Went back last night for Jazzy Tuesdays. I had high hopes, as the place seems to be getting busier and busier, as I drive by from time to time. Walked in — the place still looks very nice; waited SEVEN minutes to be acknowledged by the hostess(same one from before), who was in the back, eating. She walks up to the podium, smiles and greets us, but never asks the customary, «Are you here for dinner?» or «Just the two of you?» CANSOMEONEPLEASEGIVETHISGIRL A SCRIPT??? So, I say. .. do you work here? She answers yes.. .. ..(tick tock). I ask, can we be seated for dinner?”, she grabs menus, and starts walking away. AREYOUKIDDINGME???(sitll shaking my head) We are seated, and Skip, who was the aforementioned bartender, is our server tonight. He takes our orders, delivers our drinks, and then we wait. .. for 39 minutes. For the pasta, and some calamari. THIRTY-NINEMINUTES. Delroy, the manager/promoter comes over to greet us and do the schmoozing bit, and as he says hello, I stop him, and ask him to go check on our food(with a real sweet smile). The food comes out less than 60 seconds later. Here is the bright spot — the food is DELICIOUS!!! We even ordered the cheesecake for dessert, and it was so yummy. Chef Cathy is awesome!!! The crowd was decent; the DJ Mike T, was very good, and Skip, who really almost got jacked up on my first visit did a great job as a server(aside from never coming back to our table while we waited more than half an hour for our food). All in all — if you can forgive a staff that is as clueless as the day is long, the food is worth it.
