While looking for a place for breakfast, we accidentally bumped into this place. Was not disappointed. Staff was very kind. Service was prompt. And the food was priced write and had great taste. And most tables have a view of the ocean. Will certainly go back again.

Was very lucky that my friend brought me here the other day and we had the basic chips salsa and fish taco. I thought the overall theme of the restaurant was very casual, decorative and somewhat relaxing with its seating on the open sidewalk with two border views of the side street and view of Fort DeRussy beach park although we did not get to try the most popular dish just yet it was for sure one place for some decent qualities of food and affordable price. Was just glad the visit was eventful and had the great opportunity be surrounded by just right amount of customers/visitors and be able to have some amicable and cordial conversations. While some places are love at the first sight others are somewhat like long-term revolutionary battle, we get to see all walks of life and appreciate the serendipitous synchronicity. By the way, been seeing some of the decorative paper umbrella although not entirely sure about the significance but i thought they were very cute maybe will try them out one of these days.

Excellent food. Great service. Great atmosphere. Dined outside. Since we were tired from the day’s activities, we wanted somewhere close to the hotel for dinner. Had walked by earlier in the day. Very glad we decided to come back.

The food and drinks were so good! It was just what I was looking for! The mushroom bacon cheeseburger was no joke! Best I’ve had in years! The drinks were a bit strong but thats ok by me! I happened to be walking by this place and decided to give it a try. It was definetly worth it! I was full and buzzed all day!

While the décor and aesthetic are entertaining the food and drink leave much to be desired. My co-workers and I stopped in to watch the national championship. The drinks for multiple members had to be sent back. To quote my peer, «this is your worst drink I have ever had.» The burgers were bland and mediocre. Greasy, over cooked and the fries just seemed stale. This is a six party consensus. Erin our waitress was polite and ensured the drinks were replaced or compensated. The manager was professional. However, I would neither recommend this place or return.

This place was excellent. We visited the Cheeseburger Waikiki location for lunch on a Friday. There were 8 of us in total and the servers kindly accommodated our large party. Our waitress was extremely nice, helpful and patient! She even wrote a list of things to do for our friends who were staying in Waikiki a few more days. The restaurant has a good selection of beers and drinks! All of us realllly liked our burgers, I recommend the Cheeseburger Island Style. Definitely a place to try if you’re in the area!

Not sure why this place only has 3 stars! Really awesome beachy-yet-not-tacky vibe and décor. Prices are great for the location and food was good. Friendly service. Plus, they play awesome music. Great spot!

Cool little hot spot in Waikiki if you’re looking to grab something casual. They also have excellent mai tais! Strong ones at that. They have your typical bar food selections(I ordered the chicken nachos – they were massive and perfect to share and a friend had the turkey burger) as well as lighter fare type stuff. Love their little lounge area too with the tiki torches. Definitely a nice choice for a chill dinner and great for big groups of friends.

Breakfast cheeseburger sounded safe but not the best tasting meat patty. Ok service but the menu could be better.

Cheeseburgers in Paradise? That’s a cute restaurant name, I think. For those of us who love custom made Cheeseburgers, this place may be your comfort zone! Ive known this location for several years now but never had actually done here, particularly since Waikiki is usually for tourist folk and locals who live and work there. To my surprise, I was here with a friend of mine, along with her husband, and her six kids, after a morning aboard the USS Missouri battleship memorial and partial USS Arizona memorial tour on a recent December 21, 2015 morning. For a grand lunch that could only be classified as good and quite well behaved for a clan of 8, I was surprised how well they all cliqued while on vacation. The restaurant itself was not busy after 1pm, so we were seated right away and the service was good but slow. They call it Hawaiian time, but I had a day off, so all was good. The overall experience here was average, but the food was good. The atmosphere was pretty good, although the restaurant was open air. No air condition, which made it kind of humid and warm. The parking situation we found«public parking» next to the Wailana Coffee House, across the way to the Hilton Hawaiian Village, which turned out to be cheap at around $ 5 for a couple of hours. The Cheeseburger in Waikiki is located on the intersection of Kalakaua Avenue and Ala Moana Blvd. Can’t miss it for sure. They accept major credit cards, so that’s always a plus. The restaurant itself was pretty clean and definitely had that rustic vibe going on and my friend and her clan of 6 + husband had a good time having American Classic fare while in Honolulu. For me, I picked up a classic bacon cheeseburger thing, that probably came with onion rings. I don’t know the specifics, but it was totally good. It really hit the spot and it came with seasoned fries, almost like the ones you get at Jack in the Box, but not so thin and not so curly. The prices for a burger and fries can be interestingly higher than what you’d find at the typical fast food joint, but the quality is quite superior to that of McD and BK. Although paying for a $ 12 burger wasn’t high on the menu, the taste and the company made it well worth the sticker price of this experience. I probably should have had liquor with the meal. Probably would have made conversations a bit more interesting. If you like the classical American fare and don’t prefer the Chili’s concept, come here for a great alternative to great burgers in Waikiki. Recommended for y’all just chillin out from shopping along the Waikiki strip or a food stop during your vacation in Hawaii. Support local! B–

Had to give this place 3 stars, primarily and solely on the location alone(because I live next door to it) other than that.. The food is below average and over priced. The service is poor The only redeeming factor is they have a micro brewery, BUT it’s middle of the road at best. Definitely something leaves to be desired. So if you like less than par service, food and beer.. . And don’t mind paying for it. Pull up a chair !

I’m in Hawaii and eating at Cheeseburger? Well when you have a husband that doesn’t like to stray too far from his normal eating habits, you end up here. Service was good. Both the waitress and bartender were very friendly and attentive. After reading about others receiving slow service I was thankful we had quicker service. The restaurant is opened aired from the entrance all around the side windows. You get a nice breeze at the bar area. I first tried the Cheeseburger Island Style. A cheeseburger with Kalua pork, grilled pineapple and teriyaki hit the spot. It was a pretty big burger and really tasty. The quesadilla with Kalua pork was just ok. Great flavor from the pork but the cheese they used was very very greasy. I wouldn’t get that again. The Kalua Pork Sandwich was good. Plain at first so I ordered some BBQ sauce to put on it. I guess I’m just used to pork having BBQ flavor. With the onion straws and coleslaw on top, I really enjoyed it. The menu said they had sweet potato waffle fries. I tried to get them but I guess they are no longer offered. Their new thing is sweet potato tots. That really didn’t sound appealing so I settled for regular. Just ok for fries. I didn’t get a chance to try their breakfast for $ 7.99. But I will suggest if you don’t want to spend $ 30pp on the resort, then stop here.

Aw man. So good. So good. After a long day of dealing with shitty rental cars and stupid relationship problems I needed something satisfying. Something that would really hit the spot. I needed a burger. We passed this place on the way to breakfast twice and cheeseburgers have just been screaming my name since. I did not get the cheeseburger. I did however get the fish sandwich which is a burger. And it was delicious. And I ate all of it. And I would do it again if I could. I also ate onion rings and they were superb. And this pineapple coleslaw which was… Well the burger was really great. Live music and a very chill atmosphere. I like how the place is open so you can see the street. Very casual vibe. Three stars? These people must be damn picky or just jaded. This food is prime. Me likey.

Was staying across the street and popped into CBW because it was convenient… I am so glad we did! We sat at the bar and it happened to be Happy Hour– piña colada’s, Mai tai’s, etc $ 5 as well as a selection of appetizers. We ordered from the regular menu– me: salt pork dish with side of macaroni salad, hubby: moco loco. both dishes were outstanding and so filling! Roman the bartender is wonderful and makes a great drink! Piña coladas were delicious and perfect. I also loved watching him interact with a regular they call«Aunty». They really took care of her like she is family. It really touched my heart. Went home and took a nap and went back in later at 9pm– Roman was still there and as we sat back down at the bar, he said–«it’s happy hour!» Wow déjà vu! Lol! Sadly he was ending his shift and leaving so didn’t have a chance to have another of his perfectly blended piña coladas. We ordered from the HH menu this time– pork quesadilla and fish tacos. Both were delicious and generous portion size! We also had the coconut shrimp from the regular menu and those were killer. We had a different server who seemed distracted and the piña coladas she made were not as great… but still, it was good. So 4 stars for that, as well– here’s a tip: if you sit at the bar, don’t sit at the end because the bar trash is there and on a hot day you can smell it. We changed seats to the side bar and all was well. Love this place! Will visit next time I am in Honolulu and will recommend to friends who are there :)

It was alright but nothing impressive. The fish tacos were a good size but there was absolutely no need for the cheese that was added. I think that actually ruined the tacos for me. The chips that came with the entrée were stale. The fish and fries were pretty good. Fish tasted good. And the fries were perfectly crispy and seasoned. Fries were the best items we had.

No wait to get in and perfectly located next door to a brewery and our hotel. The gods have smiled upon us Open aired restaurant with a large selection of cheeseburgers. I ended up getting a cheeseburger with guac, bacon, mushroom and cheese. It was delicious, juicy, and perfectly cooked! I got it with sweet potato tater tot looking fries, which were bite sized and flavorful, also. My only suggestion would be to have some of the selection of beers from the brewery available there, as well. Service was great, and I’ll definitely return.

Right next door to the Doubletree, my colleagues and I ate here one night. The service was average, a little lacking in that they did not come back often and we had to keep flagging down for water, drinks, etc. The gal was super nice, but service wise just okay. The food was pretty good — we all ordered different burgers and shared fries and onion rings. The menu is unique with all the different burgers, so they have a lot to offer. The other downside was there is very little air circulation in the restaurant… while they do not have AC like many places here… they also had very few ceiling fans so it was HOT while we were trying to enjoy dinner. I also ordered a local draft and it arrived semi-cold… nothing worse than a beer that is not icey cold. I might return, I might not.

Waikiki Cheeseburger is a fine establishment! I’m not mad at it for any reason. Lemme break it down for you… HYPES: It was a Tiki bar type set up, ’twas a cool night with a cool breeze blowing gently through the facility. FREE parking! Limited, but FREE! We made it just in time to get the happy hour deal on beers, which after a long day of work is quite the luxury. Beers were refreshing. 5 star service! Our server, Blake, was SO kind, SO attentive, had a great attitude, personable… AMAZING. Blake, if you’re reading this right now, can we be friends? :) GRIPES: Food was so-so. It wasn’t terrible, it wasn’t amazing, it was just good. I tried the California Cheeseburger that had pineapples and avocados along with sweet potato wedge cut fries. I was hoping the sweet potato fries would be a little crispier. That’s something I can request next time. The burger itself wasn’t booming with flavor like I’d hoped. Like I said, it was good… just wasn’t amazing. The music in this place didn’t fit the ambiance either. I’m honestly not the type of person to notice too much when the music and restaurant theme dont go hand in hand – unless I’m really taken aback by it. By the end of our meal, I was really puzzled to be listening to straight up yee-haw country music. Which actually isn’t bad, but when you’re staring at tiki head décor and your restaurant looks like a beach side hut, you might want to blast some Hawaiian Raggae or something. Also, the rest of the employees were dragging their feet looking so bored and miserable! The night was still so very young, I wish they would all at least shed a little smile. Except Blake! Blake was perf! :) So I’m giving this place 3 stars because it’s A-Ok & yes, I liked my food but it didn’t blow me away. I’m not penciling it into my plans to return any time soon, but I definitely would return.

This place doesn’t deserve three stars. Family is visiting from Japan and this is where I took them for burgers? Ugh. It was a mistake! After waiting for a long time to get our order in, after we were seated.(We should’ve walked out then) The food took even longer 30-min. Anyone should not have to wait 45-min. for some burgers. When the food finally arrived to our table, we were all shocked! The food was cold, bacon on the burgers were crumbled into pieces and not whole. The sweet potato fries was really soggy and floating in oil. The chicken wings had a funy taste to it. Gross!
