Specialties
We offer a diverse menu of rotating specialties that feature crisp and flavorful renditions of American favorites, healthy Mediterranean cuisine, sweet delights, and hearty recipes that allow the exceptional quality of ingredients and a touch of European flair to take center stage on your table at one of the best Italian & Romanian restaurants in Hollywood Florida.
History
Established in 1933.
What began as the Rainbo Lounge, in 1933, following on the heels of the Prohibition era, was one of the first establishments in the county to be issued a liquor license after the Prohibition repeal.
The lounge was part casino and part nightclub to an exclusive clientele, including the likes of Al Capone and his entourage decked out in tuxedos and evening gowns.
Years later, in 1990, Rainbo Café resurfaced to serve a more modest clientele with home-style cooking and a family atmosphere.
Within the first year, the restaurant would regain some notoriety as the featured Rainbo Ice Cream Shop in the film «Cape Fear», by acclaimed director Martin Scorsese, starring Robert DeNiro, Jessica Lange and Nick Nolte.
Rainbo enjoyed a formidable run in its second incarnation, but as all good things that come to an end, so was the fate of Rainbo.
Now, reborn and poised to reclaim its infamous position in the history of Downtown Hollywood, Rainbo, is back with a vengeance: La Vendetta.
