Pretty Disgusting. 4*The girl behind the counter was putting on make-up and asked the boy to help us. 3*He was coughing and not covering his mouth. 2*The store was neglected with dirty napkins, pots, pans, utensils. Total TURN-OFF! If you HAVE to go, buyer beware. Otherwise, go up to Las Olas. South Beach location almost as bad as Hlwd.

1 check-in Few things get a 5 star rating from this guy, but Kilwins always does. Kilwins is a specialty chocolate shop with roots in northern Michigan. Don and Kathy Kilwin started the company some time ago and later sold it. New ownership later grew the company with franchises in many states, sprawling from Michigan to Florida and out west to Colorado. Specialty ice cream and chocolates and all so delicious. Try them all! Their specialty is Mackinac Island(Michigan) fudge, which are offered in several flavors.(Tip: Fudge is not chocolate so don’t eat large quantity of fudge in a single sitting or you’ll be sitting elsewhere with a rumbly in the tummy). Many Kilwin stores create some of their delectable chocolate products in store. You can watch them in action making in-house fudge or other treats. NOTE: Ever want to know what’s made in-house and what is shipped in? Just search on products for the Kilwins label. If it lists an address for that local store, then it was likely made there. If the Kilwins label lists a city of «Petoskey, Michigan» then it was likely shipped in — but still delicious. Just know Kilwins chocolate is a little more expensive than your ordinary Hershey bar — but the quality is so much greater and well worth it!

Mediocre massively overpriced ice cream. Cheerless interior with dental office top 40 radio and listless counter girl humming along. In charming Potemkin downtown Hollywood.

My husband loved his cappuccino chip ice cream, my son hated the strawberry cheesecake. My choc chip cookie dough was okay. The price for 3 people made me gag. Next time, we go home for some Publix from the carton!

You are evil. You broke my 1+ years of not having ice cream and slapped it to the ground. And it was my birthday! Well… At least I had a mix of delicious waffle with vanilla and strawberry ice cream. Freaking amazing, creamy, not soft and fast to melt. It was heaven. It was my birthday. It was Kilwin’s fault. My girlfriend had a similar thing, and we also got her mom some chocolate bark with nuts. Which we never tried because we left in Miami. DAMMIT! People, I recommend this place in a heart beat. Beating ice cream in my heart.

Tried fudge which was just ok and a chocolate pretzel that was very good. The girls running the register were very nice and helpful. We will go back.

We drove from downtown Miami to get some fudge. What a mistake and waste of gas. I bought plain fudge thinking it was going to be creamy. Wrong. It was hard around the edges(old) and had a chemical taste inside. That was expensive too but too far to drive back. The chocolate pretzels were not good either! The smores were good. We will not be back. The Kilwin’s in Miami is delicious all the time! Live and learn.

Yummy spot for a sweet tooth, parking is usually not a problem during the week days, big variety and they give out free samples so you can pick and choose the flavor. Will be coming back!

Maybe it’s a case of too much reputation. This place is so old and I’ve heard so much about it, I expected this fudge to melt the tension out of my shoulders or give me those oh-so-good feelings south of my belly. Turns out, it’s just fudge. good, but not amazing.

Disgusting!!! See my picture I uploaded there’s hair in the ice cream … Ewwww!!! the ice cream is old and freezer burnt. the customer service is growth is horrible… Can you believe this lady had the audacity to think we were going to pay for ice cream when it was disgusting in here is in buckets? Consumers beware if you ever go to Kilwins on Hollywood Boulevard, do yourself a favor and walk by… rather run!!! there’s plenty of other places if you need to cure your sugar tooth if you go there you might be getting more than what you bargained for… In an unpleasant manner.

The ice cream was average and way over priced. We had banana fudge and turtle cheesecake. They tasted store bought. The staff seemed more interested in their cell phones than the clients, and couldn’t get the order straight. The cashier had to ask three times what our order was. I would go back to try their fudge, though. I don’t think I would eat their ice cream again.

Stopped in for a scoop of ice cream with my wife and three children. Counter servers were curt and seemed irritated with their jobs. I ordered rocky road, my favorite anyplace else, but the flavor was off somehow. The chocolate tasted chemical and there were no marshmallows — it seemed as though someone just stirred in some marshmallow fluff. I tried my wife’s and childrens — banana fudge, cake batter, and cookies and cream — all tasted off. chemical like. We were already out of the store and walking by the time we decided all of our ice cream tasted off and didn’t want to take the time and effort with the whole family to fight for a refund. This was not the expected experience and we won’t be back.

So good but the prices are so high. Iceacream cone with one scoop of iceacream $ 5.09 with tax! They make th Carmel apples right in the front window everything looks so good. The smell of the place makes you want to eat everything. The iceacream is really good too!

There’s just something about ice cream and chocolate… Visited here while waiting for some friends to finish up at the casino. I walked in just to see what they had. I hadn’t planned on buying anything because I had a race the next day. Big mistake! The whole place looks and smells yummy. If it can be covered in chocolate, they probably sell it here. Walking out empty-handed was torture. If the service was poor, I could have left that store without a second look. But, everyone was super friendly and greeted me immediately even though they were super busy. I returned two days later and was greeted with the same enthusiasm. The young lady surprised me by telling me that she remembered me from earlier that week, teasing that she knew I’d be back. They must get that a lot! Two scoops of ice cream, one chocolate-covered marshmallow, and turtle apple later, I had never been happier that I’d returned, and was googling this place hoping there were more locations awaiting me upon my return home to Baltimore.

If you like ice cream you will LOVE Kilwin’s. My first encounter with Kilwin’s I was walking around Hollywood Circle having a pretty bad day. Kilwin’s not only has ice cream, but also makes chocolate and fudge right on site! Earlier in the day, you can watch them making the yummy goodies that they sell. One of my favorite things in life are dark chocolate covered orange peels which are not especially easy to find. I have tasted many many many of them, and Kilwin’s would rate as like the Porche of chocolate covered orange peels. I went in, bought 4 of them, and from that point on my day got much much brighter, and definitely sweeter. Aside from the fact that, the waiter at Kilwin’s was super nice and waited for me patiently to make my decision as to how much coffee ice cream I was going to take home with me that day. One thing to note is that though Gellato is good, Kilwin’s is better. Also, you get a lot more for what you pay for at Kilwin’s than any of the other ice cream/gellato shops in Young circle. It is $ 4– for a scoop. The one downside that I have found is that Kilwin’s is not open late night, so if you want to have the greatest, you have to get there early.

This Kilwin’s location is right on Hollywood blvd, so it’s the perfect place to head after dinner for something sweet. The store itself is immaculate — clean, well-lit, and decorated like an old-time chocolate shop. Very cute and home-y feeling. There’s even some seating outside to enjoy your treat. The staff is very friendly, you can even see them making some of the treats when you order. They’re super helpful in deciding what to order, and gave some small tastes to help with our decision. What do they sell? Well, if you can dip it in chocolate, they serve it here. Chocolate covered candy, truffles, chocolate covered snacks(rice krispies, twinkies, etc.), turtles, almost every type of fudge you can think of. I could go on and on! I got a bunch of little bites, each better than the last: chocolate covered pretzels, turtles, peanut butter fudge… mmm! They also have these delicious-looking candy apples, all intricately decorated. Though I didn’t try the ice cream, they had a wide variety of flavors. If it’s anything like the chocolate, I’m sure it’s great quality. Everything is made in house and held to a high standard and it shows. Definitely check this place out for a yummy treat!

what a wonderful place to have dessert. kilwin’s brings back so many wonderful childhood memory in a more sophisticated, upscale way. who knew you can do all that with an apple. i love candied apples and kilwin’s certainly does a great job with the endless possibilities of applying chocolate caramel ect… to an ordinary fruit. hollywood has stepped it up with this one. love it!!!
