Pangea is a full service San Jose and Bay Area catering and event company with the modern customer and bride in mind. We focus on Caribbean, Asian, Indian, African, and South American, as well as other ethnic cuisines.
In addition, we offer the full complement of San Jose event services to include custom centerpieces, equipment rental, bar service, servers, valets, and security. We also work with a network of Bay area photographers, DJs, florists, and bakers to ensure that your San Jose area event is truly one of a kind.
History
Established in 2006.
Pangea Catering & Events was started by Kevin Walters. The idea was to establish a catering company that focused on global and ethnic cuisine.
Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner
Kevin Walters is the owner and operator of Pangea Catering & Events. Growing up in a Jamaican household, Kevin gained an appreciation for caribbean cuisine and cooking. In high school Kevin worked as a bus boy and waiter at Hacienda Golf Club. There he learned to appreciate fine cuisine and the finer points of excellent food service. After High School, Kevin joined the military and served in the Air Force for 8 years as a spacecraft operator. There he continued his interest in food. At night he worked in restaurants and took Wine education classes while stationed at Vandenberg Air Force Base. At the end of his second enlistment, Kevin left the Air Force to pursue his dream profession. Using his GI Bill, he studied Hospitality Manangement at San Francisco State University. Pangea Catering & Events was started in 2006 and provides catering services in San Jose and the Greater Bay Area.
