This place has been on my radar for sometime now and we finally decided to try it for a Thursday night dinner. It’s fairly small so I think reservations are needed although you could eat at the bar too. I had a coconut pineapple martini that was very good and it seems to be a popular choice, reminds me of sitting on the beach. The service was good and our special request was processed properly which is sometimes hard to find. We had several appetizers then the Bronzino, the filet and the grouper which were deliciously seasoned as we ask for the sauce on the side. All in all it was decent experience, the only issue I had was that their wine list is limited and very overpriced. I would recommend but be ready to drop some cash $$.

All I can say is Coca-Cola ribs! This quaint little restaurant produces some big flavors from their kitchen! Staff was very professional and went above & beyond their roles to make sure my event was a huge success! Will be back!

Forget what Public Enemy said… if you’re a BBQ fan you have to believe the hype. The Coca Cola Ribs everyone talked and posted about are that good! I’d heard about the famous aforementioned beef ribs and knew I had to try them. I finally had the chance tonight, and will say it was worth the wait. Lola’s is dimly lit, perfect for a dinner date(or solo dinner to treat yourself after a particularly good work week!) as well as a more casual and Dog-Friendly outside tables. Service was real pleasant, attentive and prompt. My iced tea refills were timely, without me asking. The soundtrack was soft rock(Clapton and the like). I started with the warm brie appetizer, a warm, creamy cheese wheel with crackers, nuts, honey and a raspberry jam. They even offered to bring up extra crackers when I finished the first batch, though I passed because I still had the complementary bread with the lightly whipped butter. These two apps were a great lead-in to the all star dish. The ribs are three tender, meaty bone-in Jackman Ranch ribs that take up the entire plate; said ribs are meaty lathered in a sweet BBQ sauce that despite the class of the space had me «mmm, mmm, mmm» at the taste. The ribs are garnished with thin cut onion rings and a side of savory creamed corn that plays nicely with the sweet. If you’re a fan of southern cuisine, you need to eat these! Of course I saved space for dessert: a rich, tart key lime pie garnished and sweetened with raspberries and syrup. The rest of their dessert menu looked great as well. All in all a delicious dinner, and another place«worth the drive». I know a special someone I’ll be taking there next trip!

Start a discussion with any Broward county foodie regarding the best dishes in Broward, and I guarantee the Coca Cola Ribs at Lola’s will come up… hence why I’ve been wanting to come here foreverrrr. SOMEPROTIPS — **Definitely make a reservation, this place is small and there aren’t very many tables. We dined at 7:30pm on a Saturday night and the place was 100% full the entire time! **Corkage — $ 15 if you bring your own wine. I typically don’t take advantage of this, but since my brother wanted to bring along his custom blend, that’s been waiting for 11 months to be opened, we went the corkage route and brought 2 bottles. My step father laughed when he saw the bill and said«wow that’s cheaper than our usual dinners»… corkage… that’s why! **Parking — If you can’t find free street parking, there is a garage for $ 1/hr one block away. Ok, on to the review. Like I mentioned Lola’s is small, but we were given a corner«booth» and it was perfect. Our server was awesome and stopped by at all the right times and made the evening run pretty smoothly. She seemed genuinely interested in our wines(that we brought) and made the evening that much more fun. We started off with some bread while we looked over the menu. I’m not one to comment much on the free bread but this was exceptionally good bread! Although there were four of us, and we typically share and try each others, this particular night we weren’t much into sharing lol, so I can really only review my own options. I started with the Piquillo Peppers Stuffed with Goat Cheese. This was a special so no promises they’ll have it again, but I loved it. If you’re a goat cheese fan, get this! My mom tried the baked brie, my step father the french onion soup and my brother the shrimp and grits. No complaints from them, but again, I didn’t try. For an entrée I went with something completely unlike me — the Portabello Mushrooms. Not one to usually turn down meat, I figured I’d try something different for a change. I was a little surprised when the plate came out, the portions were about right(as opposed to huge), but the taste won be over and that sauce with the mushrooms was REALLY good. My brother and step father both got the famous ribs so I did steal a bite. The meat was definitely perfection and I loved the sauce. By the end of the meal my brother did feel the sauce might have gotten too sweet for him, but my step father disagreed and thought it was all great. This plate is so small matter, so come hungry and expect to get messy! For dessert we shared the Key lime Cheesecake and the Bread Pudding. Not a huge fan of key lime flavors, so the cheesecake wasn’t my favorite, but the bread pudding was delicious and I had to fight the family off! If you’re looking for a solid spot for a special occasion dinner in Broward, definitely put Lola’s on the list! Great food, great service, and upscale atmosphere makes this place a winner!

I’ve eaten at Lola’s once before and the food and ambiance was outstanding, so I made a reservation for my anniversary this year. As life comes up, I had to change my reservation twice to accommodate our busy schedules and month close. On our way, I called the restaurant to let them know that we had changed the reservation and that we were running late for the new later reservation time. I asked if the table would be held and ready for us when we arrived and the young gentleman on the phone assured it was no problem. We arrived 15 minutes after our reservation, to find that they in fact did not hold our table, and when I asked for the manager almost immediately, the manager confirmed that I did change my reservation twice and that we were the last reservation of the evening and would not hold the table beyond 15 minutes. Now, if this were the case, why did you not call to let us know that you were in fact NOT going to hold the table? Turning away business at your door obviously loses business and warrants comments like this on Unilocal. I will not be returning to Lola’s, not simply because we were turned away, but because the manager wasn’t even nice about it. Don’t tell me you’ll hold my table for a reservation made 2 months in advance for a special occasion and then we get there and you are rude about not serving us. Any restaurant can serve good food and smooze the guest, but it sets a restaurant apart when you accommodate your guests. Lola’s doesn’t get it. PS went to Huacas next door and they were more than happy to take our business, and probably better than Lola’s would’ve been. :-P

My wife and I came here for a celebration dinner. We were surprised to find Lola’s tucked away from the main traffic in downtown Hollywood. The staff was friendly, and not intrusive. We started with a couple of drinks and some warm brie. Very nice start, though there could have been a few more crisps for the cheese. We both decided on the fillet with Parmesan scalloped potatoes. Mine was perfectly prepared; however, hers was not quite done enough. The staff was quick to address and correct it.

Audra and her husband Bob run and own this place with exceptional attention to detail. Over the past three weeks I have been to this restaurant with great friends and we shut down the place down with 40 people for a work event. Service was excellent and the food ooooooooh the food. Grouper, Milanese, filet and all the sides. Darn good. Then you have the appetizers. Amazing snacks. The bread is perfect. The drink and wine menus are also small but the perfect selection. Go here. Spend some money that you’ve earned. It supports two great local people who care about their business and your body, mouth, stomach and mind will thank you for it!!! #EnjoyLife #EnjoyFood #EnjoyFlorida

I’ve tried everything on the menu and it’s always delicious. Keep going back for the steak frites. Cheesecake is my favorite dessert. It’s a small place so it can get loud and nosey table neighbors can be annoying but that won’t stop me from eating here.

DELICIOUS!!! I highly recommend eating at Lola’s. I went with a small group of people and we ordered a ton of food. The ribs were amazing, the meat fell right off the bone. I had the lamb chops which were delicious and the grouper sauce was fantastic! My friends discovered that if you put the Parmesan truffle from the fries into the cheesy grits, you will create your own delicious masterpiece! Eat here!

This is not a daily place to visit. This is more of a date night kind of place. The food is amazeballs and service is top notch. The prices are a bit high but it’s definitely worth it in the grand scheme of things. All in all, I’d highly recommend this place for a special event or a nice date. Don’t bring skallywags here!

I really enjoyed Lola’s on Harrison. I shared a goat cheese salad to start, and then had the Branzino and crab cake. It was delicious. We also shared the Brussel sprouts as a side. They were pan fried. I generally prefer them flash fried, but they were still good(although I’m sure they were soaked in butter, which always helps).

Had a wonderful dinner in a business group. Started off with crab cakes. Then had to try the ribs of course and was not disappointed. Shared a few of the desserts amongst the table. The stand out being the bread pudding. Enjoyable evening. Thank you Lola’s.

Did you ever have a dish that was so delicious and memorable that you could not wait to get back and eat it again, yet when you did, it just did not live up to your highest expectations? I had eaten Lola’s Coke a Cola’s Ribs at least a couple of times, but I admit it has been a long time isce I did. However, the dish still remained entrenched in my memory. I even nominated it for the«Most Memorable Savory Dish in BPB». Well on a visit last night, the Coke a Cola Ribs really were not a fabulous as I remembered. Don’t get me wrong. They were still very good(still some of the best ribs I have eaten!) These short ribs were meaty, tender, and tasty. But they still did not live up to that unbelievable orgasmic, lick your plate taste sensation that I remembered. Later on, I wondered, had I just built up this dish too much in my mind only to be disappointed, or did Lola’s really miss the mark a bit. Then I realized, it was the sauce… not enough of that delicious, sweet Coke a Cola sauce. During our meal, a staff member had asked us about our meals, to which I replied, «Not enough sauce». She replied, You should have asked for extra sauce”. I replied, «I never had to ask for extra sauce before.» The server graciously brought some sauce on the side, but I have to say, it was not the same as when it is cooked with the ribs. So Lola’s, take note, start cooking your signature dish with more sauce so people can have enough to lick off the plate again!!! We actually did get other items. For appetizers: Salmon Tartar: Served with Wakame Salad and tasty chips, it was very fresh but I found there to be a lack of seasoning. Pork Belly Tacos: Amazing! An explosion of flavor! 10 year old again picks a winner! Crab Cake: Full of crab and delicious, with a really nice chipotle sauce on the side. Caesar Salad: nothing special but I never expect much from a Caesar. Since three of us ordered the ribs, the only other main ordered was a Filet Mignon by 12 year old. He ordered it medium rare but it came out rate and was a bit fatty. The side potatoes were delicious. Since there was a ferocious storm we wanted to wait out, we did splurge on dessert. All were fantastic! The best was the Key Lime Cheesecake! Silky smooth, with just the right hint of key lime flavor, it melted in your mouth. I did not taste Husband’s Crème Brûlée but he said it was the best he had in a long time. Even 12 year old’s Vanilla Ice Cream was great. I think they make it in house. Service, from the front of the house to all of our servers was top notch. The manager also did something that really impressed me. We had a Travel Zoo certificate that we had bought a while ago. It included the apps, entrees, and wine(or beverages) for $ 109. It was a good deal since the Coke A Cola Ribs alone are $ 31. Well, not reading the fine print we did not see that 1. It was not valid on Saturday and 2. It was not valid with an Open Table reservation. We showed up on a Saturday night with an Open Table reservation yet they still honored the certificate. What a gentleman and class act! Overall, Lola’s is a class act in the middle of downtown Hollywood. Yes, the décor is nothing to write home about(pretty boring) and it’s a bit pricey, but it’s a really nice place for a date night or a special night out.

Wow the food here was just mind blowing and amazing. First, they bring out this amazing crusty french bread. Started out with shrimp tacos that were crusted in corn meal and were cooked to perfection two nice size tacos. The mussels are amazing cooked in a perfect ratio of fresh slivers or garlic and wine sauce. Served with warm grilled bread perfect for dipping in the sauce. Also, got a Caesar salad which was just great nice amount of regionno paramsean slices shaved on top. I didn’t order the coca cola ribs, but I saw them come to the table and the portion was huge. With fried homemade onion rings and a corn slaw. I ordered fish ina curry sauce that was seared to perfection the skin was nice and crispy. Now even though I had any room left in my stomach dessert here is a must. We got the crime brûlée with fresh blackberries served warm. We also got the peanut butter and chocolate pie wow mind blowing. Everything at this place from the appetizers, main course, and dessert were spectacular. So, I can’t wait to try this place again. Service was spectacular!

We had been meaning to try Lola’s for sometime… so we made reservations and then had our babysitter cancel. Did that stop us? Nope. We took our 5 yr old and we went anyway. The only thing really available for kids(per our waiter) was chicken tenders and fries. Our daughter really isn’t a tender kind of kid… so we ordered the angry shrimp and grits. The waiter said it wasn’t spicy. It wasn’t …until the last bite of shrimp. Next time(if we bring her back) we will ask for the ‘angry’ to be left off. For our dishes we started with the pork belly tacos… OMG! Delicious! Messy, but delicious. I had their signature beef ribs. They were fell off the bone great! Husband had the mahi with double bok choy… he didn’t leave a drop. Dessert was key lime… my daughter and I shared the brownie sundae and I had a cappuccino. Cappuccino was not really hot, but was okay. Service was good. Our server ended up with a very large party and kinda disappeared. Another server packed up our leftovers and even offered to send home the bone for our dog. We would definitely go back.

Been here a few times and it’s always good. Had the Bronzino and it was served fresh and pretty quick considering there were only 2 waiters. Everyone loved their food as we had a party of 8. Recommend this spot.

This was a really cool spot on Harrison. We were greeted and seated right away at a table by the window. We had a few people waiting on us but it felt very rushed. I had the bellini, it was very sweet and switched to red wine. For appetizers, we had the shrimp and grits and the brie cheese plate. The grits were so bland, no salt, no butter, worst grits I’ve ever had. The brie was warm, it came with honey and a raspberry chutney, pita and almonds. It was delicious. For our entrée we shared the Coca Cola Ribs. They were spectacular. But I have to say my favorite dish of the evening was their bread pudding.

Great food, Great Waiter(Kay) But beware of the brother at the door. I thought seeing him as a brotha myself would ease the sometime tension a bit because well you know lol. I have always experienced Lolas as a welcoming warm and a very hospitable restaurant. Lola’s is a very good restaurant which is literally steps away from my Condo! I have bragged to my gf how much I enjoyed the place and even book it for a party of 18 for my companies holiday dinner. Which was NOT cheap considering I carried the bill. This guy was just plan rude and very dry towards us so we left. After deciding we are not going to let this«HOST» spoil our dinner plans we came back and his attitude remained the same. Almost as if we did’t belong there if you can believe that… The table we asked for he stated was reserved for a party of five and the other table we asked for was also reserved for a party of four. Both tables were sat the party of five was a party of two the party of four was a party of one. We were offered the table in the back at the very end of the bar or another table for two next to a group of guys in suits who were obviously having a business dinner. Which was no issue for us at all. They also noticed our odds with the host and stated they would have left if it was them. Given the fact the place had only two of the about twelve tables already occupied when we arrived. We assumed hey we would take somewhere warm if possible private and cozy is always her preference. Long story short I tipped the waitress and left a little note mentioning how well she did and how much an aZZ the«HOST» was towards us. We will be returning ether way because in spite of this experience the food is always very good. Our bill was about 137.89 + 30.00 tip = $ 167.89 not what we expected to pay but you get what you pay for in hollywood. A bit high for two people in my opinion food came out quick drink was very good. But if the guy at the door doesn’t like his job. He should go to law school. Hey I did ;)
