The staff was very rude and disrespectful. Trying to renew my sons passport and they refused to look up the verification for his birth certificate!!! When I asked them politely to see what they have in the system they started yelling at me!!! Why on gods green earth do people like that treat their customers like that???

i tried calling several times and no answer. I went there couple time back and forth and still didnt get my passport and i disnt wanna waste my gas since i live ewa! this is frustrating and irritating me! how hard can you pick up the phone!!! i wanted to put no stars to this!

No one answers the phone, so don’t bother calling it

I’ve been here a few times with family and every time it has been bad service. I’m not trying to say something otherwise, but when I try to get assistance and I ask them questions they aren’t able to answer, they give an attitude. I get the look like, «Why are you asking that?» If they can give clear constant directions, things wouldn’t be as bad.

The service here is really bad, grouchy employees and unorganized. I give one star because it was easy to find parking.

They have pretty bad service here. We had to wait a couple minutes to be acknowledged & helped. One lady was helping the lady in front of us, a few people were busy doing other things, and one man was busy at the front desk WATCHING TV! Smh.
And I think someone else’s review mentions that they open at 8? Well I guess they changed the time because now they open at 9am. I had to find that out by actually going there myself because neither their website or answering machine mentions their business hours.

My wife and I went to the consulate today to renew her passport and record our marriage. It didn’t take long, the staff were professional and friendly and the facilities are nice. Lots of parking, which is often a problem around Honolulu. Love the shaded porch. Contrast this with the dreadful Hawaii state and Honolulu County services (like getting a marriage or birth certificate) and you see how bureaucracy can be properly run.

My experience to get a Filipino document notarized (aka «Red Ribbon & Dry Seal»):
Hours: Weekdays from 9 – 4
Document pickup: Weekdays from 2 – 4
To enter the parking lot (
) you need to make a fast right turn, and it doesn’t help that the entrance is small and covered by bushes. I got there a little before 9 a.m. and only a few people were waiting.
The landscape is okay, I really like the colonial look (
). The public entrance is next to the parking lot (
). Restrooms are located on the side of the building and needs to be maintained — there’s no soap!
The cost to notarize a document is $ 25, which is reasonable, but you have to wait the following day to pick it up, and only from 2 – 4. That is very very very inconvenient. I could have paid an extra $ 10 to have it expedited and picked up the same day, but that would mean waiting for 5 hours since pickup is from 2 – 4. The people are really friendly and helpful, it’s just the procedures need to change.
I don’t know anywhere else that can do a Red Ribbon & Dry Seal in Hawaii, but if there is another one, please let me know.

I haven’t actually went to this place for the purpose of passport or other immigration services but my parents have and this place is pretty much the key to accessing and booking emergency flights to the Philippines and other Philippine/​international related business. This place also holds a lot of Filipino and Filipino American events in the main area where they have a stage, tables, chairs, seating, and everything. You can hold events here that you want to organize, you just have to let them know in advance to see if the space is available. I’ve done a new cast here during Filipino Fiesta season, performed here for Fil-​Am events, attended Filipino historical and celebration events, etc. It’s a pretty nice atmosphere.
