Driving Volvos since old enough to drive, the car line does not disappoint! It means a ton to find a local mechanic that is technically sound yet fair and customer oriented! Matt Hodges has been working on my 3 Volvos for almost 18 years — people are amazed that I’m driving 2 of the Volvos that are 26 YEARS OLD! What a credit to Matt & his superb Volvo team! He is totally reasonable on arranging service & will not nickel dime you to death! The bottom line is working with him has been great — he truly offers a special aloha spirit that speaks volumes about him. He is the consummate professional that truly enjoys his work — being a top notch mechanic!

If you are looking for a mechanic for your Volvo THIS is the place. It’s hard to find, but the best places always are. Matt is honest and decent. He knows cars inside and out. I received wonderful service at the counter and on my car in a timely fashion for a fair cost. No one is like that any more!!! He explained everything. He gave me a breakdown of what was most important and what could wait. He told me a prior repair at a different mechanic was still under warranty. It couldn’t have been easier or more pleasant. I wasn’t rushed. He didn’t treat me like I was stupid or like I was bothering him. My car was ready faster than I thought it would be. I live in Kaneohe and STILL come to Matt. He’s that good.

My wife and brought our cars in (a 2008 Toyota Yaris and 2010 Nissan Rogue) and I wanted to to acknowledge the excellent service we received at Autoworks. Our cars have never driven better. Matt Hodge really knows cars and was a thorough, conscientious professional who was also friendly and a pleasure to do business with. Our repairs were fairly priced and done quickly. Also, I want to thank Matt for alerting me to the fact that the Nissan Rogue was still under warranty and suggesting I have it checked at a dealership. I did so (after experiencing some scary transmission problems) and they ended up replacing the transmission at no cost. Mahalo!

Matt is about the best mechanic you could dream of. You rarely get a mechanic who is incredibly honest, devoted to making anything and everything work and thinks of his craft as much of an art as it is a business. He was a breath of fresh air after going to a number of stereotypical mechanics. I highly recommend him.
