Went shopping for an SUV over the last couple of weeks and although most of the places I went to were very helpful and tried to work with me, no deal really struck me as a sure thing. On a whim, I swung by Autosource to take a look and although it was slightly after hours on a Sunday, they still let me browse. Next day, I went back and the owner Rima himself sat me with me to try and work out an amicable deal, which we did after only about an hour.
Although initially skeptical of small indie operations like this, I was very impressed with the helpful staff and the total willingness to make the customer totally happy. This included adjusting the final price when a discrepancy was found to detailing the vehicle until I was satisfied (they also gave me a loaner as well).
They also seem selective when taking cars in on trade or for purchase (in a good way), which in itself delivers a better product to the consumer (my trade in was a pretty immaculate, super low mileage car). I am very happy with my new vehicle and I would go back to buy another one when the time comes around again for a refresh.

I just bought my car from Autosource. I had been watching an ad of Theirs on CL and noticed they dropped the price a little, but not enough. So I went in to see the car anyway and Rima made the numbers work for me. More importantly, after the sale, there were a couple items that needed attention. (Safety Check and 2^nd key) Rima took care of it quickly with no charge to me. I have found this dealership and all the staff to be helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. They have done what they said they would do, and the car has been epic! I would recommend them and certainly buy from them again.

I recently bought a late model Tahoe from Rima at Autosource and must say that the experience was definitely a positive one. My wife and I went in to look at a car we’d seen advertised on Craigslist. Rima showed us the car and let us inspect it for as long as we wanted, with zero pressure. We test drove the car and seemed to run fine. We bought an extended warranty, and even called a Chevrolet dealership to see if they would honor the warranty we bought and they said they would and had worked with that company before. We are confident that for the next three years or 30,000 miles we’ll be covered.
Something to consider: when you buy a used car, you buy it «AS IS». That being said, Rima was still willing to have a door handle repaired for us, and even rented a car for us to use while the repairs were being done. As far as extended warranties are concerned, all the parts that are covered are listed in the contract. It’s basically bumper to bumper with a few exclusions. If a repair you wanted to have done was denied, it’s because it was for a part that wasn’t covered. I’ve got no problems with that.
Once the decision to buy the car was made, it took us less than an hour to complete the deal and drive our new car home. It does help to have some money in hand and a good credit score. We’re ecstatic about our new car. Thank you Rima.

the extent of the beating still UNknown BUT never let them sell a car for you! its was a total MESS and a $ 100k+ Bentley so its meaningful beating money wise… Ill post a add on when its resolved etc and for any others that got burnt feel free to contact me for details and possible action to clawback this rip off place

This is the best place to buy a used vehicle
They treat you like family from start to finish
It not like car lot where you can spend up to 3 to 5 hours going back and forth
I have brought 2 vehicle from them each time it took about 1 and a half hours from start to finish and you take the vehicle home the same day
I know the rating is 5 stars but I would to give 10 stars for the owner and staff what a great experience buying a vehicle

I’ve been to many used car dealers and this isn’t like any of the ones I’ve been to. Customer service was excellent and each employee would acknowledge you. From the time I walked into the door I felt like I was part of their family. They were honest, straight forward and answered any questions I had. They stated they’d resolve an issue with the vehicle I had purchased and they kept their word. As many times we had to trouble shoot it, they were persistent until the issue was resolved. In my visits I felt like I was always the first and only customer they had, yet obviously there were many customers walking around. Each staff member addressed me by my first name and made sure I was being taken care of. They were also experts at what their jobs were and were able to explain any questions I had. I can’t wait to return to purchase my next vehicle from them when the next time comes. Hopefully it will be that Ferrari :). Thank you Rima and your World Class Staff!

My husband and I just purchased a used Cadillac from Autosource and are not only thrilled with the car, but with the service we received. Rima and Dean were awesome. They walked us through everything, even though we knew what vehicle we wanted and had come in more than prepared. They are the only dealer on Island that have let me take a test drive by myself without a salesman in the car with me. We purchased the vehicle before they’d had a chance to detail it and scheduled a time to detail it. Between taking it home and the detailing, we noticed some minor problems. The cigarette lighter and other charging slots did not work, there was a minor scratch in the windshield, and the dash was cracked. They gladly fixed these things for us with no charge and even gave us a rental (their bill not ours) while they worked on our car.
I can walk into the store and they remember me. I’m the type that will make a HUGE stink if something isn’t right, but I haven’t had to make a stink. Also, when they get you a rental, they give you a vehicle that is comparable to the one you are leaving with them. I’ve used their «loaner» service twice now. The first time I got a new Lincoln MKS (not my personal favorite, but a nice car), and most recently a Kia Sorrento (thrilled cause I prefer the space over the MKS since I have 3 children, one of which is in a car seat). I will try to update this when I get my Caddy back after getting the check engine light checked out (not at all AutoSource’s fault… it’s a car after all).
I do recommend making sure they’ve done a full check on the vehicle before you buy it, however they are VERY good at making sure they help their customers.

Rima is thee best! Walked out purchasing not 1 car but 2! Very flexible when it came to our budget and worked hard to get me the best interest rates. He was very attentive and truly listened. Definitely will be back! Thank you Rima for keeping us smiling! We Love Autosource!

Adding a Toyota Tacoma and another Mercedes to the list of cars I’ve bought from
AutoSource. The Mercedes had a water pump leakage 2 weeks after purchase. Took it to AutoSource and they had it fixed the next day. No charge. Mercedes would’ve took me for $$$$.
I feel bad for those who have had bad experiences at AutoSource. But there are other dealerships they can go to. I don’t think I’ve been lucky with the cars I’ve bought but if you have the money just go to Mercedes, BMW, Audi or Land Rover and buy a brand new car.

About 15 days after selling my car to auto source it received a parking ticket that was never paid. Because the paperwork was turned in so late, the car was still in my name. I knew nothing about this until I received a final notice before collection 4 months later at my house… in Oklahoma. After contacting auto source they took care of it, but doesn’t fix the fact that I have to explain this during background checks because it’s in MY name. I regret working with this business because so far this has proved to be «the thing that wouldn’t leave me alone.» I hope this is the last contact I have with this place.

I moved to Hawaii with a single turbo Toyota Supra with a stiff clutch and no AC. It wasnt a practical vehicle here. I found the Autosource website through Craigslist, and it is a nice and well updated site, with prices. Much better than other dealers here.
When I arrived, the showroom is nice and they were not high pressure. They related to me as car enthusiasts rather than salesmen. I worked with Han, and I was offered a very fair trade-​in on my Supra (a car that has a true market value rather than a «blueblook» value). They’re the only dealership that I talked to that even entertained it, other dealers were insulting with their offers.
The price on the Wrangler Unlimited I bought was also better than anything I found around, including the major dealers., The one at Autosource was nicer, newer, and had lower miles.
They were great about doing test drives and making the deal happen. It was one of the fastest dealership purchases I’ve ever made — and that is a huge plus in my book. It took a little while to get the title mailed to me, but that’s not a big deal, as the paperwork was already done.
They also took care of a recall for me by putting me in a loaner for the day so I didn’t have to take off work. I would go to them again.

Well, this rating isn’t due to a buying experience — never got that far. It is due to a customer service experience, or a lack thereof. I’m a busy person and don’t have the time to sit in a dealership all day while a salesperson tries to hard sell me a car, so I tend to do a lot of research online and email the dealer with questions about a car I might be interested in. Most dealers are VERY responsive, hoping to get you to come in and make a deal. Several years ago, I saw a car from Autosource that I was very interested in — a very upscale car — so to save myself (and presumably the dealer) time, I emailed them with a few simple questions about the car… no response… so I emailed again… no response… and again and again, and again no response. At the same time, I decided to email another dealer about a similar car and they responded right away. Eventually, I bought a vehicle at anther dealer and had a very bad taste in my mouth about Autosource’s customer service. Jump to a more recent time, just a couple of months ago, and I was looking for a new car. I noticed that Autosource had now split and opened a new dealership/​concept named «Carousel» with the website espousing their emphasis on customer service, with a cool new leasing program in which the customer wouldn’t have to worry about a thing! They would essentially be smothering you with their proactive customer service and taking care of your every need! So I thought, maybe things have changed and they have their act together now, and hey! Everyone deserves a second chance, right? So, I found a car — a very nice car — that I was interested in, and I emailed to ask a few very simple questions… NADA! I emailed again, thinking, «Well maybe they were busy and missed my initial email,» — again, not even a courtesy of an acknowledgement. I tried a third time, with visions of my previous experience dancing through my head — and still nothing! (And I’m not being unreasonable here — I’m allowing several days to pass between each email, but still nothing.) Accordingly, I saw a similar vehicle I liked at Porsche of Hawaii, emailed them with the same questions, and they responded within a couple of hours! Consequently, I’m now the owner of a nice, pre-​owned Porsche from Porsche of Hawaii, and I WILL never bother with Autosource or their offspring again. My feeling is, if I can’t get them to answer 3 simple questions before the sale when they should be motivated, what sort of help can I expect from them after the sale, when they have my money? No thanks. I’ll take my business to a more professional outfit.

We accidentally walked in to Auto Source looking for another auto dealer, and it was the best mistake we ever made. Rima instantly greeted us and made us feel welcomed. Although we may not have looked like the typical customers that shop for luxury cars, (being a young local couple), we had cash and was ready to buy; although this was not discussed! Rima and the staff treated us like every other person that walked in there, with the utmost respect and superb customer service, it was this service that stood out among the rest. Rima was not pushy at all, we reluctantly left Auto Source only to seek the original car dealer we had first intended to find, keeping our options open, we happily returned to Auto Source later that day and purchased the vehicle I truly wanted. The quality and care of their vehicles are second to none! I cannot say enough about how extremely happy we are, not just with the whole experience, but most importantly with our beautiful new car. Everything about this place is just, AWESOME! I went to other dealerships to look for my first car but nobody really helped me until I decided to go to Auto Source. I found my dream car on craigslist which was from auto source so I decided to check it out my self. As I got in, everyone was so friendly! Then, Dean came to help me check out the 2012 scion xb that I wanted. He gave me all the details & information I needed. we then talked about buying it.
Dean was great, he told my bf & I like it is, he helped us so much even with the financial things. Everything just turned out really well! He helped me save a lot of money just by helping us with this car. We also left with the car! Dean is definitely the best guy to go to and I definitely recommend everyone who’s trying to get a car, to go see him and check out auto source! I will surely go there again if I ever need to look for another car (:

Don’t waste your time period. Will walk out disappointed. They wont help you out. Was literally rushed out just only 20 minute. Unless you have a big wad a cash otherwise you will get the boot

Very nice people but the bmw I bought had constant issues. Took it to bmw hawaii and they found some problems that looked like quick fixes.

Defiantly do not buy a used car here!!! I recently bought a car here and the price was complete insane. I didn’t know what it was but they pressure and confused you on all levels. They make you feel like you’re being taken care of, but that is not the case at this dealership. Car had many problems to being with and also the price is sky rocket high. Kbb said it was value at 7800 and the car was sold to me at 11 500. totally have remorse of buying a used car. Just warning you look, at other dealership beside this place. Oh btw they will say that their the biggest dealership on the island, this might be true but what is also true are that the cars here are low quality and complete overprice.

I bought a car from them a year ago thinking they are a quality shop by the cars they sell. Well long story short the car broke on the H2 in three months. And still havent got the on the road yet. I even bought the extended warranty, what a joke. Seems even fake. But my money isnt. So lemon shop or what? Looks can be deceiving.
Extended warranties, is a roll of the dice. DENied. It doesnt work. It just give you comforting feeling till they leave hanging. This my fair warning all. Dont do it. There cars may be good for a test drive. Thats it.

If you buy a car here you are crazy. I purchased an older car from Rima and he either knows nothing about these cars or is lying straight to my face. His «service people» are again either totally incompetent or actively and intentionally dishonest. Bought the car, didn’t make it home. Turns out that the vehicle is a former race car, roll cage mounts under the carpet etc… not disclosed. Engine mounts were cut out and rewelded, etc. Bought the car, had them drop it to me and it didn’t even make it home. Rima’s answer to me was he would give me back half my down because it was as is where is on an older car. Engine blown, differential needs rebuild, trans is totally wrong for the car, they notched the frame to make it fit, which is illegal!!! turns out body mounts were installed incorrectly and now the body is crooked. Even if Rima does not know about these old cars he totally misrepresented the car and his knowledge about it and his mechanic has to either be too stupid to know anything or is just as crooked as he is. If you ask any mechanic or tool vendor they will laugh at you for buying a car at autosource. I spend 20k and will be another 20k getting the car to the quality that he claimed it was when he sold it. If there are people saying good things about buying cars here they are probably his friends and family trying to save his rep. You can purchase a car here but I suggest you don’t take my word for it, ask your mechanic, ask your friends, ask the guy you are going to take it too after it breaks. You will here it from them too. Totally criminal surprised they are still in business.
