With the heat this past summer and the expected El Niño effect coming this summer, air conditioning in our home was at the top of our list to do during the early months of 2016. As I reviewed available businesses that do split AC residential work, I came across CS Mechanical. After looking thru the reviews and pictures of their work, I found that I recognized Reid from years back. He was always working, building his business, and I was proud to see him successful with a team around him. I contacted him, said hello to an old acquaintance, and advised him of our family’s needs. Just like his reviews say, he is responsive and sensitive to his customer’s needs.
We were able to schedule a walk thru and shared his recommendations with me about what could be done. He was able to provide a quote within 48 hours which was right where he said the work would cost. No other competitive quote was needed from another company as I was confident CS Mechanical was the right partner for us. Once we were ready to move forward, we were able to coordinate installation in less than a week.
Travis and JR performed the work and were extremely efficient, personable, and trustworthy. I wasn’t able to be at home when the work was being done, but my family member that was there felt very comfortable while they worked and appreciated their professionalism. They even helped preparing a rebate form we were eligible for by installing a split AC system.

This past summer, we decided to purchase split-​air units for four bedrooms and the living room. I called five AC companies to get quotes and CS Mechanical came in the lowest. Not to mention, Reid was probably the most personable and quickest to respond. This past summer was a scorcher so pretty much every AC company I called was busy. Reid still treated me like an important customer unlike some other companies that acted like they were doing you a big favor by squeezing you into their schedule.
I told him I did some research on Fujitsu and Mitsubishi systems and although both are probably the best you can get, I preferred Mitsubishi. No problem. CS Mechanical specializes in Fujitsu but they also sell and install Mitsubishi too. You wouldn’t be able to tell based on these Unilocal reviews. The install was quick and smooth and we’re now enjoying our brand new Mitsubishi split-​air systems. I’d highly recommend these guys to anyone looking for a new system.

It was during the Summer of 2015 when it was HOT all over the island. The A/​C in my home office was just not doing the job anymore and so I found CS Mechanical. I called them up and was able to book an appointment with Reid right away. He was JAMMING because there were SO many requests to install A/​C but somehow he managed to fit me in his crazy schedule. He showed up and immediately was able to assess my needs and provide a reasonable quote for the solution. The only delay was in getting the products from the Mainland since everything was in such high demand. When the unit arrived Reid immediately brought his crew over and they did an outstanding job installing the unit.
One of the things I appreciate so much about Reid was that he realized that my office work was suffering with inadequate cooling and he prioritized my installation so that I could get back to work. Now I’m enjoying my fantastic new A/​C unit and I couldn’t be happier.
Reid is young, extremely knowledgable and energetic. He asked me how many other companies I had bid on the job and I told him none. There was something about him in our first meeting that I just knew I wanted Reid to do the job.

Price was great! Communication was great! The owners were great! The guys on the installation crew were great! Installation and placement of the units was great! All in all, a great experience! Oh yeah, having AC in my whole house is great!
Here is how my story went. I had already talked to a couple other AC companies. One was kind of pricey and they wanted me to wait three months to install. No way! The second one gave me a verbal price quote but didn’t return my calls when I had a question or wanted to set up an appointment. No way! I returned to Unilocal.I decided to call CS Mechanical.
I called CS Mechanical. I talked to Reid on a Monday. I explained my story to him. I told Reid that I wanted four split systems, was very motivated to get these installed, and was looking for a quick quote. Reid came over a couple of days later on a Wednesday, took some measurements, and agreed that the split units that I was looking for were the right size. After talking to Reid, I determined that Fujitsu were the AC units for me. Reid said that he would have a quote by Friday. I called him back as soon as I got the quote and said that I would like for him to install the four units. He texted me back saying that he will check his inventory and the AC supply’s inventory and get back to me. Reid got all of the units and had his crew install them on Tuesday and Wednesday. I’m not sure if Reid can install everyone’s AC as quickly as mine but it sure beats waiting three months like some other companies.
Do yourself a favor and call CS Mechanical if you want AC!

I had called four Air Conditioning companies of which C.S. Mechanical was one. Two of them called me back immediately but Reid Mukawa from C.S. Mechanical was the only one that met with me within three days of our phone conversation. He did a review of what I needed and recommended I install three ductless A/​C Units and gave me a very reasonable price. After receiving three AC units from the vendor, Reid scheduled me immediately and installed all three units in one day and had them up and running. He and his crew were very professional and worked vigorously to complete my installation. I highly recommend Reid and C.S. Mechanical to any one who is thinking of purchasing a ductless A/​C system.

He was one of a few businesses that returned my call let alone came over to give me an estimate. I found him to be very knowledgeable and professional in both his approach to me as well as in his job performance. His pricing was very competitive and service exceeded my expectations.

Called today and spoke with Reid to request assistance in reconnecting our split wall Fujitsu that was disconnected for a recent construction project. Informed they are not taking on this kind of work right now.

Why do you go to anywhere else? Reid from CS Mechanical is the best, quality, fast and honest in the process and its price. He returned our calls as soon as possible while other companies took at least a day or two. He took time and explained in detail the selections for installing the air conditioning unit for my sister’s house as much as possible so that we can make the informed decision together while other companies will just try to sell what they only have.
He gave us the option for Fujitsu and Mitsubishi, but we ended up going with the Fujitsu for our situation 24 000 btu Unit after listening to Reid and my due diligent, checking the specifics of the unit that he ultimately recommended compared with other various options from Mitsubishi units online myself from other companies like efficiency, noise, price of the units.
While other companies wanted us to wait for another month or more to install an unit (they were Mitsubishi only) that gave me no option to pick, he came out and install the one we picked in one week or so as soon as he can accommodate. Also, speaking of the price, it is super reasonable while other companies try to mark up, mark up, as much as to almost rip you off. Reid would not. His price is just reasonable and excellent. No one else in Hawaii seems to beat that. Quality of installation and its process is a top notch, clean and efficient.
Now I think about why I would want to wait for over a month to install an super expensive (marked up) AC while it’s super hot and breaking the bank by going with other companies. Makes no sense. Thank god that we didn’t.
Go with him and his company which is, yes, licensed; ask Reid questions to your satisfaction. You will not regret going with him and his company. You will only to be happy that you are associated with them like us!

I tried for weeks to reach the original installer of a Fujitsu AC, and was getting nowhere. He finally stopped by and said my circuit board was fried because of a gecko; said the warranty wouldn’t cover it, and wanted to charge me $ 500. Then he avoided my calls! Frustrated, I looked on Unilocal and found the great reviews for CS Mechanical. I talked to Reid who answered his phone promptly, and said he would come over to troubleshoot my AC’s. Reid checked, and found the coolant level was very low. A quick recharge, within the hour, cool air was running again! I admire his integrity, honesty, and knowledge. I would not trust going to anyone else but Reid from CS Mechanical!

I started having issue with my 3 year old Fujitsu split system. I called the company who installed my unit. $ 470 later, they came out to swap a controller card. 2 months later the same problem popped up again. I called the same company again but they wanted to charge me $ 90 just to take a look even though it was a follow up to the same issue. Instead of handing over more money to this company I started calling around. I got in touch with Reid at C S Mechanical. Reid was able to set an appointment within a few days unlike other companies which claimed to only have appts available weeks out.
My A/​C issues were nearly impossible to troubleshoot because there were no error codes and would only stop working under certain conditions. To make a long story short, Reid worked diligently with the local Fujitsu rep to see the problem through and resolve the issue.
I highly recommend Reid and C S Mechanical. I can see why they get so many good reviews. You find a more honest and hardworking guy in the business.

Reid and his crew did a top notch job on the install. We had two 36,000 btu split zone units with 6 heads (6 rooms) installed. 4 bedrooms, 2 larger units in living room and kitchen dining area. I was worried it wouldn’t totally cool the entire house because we have high ceilings and jealousy windows. I can honestly say these past couple of weeks have been totally miserable outside, but our house is totally chilling, (actually freezing). That’s with the units running on the low settings.
I’m in the construction field myself, so I have high expectations for people in the field, especially if their working on my personal house. Reid and his crew went above and beyond on their install. They finished faster then I expected. You will feel totally comfortable with Reid and his crew in your home within the first 5 mins of meeting them. I had no problem leaving them home alone to do their thing. They cleaned up well and took great care of our place.
If your in the market for AC. Call them for a quote. We should have done it a long time ago!!!

The crew at C S Mechanical, Inc installed our ac units at my workplace a few months back and was pleased with their work. Well, lately my split system at my residence has not been working like they used to. Two of our bedroom units would take quite a while before getting some decent cool temperatures so I was thinking to myself maybe it’s about time I get my units serviced. As I was looking up some «reputable» ac contractors on Unilocal,I happen to stumble upon C S Mechanical with some very positive reviews. Long story short, add another «5» star review for them. Reid and his crew are very professional and certainly meets the customers’ needs. Now I can have a very comfortable rest of the summer. Oh, btw, Reid also hooked me up ;)

My split AC started a clicking sound and the company I installed the AC with would charge me $ 100+ per hour to have a technician come out to check. I decided to call around.
Reid from CS Mechanical was the only one who called back. Reid is sincere and professional. He sent a guy to my place on the same day. Turn out my AC stop making funny sound before the guy arrived so I called to cancel the appointment.
Although I didn’t get to use their service this time, I give a five stars rating based on their prompt response and high quality care they provide to their customers.

We’ve all heard that line, it becomes more apparent when the time has come «to bite the bullet «and install a split zone AC unit. We decided to put in AC after dealing with the beginning of the summer heat. The question became– who should we go to? After checking Unilocal and also friends, I decided to get quotes from three AC companies, one of which was CS Mechanical.
After getting a quote from Company #1, I then talked to Reid at CS mechanical to set up an appointment. Reid recommended what would work best for our situation and went into detail as to how the installation would be done. He gave us an option to avoid drilling holes into the roof, something the other company didn’t offer. They try and avoid holes to the roof where possible– which sounded great to me. He spent quite a bit of time with us explaining the process and his quote was very competitive with the other company. His answers to our questions were direct and honest and we appreciated that he put some thought into his responses and even came back with an alternative to our concerns. We were so comfortable with his answers and presentation we decided to go with CS without getting another quote.
When the day finally came to install the units the crew worked quietly and as efficiently as possible and were very careful especially when they were inside the house. After two days, we were the proud owners of two Fujitsu AC units. Now, as many others have said:
«We love our Fujitsu» and more so, we are glad we chose Reid and the crew at CS Mechanical– it was a pleasure doing business with them.

We called several AC repair companies earlier in the morning today and the soonest they can stop by was in three weeks. I wasn’t surprised. After all, it is summer. My wife calls Reid and he was kind enough to get Ken out to our place around 2pm today! Ken is very knowledgeable and honest. Their communication is swift and provided us several options. I called many A/​C company’s with no success. The other companys all said they were busy or they would come out to check, but they never showed up. With C.S. mech the owner showed up the same day i called him. He was very knowledgeable in A/​C. Highly recommended.
