Saving Money told me to find hot dog(s) elsewhere — somewhere cheaper. I kill for hot dogs, especially ones with spicy or specialty toppings, so it’s a good thing the bf spotted(and suggested) DQ-OJ. THESMARTERCHOICE I ordered both the Pepperoni Cheese Dog and the Southwest Chili Dog with Cheese and Jalapeños, which totaled to about $ 7-something.(And yes, both hot dogs were for me.) $ 7-something for two specialty dogs with the load of delicious toppings = better than paying just under $ 10 for two movie hot dogs with ordinary mustard and relish as toppings. Clearly DQ-OJ is the smarter choice. MOLASSES The lady who took my order and made my dogs was as slow as molasses, but as sweet as sugar. It was so nice of her to ask me if I wanted jalapeños on both dogs.(Jalapeños only come with the chili cheese dog, but not the pizza one.) «Yes, jalapeños on both dogs would be great! Thank you.» PIZZADOG The Julius Pepperoni Dog reminded me so much of my childhood and how I was addicted to pizza dogs. Pizza dog for every field trip home lunch, pizza dog for dinner, pizza dog on the weekends… all because of OJ’s tasty Pepperoni Cheese Dog. Mmmmm… Thanks Mom and Dad. And the Pepperoni Cheese Dog that the sweet molasses lady made me was just as great. Maybe even better than before bc of the added jalapeños. CHILIDOG The Chili Cheese Dog was very good. I managed to finish it in 3 – 4 savage bites. I also manage to get chili all over my mouth and hands. Hot, I know.(The bf loves it.) VERDICT I am a fan. I hope to incorporate the DQ-OJ hot dogs as a part of my(Ward) movie-watching tradition. The specialty dogs are delicious, reasonably priced(comparatively), and a smart alternative to the overpriced movie dogs. And even though, speaking from my most recent experience, speed may not be one of the top priorities at this DQ-OJ, quality and service are. **Bring your Ward movie ticket stub for 10% off. Got a cheese dog and a Reese’s blizzard. The products were pretty tasty, good quality(except for the fact that halfway through my blizzard, all he Reese’s disappeared and left only plain vanilla soft serve behind) and since there was no line, it was also pretty fast. My problem was with the service. When my friend asked the worker which blizzard is better, in her opinion, between Oreo Cheesequake and Double Fudge Cookie Dough, the worker replied«don’t ask me, I don’t eat this.» Um, who do you suggest I ask then? Gonna stick to Ala Moana for my DQ needs from now on.
