History

Established in 1999.

Before Passport Health, travelers had no convenient way to receive quality, timely, travel medical advice or immunizations for their international travel. Some hospitals offered limited services on a very part-​time basis as an accommodation.

Since physicians typically do not specialize in travel medicine, the need for a comprehensive international travel medicine clinic with national scope was evident.

Created by a nurse, Fran Lessons, Passport Health opened its first office in Baltimore in 1994.

In 2000 Dr. Scott Morcott bought the rights to the franchise in Chicago and surrounding suburbs.

Dr. Scott Morcott is a board certified Family Medicine Physician with an additional fellowship in Integrative Health and Wellness. Dr. Morcott believes that prevention of disease is both beneficial for long term health and cost effective. He is proud of his staff and the excellent customer service that they provide.
