The American Airlines Admirals club is clean and spacious. The staff are super friendly. Currently, they have some minor construction work taking place. Restrooms are located on the outside and are also very well maintained. Reciprocal club share with Alaska Boardroom at HNL since Alaska does not have a lounge in Honolulu.

This lounge is together with Japan airline. It’s a small lounge that offers a lot. They have the basic drinks and food, that I am fine with. What’s special about this lounge is the kids around, my daughter loves it.

At one point in time, the Admirals Club welcomed Military. Today they«refer» you directly to the USO, as if we didn’t know about that. I had been here a few times, it was always good, but it seems most airline lounges no longer welcome military. Pretty disappointing customer service.

Just a heads up for Active Duty Military on orders, you will not be allowed access to this club. Their policy is to direct you to the USO. Three stars because the desk agent was nice about it.

Try finding this place. AA website is useless. It says it’s shared with Qantas and is at gate 26. Nope. That has moved to ground level near AA flights apparently due to construction. Signs indicating this? The one we finally found was the size of an iPad. Not even remotely useful. ANDITSNOTEVENOPEN. NOONEANSWEREDTHEPHONEOROPENEDTHEDOOR. Great way to ruin my vacation.

Small but nice. The snack/food selection is quite limited but they do have beer, alcohol, wine, etc. All self serve which I’ve never seen before! They cater strongly to the Asian population which is great really. Lots of green tea and ramen type soup which I enjoyed. I like the feel and it seems more intimate, cleaner and neater than most other admirals clubs I’ve been to. Much less hustle and bustle, too.

Exceptional Service! Our review is based primarily on the incredible customer service we received from Karen. When we checked in, Karen was filled with the«aloha spirit.» She was very friendly. Our seats were not next to one another but she told us she would see if she could get our seats around. An hour before our flight she was able to switch our seats. She worked on this for four hours! She even called the check in at the gate to make sure our seats were confirmed. She made it experience from the time we checked in at the Admirals Club up until we left an very stress free and enjoyable experience. As for the club itself. The facility is clean and has very basic amenities like TV, newspapers, magazines, sodas, coffee, juice and alcoholic beverages. WiFi is free and speed is pretty good. Location is great. Located above Kona Brewery. Bring a jacket because it’s really cold.

This is a good lounge for starting a long flight. They usually have a light snack available and a open bar. Lots of magazines to grab on the way. It is right above a Japanese garden. Please go check it out. I would make it 5 stars if they had a to-go cup for coffee. Otherwise, the front staff is great and very helpful.

As a loyal Admirals Club member for the last 6 years, I’ve had lots of opportunity to visit and enjoy numerous Admirals Club lounges across the country. Although you are always greeted with a friendly smile and prompt service at the Honolulu location, it doesn’t come close to any other Admiral’s lounge I’ve visited based on size, comfort and especially food and beverage items offered. I found it rather embarrasing that guests are limited to instant ramen noodles, bland potato soup, dry pastries and soggy bread rolls. CVS type wines are also offered. Perhaps this location could consider what’s offered at most of the other Admiral lounges(these are free food items): fresh vegetables, greek olives, variety of cheeses, fruits, yogurt covered pretzels etc. The Honolulu Admirals Lounge is also quite small in size with a dated interior. Lounge chairs fill up fast with«desk» seating left. Prior to being an Admirals Club member, I belonged to the United Club and traveled frequently in and out of Honolulu. There is a world of a difference when comparing the experience and value United’s Club lounge offers its member verses the Admirals Club at the Honolulu International Airport.

Quiet, clean, air conditioned and just what you need to relax pre-flight. The amenities in this lounge aren’t the greatest but, given the options, I feel the Admirals Club/Sakura lounge is the best. Beer, wine and some liquor(Bailey’s, Dewars, Vodka) as well as standard coffee/tea. Food options are light. The only real food I saw was, instant ramen, two soups and some pastries. You won’t get full unless you stuff yourself with crackers and such. The lounge is very quiet and staff was friendly.

After suffering with Delta’s small lounge on my previous few trips, I found this AA /JAL lounge a very pleasant surprise!(I recently switched all my travel to AA after Delta’s recent 2 years of negative changes). The staff here is exceedingly friendly, and helpful. In fact, they e-mailed me two days before my departure reminding me where the club is and how to get there. When I checked in, they remembered me by name from my e-mail interaction and welcomed me. Food here is small bites: Soups, snacks, enough to keep you happy. If you need a larger meal before your flight then hit the Kona Brewing restaurant just downstairs before your flight. Amenities include: Dining area with tables, sofas, a quiet room, massage chairs, and a lot of desks overlooking the serene gardens outside. It’s a nice layout. It’s also fully air-conditioned.(Note: It was a bit chilly for me, but I was sitting right under the vent.) I’m told they have showers, but I didn’t utilize them. Lastly, they have a Japanese style toilet, with heated seats and an automated bum-cleaning system. Quite refreshing.(I’ll assume this was JALs contribution to the club) Overall: Super friendly staff, better than average(for domestic AA clubs) on the food side, comfortable and spacious lounge with a great location.

Best Admirals Club in the States that I’ve been to so far. It’s probably nice because it is co-operated by Japan Airlines’ Sakura Lounge which never disappoints. The lady at check in(I’m sorry I don’t remember your name!!) was so helpful, she could rattle off times it takes to get to any gate in the airport from the lounge. She also asked where I was going, and knew right off the top of her head that it was delayed and asked if I needed assistance. Awesome person. Inside, there are beers in a cooler that you can take freely, and there are also liquors and wines that you can pour by yourself and not have to go through a bartender, which is great. They also have some typical rolls/pastries as well as a few soups. Soups when I was there was Chicken Noodle and Minestrone. Food is lacking for a Sakura Lounge, but for an Admirals Club it is way beyond anything on the mainland. The lounge does seem more business-like since it didn’t have any Hawaiian flavor to it, but that’s fine, as long as I get someplace quiet with Wifi and an outlet I’m good to go. I was flying United and have lounge access there too, but came here anyway since this is the superior lounge. Don’t follow the«airline lounges» signs in the terminal as it will take you to other carriers. Just head towards the Kona Brewery, it is located on top of it.

Domestically, there is no nicer staff at an American Airlines Lounge than at this one! Tempy is always there to greet you with a ton of aloha and will answer any and all questions. They ask your flight numbers, give estimated walking times to gates, check on connections… true customer service at it’s best! Free wifi, free liquor, snacks, hot soups and a relaxing atmosphere. With exception of the Flagship Lounge in LAX, this place is the best.

One of the better Admiral’s Club in the U.S. It is co-located with Japan Airlines Sakura Lounge and can be found above the Kona Brewing Company on the third floor. Pros: — Medium sized lounge area with varied seating. Tables in the dining area. Comfy lounge chairs in the common area, plus desks with plugs along the outside wall overlooking the gardens. — Complimentary small bites: instant noodles, soup, pastries, cookies and other dry snacks. More than the average Admiral’s Club. — Complimentary beer, wine, shochu, hard liquor, coffee, tea and soda. — Children’s play area. — Massage chairs! — A/C(parts of the airport terminal are outdoors so this is a welcomed relief.) — Free Wi-Fi Cons: — No shower facilities. — No bathrooms located inside the lounge(head outside to the public bathrooms.) — No outside food allowed. There is no menu to order more food. Why limit a hungry traveler if the lounge doesn’t even sell food? The instant noodles really appealed to me. I wasn’t hungry upon entering the lounge, but was very tempted to eat the noodles just because it was provided. I also liked the shochu offering. It seemed to be a special, highlighted item, given that it had its own display area. Both instant noodles and shochu seem to come from being co-located with JAL. Also, I noticed how quiet it was in the lounge. There were people in the lounge near me, but they all spoke in hushed, low voices, even when on the phone. I thought this was courteous towards other travelers. 4 stars.

Very nice but bring a sweater! This club is shared by several airlines The décor is sort of nondescript, especially for Hawaii, but the staff is very nice and extremely helpful. I was really impressed! There was soup and drinks and some sushi and rolls — all self service — and again I was surprised that it was not Hawaii inspired. The wi-fi was not super strong and the bathroom is outside the club — two definite negatives.

Admirals Club is one of two choices you can get with a priority pass and this is the one to go. While most of the lounges are located in the basement of the airport, Admirals Club in on the 3rd floor sharing with JAL. Lighting is bright and the couches are comfy. Food include various Japanese pastries, hot soup, crackers and matcha green tea. Sode and Beer are available as well. The space is large and plenty for everyone. Definitely one of the better lounges I’ve been to and a great place to hangout at the HNL.

The Admirals Club at Honolulu International Airport is shared with Japan Airlines Sakura Lounge and is located in central lobby of the overseas terminal, across from central security checkpoint and Ralph Lauren retail store, on 3rd floor above Kona Brewing restaurant. There is good selection of complementary self-serve soft drinks, beer, wine & spirits. Snacks include soup, cookies, pretzel mix, and pastries. There is also a children’s play area. There is a nice garden view and lots of English and Japanese newspapers & magazines. What sets this lounge far ahead of the pack is the outstanding customer service from the front desk staff. Without asking, they check your ticket and see if they can improve your seat selection. Fantastic! See my pictures!

This is definitely a nicer Admirals Club. They have hot soup and some other real snacks and nice soft drinks selections. No open bar but its good enough for early flights to have some food prior to departure. Free wifi here too. The only problem is there is no shower at this club which I wish they can install one or two in the near future.

First off i would have given this one a 5 star but the lack of a shower is why it is a 4. I do like the self serve for the drinks. I found the staff to be far and above the average that one would usually find in the AC. Diane was great, and i never had to go to the desk she came to the members in the club to make sure that everything was good. I changed flights a few times and it was great service with a big smile.
