This Chris making bread is just amazing! They sell the bread at the KCC famers market so I went down to buy every weekend. Those breads were sold out very quickly.
Since they moved to Kakaako, I still go to buy the bread. Country and City bread are my favorite, however, NY Rye, Brioche and Semorina are also tasty!
Chirs’s bread is best in town, This is real tasty bread!

クリスが作るパンは本当においしく本物のパンです。ハワイでこんなにおいしいパンが食べれるとは思ってもみなく、ＫＣＣファーマーズで売っていた時は毎週買いに行っていました。
朝の７時半から８時半にはすでに完売でした。
カカアコのUHのメディカルセンターのカフェテリアに移ってからも時間が合えば必ず買いに行きます。カントリーとシティブレッドがお気に入りですが、セモリナ、ニューヨークライ、ブリオッシュも美味です。
朝の１０時半から１２時頃にちょうど焼きあがっています。

Tried the city loaf and it was absolutely exceptional. Prior to moving to Hawaii, I lived in New York and San Francisco and was accustomed to a steady supply of delicious, artisan bread. This reminded me of Tartine’s bread but was even better. Great stuff, just wish it was easier to procure.

Good lord — PHENOMENAL bread. Possibly some of the best I’ve ever had — I rarely want to eat plain bread like it’s a snack food, but I couldn’t keep my hands off this loaf. And it toasts well too. Highly, highly recommended.
As of a couple of weeks ago, Whole Ox was splitting sales of this bread with Taste (just round the corner from Whole Ox) — they alternate weeks. Don’t dawdle — we arrived around 12:15 today and got the last city loaf.

I have been trying to find some good bread in Honolulu, but until now, I’ve had no luck. I finally found the best bread on the Island at The Pig and The Lady stall at Blaisdell Farmer’s Mkt. made by Chris Sy of Breadshop. Chris was also there and I told him how happy I was to have found him and his delicious bread. His breads are as good as any in the Bay Area, Ca. The only problem is that he only had 2 or 3 different types of bread, but I’ll gladly take them verses no artisan breads at all. I will now head over to Blaisdell Farmer’s Mkt. on Wednesday evenings. I understand that they are also sold at Whole Ox on Fridays but I think they only have limited amount. Thanks Chris for your delicious breads!
