History

Established in 2009.

I began Creative College Consulting after helping a number of Hawaii students navigate through the college search and application process. Sometimes finding the best few colleges to apply to can be daunting and overwhelming. It’s often useful to have professional assistance with such an important and exciting decision.

Meet the Business Owner

Kristen K.

Business Owner

Having grown up in NH, graduated from Vassar College in NY, and planned and gone on many college trips, I have an extensive background in the college search process. I have been an English and writing teacher, editor, and tutor on both coasts and in Hawaii, at grade levels from junior high through college. I have lived in Honolulu for sixteen years, teaching, tutoring, writing, and editing. My MA in English and Writing is from University of Hawaii. As a Vassar College alumna interviewer of local applicants for more than ten years, I understand aspects of the process from the college standpoint as well as the student’s.

Students I have worked with have been accepted at schools including Williams College, Columbia University, Dartmouth College, Brown University, Middlebury College, Hampshire College, Wesleyan University, St. Joseph’s College, University of Southern California, Scripps College, University of Hawaii, Connecticut College, Manhattanville College, Hamilton College.
