I was referred to him through another company specializing in split ACs, so I thought he’d be super friendly. Unfortunately, his tone implied it was an inconvenience just talking to me. I wanted an estimate on replacing two window units, letting him know I purchased similar ACs to what was there now. He immediately insinuated they were probably the wrong kind of ac. Then said he was busy and would call me back… Then never called… Owner gets one star for answering the phone.

Eric, owner was extremely informative and helpful. He answered on a Saturday evening and responded to my my questions. He assured me our problem would be taken care of first thing Monday. Workers came to take our AC to their shop. Normally his workers re-​install the AC, but due to our situation, Eric personally installed the AC back and explained to our tenants the problem and what he did to clean it. He also gave me a thorough explanation of what he did and what he found from cleaning our AC. I recommend Cool Zone to anyone. Thank you, Eric!

I took a chance based on a previous reviewer’s experience and called this business to see if they could install a window AC unit in my daughter’s bedroom. We had been waiting almost two months for another company contracted by Lowe’s to get their stuff together and install the AC unit and we got tired of waiting. I’m really glad I called Cool Zone because they sent someone out within a day or two and did a fantastic job. Chris and his assistant were very professional and courteous. They took their shoes off before coming inside and they cleaned up after they were done with the job. Chris is very meticulous with his work and he makes sure the job is done right. He was extremely helpful and knowledgable. We would totally use this company again.

#1 Company answered the phone on my first attempt. Other companies never called me back. I was able to get an estimate over phone after providing my details (measurements and # of units). #2 The installers were knowledgeable and kept me informed of what they have to do to complete the job. #3 Friendly. Happy customer of 4 newly installed wall ac units.

BEST SERVICE and WORKMANSHIP! My clients had purchased two AC unit from Eric at Cool Zone which needed a custom installation due to the buildings regulations. The install was meticulous but one of the units was not performing correctly and dripping water, Eric said they’ll fix the problem or replace the unit. After trying several remedies in which he always followed up the next day to see if everything was ok, Eric decided true to his word replaced the unit with another brand new one. I deal with many contractors and Eric and Cool Zone have my highest recommendation for their integrity, professionalism and quality of workmanship.

Although the installers came late due to a flat tire, they installed my window ac very quickly and did a nice job. They could have called me to let me know they were running late though. Other than that, great service.

I was a little hesitant at first to go through this company, since they have a 3.5 star average here on Unilocal.However, I soon realized HOW DIFFICULT IT IS TO FIND A LEGITIMATE COMPANY TO INSTALL A WINDOW A/​C. Yes, all caps for emphasis on how difficult it was. Yes, there are random «handymen» on craigslist that advertise being able to install window air conditioners, but the idea of letting some random guy off of Craigslist into my home is not all that appealing to me.
We had bought a window a/​c from Lowe’s, and all we needed was someone to install the darn thing. I believe Cool Zone sells air conditioner units; however, they were also happy to install the one that we had already bought from Lowe’s. I had originally wanted to go through another contractor that had installed another window a/​c in my home last month, but they were damn near impossible to get in touch with and kept blowing me off. I called other a/​c installation companies that I found from researching on Unilocal/​google, and they all said they don’t do window a/​c installations – only the «bigger» jobs like central a/​c and split a/​c.
Finally, I came across Coolzone and gave them a call. They answered on the first try (yay for not having to leave voicemails and play phone tag for once). I called on a Wednesday and was able to get an appointment for that Friday! Two days later! I was very impressed that we were able to get an appointment time so quickly. They didn’t need to come to do an estimate or measure anything. I just told them the style of the window (slides sideways – no jalousies or anything blocking it) and 6,000 BTU.
They said they would come become 10 AM and 2 PM, and they showed up right at 11 AM with all of the supplies they needed (including the big piece of plywood to close off the rest of the window). They installed the window a/​c in about an hour or so for $ 200. I wasn’t home at the time they did the install (another family member was home), but I was told the workers who came were very professional. I would definitely go through this company again if I had another A/​C to install.

Yeah, called this place to see if they could do the work that I was looking for. The guy that answered the phone (I’m assuming the owner) was very rude and had no sense of customer service. Did not seem the least bit interested in understanding the type of work that I wanted done, and told me he would call me back and never did. Take your business elsewhere fellas. Apparently, this company doesn’t want it.

If you’re looking for someone to install a room a/​c like the ones you can install through the window or through the wall, Cool Zone is the company to call. Eric the owner was very professional over the phone and very approachable in person. What won me over was that he was very thorough when I asked questions and was very up front with the prices.
When they showed up to install the a/​c they arrived on time and did a very clean job. The first a/​c that they opened from the box when they arrived was slightly damaged due to shipping (was not their fault) so they hook me up with a new one a few days later with no extra payment. Eric and his assistant, Ryan I think was very approachable and even recommended to mention the coupon from the phone book to get an extra couple dollars off the total price. I’m really loving the Friedrich chill model 8000 BTU! Thanks to Eric and his crew! Give these guys a call!

This guy, apparently the owner, was a jerk on the phone! I’m appalled, I simply asked for a quote, and asked if it was possible to just order and install the frame, at which point he started yelling and scolding me that if I have AC issues, I need to get a new unit! Really? You’re going to yell at me like a little kid, when I’m simply asking a civilized question? I give 1 star because he answered the phone. Tried calling several times the day before, the answering machine was full. I’m amazed that this company is still in business, absolutely no aloha.

Did not show! Was given a 3 hour window (11:00 — 2:00) and as I was returning to work after 2:00 Eric called to jovially say he would arrive in 45 to 60 minutes. Takes a special businessman to so flippantly disregard a customers time. Would NOT recommend this business as I believe my experience reflects the attitude of the business — no concern for the customer’s time!

I was having trouble finding a business that would install a window AC into my jalousies. Actually I was having trouble finding someone that would install window ACs in general. I’m glad I got a hold of Cool Zone.
I also needed a «dripless» AC for my apartment and the Friedrich 12,000 BTU model that I got from them does the job. I rarely see any water dripping from the unit!
I wasn’t home to witness the install, but when I came home it was nicely installed. They had to make some modifications by cutting some pieces of wood, so I was glad that I didn’t try to install this myself.
Overall great job and I’m loving the new air conditioner! Thanks Cool Zone and keep up the good work!

Fixed our aircon in Waikiki a few years ago. Can’t remember anything negative. Now they are affiliated with Friedrich the aircon maker.
