Established in 2004.

AED Institute has been the leader of American Heart Association certification training and AED sales in Hawaii for more than 11 years. In 2006 we established the first and largest AED Program in Hawaii, the Dept of Transportation Airport AED Program. This successful program has saved more lives than any other AED Program, leading the way for improving laws and implementing more life saving programs. Today we have implemented over 1,000 AED Programs in the islands and are responsible for training over 30,000 people annually in CPR and how to use AEDs.

Meet the Business Owner

Pamela F.

Business Owner

Pamela is a registered nurse who has worked in medicine for 30 years, specializing in emergency medicine with an emphasis on the triage and immediate care of the pediatric patient.

Pam has taken this knowledge and expertise to the public level with a desire to make a difference at the community level. Her hope to educate the community and promote early bystander CPR and the use of automated external defibrillators, or AEDs, in the public setting was the foundation of AED Institute of America.

In 2010, with community cardiac arrest survival rates in Hawaii still at an all time low, Pam turned her attention to teaching CPR to a new group of students; 5th graders. Through Hawaii HEART, a 501 (c)3 local non-profit organization, Pam teaches CPR to thousands of elementary school students, she knows «The children are our future and they will turn the survival rates upside down.»
