Who is this person Rosangela? The florist department is not hers and she did an AMAZING job putting flowers together for my mother and my aunt. She single handedly assisted me and coordinated 2 beautiful arrangements. I have and exceptional service from Mariano’s in the past but this by far has been my best experience. Thank you for taking a caring approach Rosangela you’ve been absolutely wonderful! Thank you!!!

I adore this grocery store. I love the breads, the fresh produce and the ambiance makes you want to stay for hours. Extensive cheese section which I love, and the staff is exceptionally friendly. It’s my favorite grocery store in the Chicago area.

You know, I like this place. Miles above Jewel(or as I call it POO-el). DOUBLECOUPONWEDNESDAYS!!! Heck yeah! Good service; friendly cash register folks. Clean, good selection. Their produce isn’t rotting on the shelves(better than you can say for POO-el or Aldi(or as I say All is not well-di)). This place and Tony’s are my faves for groceries in these parts.

I love this store. Everything from their fresh produce to prepared hot foods, their spectacular bakery, their delicious fresh meats, their great assortment of cheeses, wines, and dainties, to the fact that they offer many choices of organics, gluten free foods, specialty diet items and their staff is unfailingly helpful, polite, and downright cheerful. Plus — omg they have live entertainment! LOL! How many places do you shop for groceries that serenade you with live piano? Yes, it’s crazy busy at times(on weekends) but worth exercising a little patience to enjoy.

Mariano’s is absolutely amazing in there customer service. Tonight I stopped at the Hoffman Estates Mariano’s and bought a rotisserie chicken. When I got home the chicken that was in the container was all mangled. I called the store and the manager couldn’t of been nicer. He personally delivered me a brand-new rotisserie chicken, flowers, a gift card for another chicken, and very sincere apology. I am in awe. So many companies nowadays just don’t care about the customer. Mariano’s now has my loyalty for life.

The produce, breads, cheeses, meats, seafood and dairy are always fresh at Marianos. I love coming in on the weekends and trying a new wine or cheese. I also love the fact that if I want to taste something new before I buy it from the deli or cheese counter, the staff is very obliging. They will also take time to answer your questions or help you find sonething in an aisle. Very nice and clean store. Great place to explore and shop. I haven’t purchased flowers yet but the arrangements always look beautiful. I LOVE the wine selection here. Affordable and a great variety too, including my favorite reds. Oh, and the chicken pot pies are amazing! I stear clear of the bakery because I just can’t be tempted by those delicious and gorgeous cakes and donuts. I did try the honey oatmeal bread for the first time and it is very good and light. Thank you Marianos!

Love going here for fresh squeezed orange juice! Since having their o.j. I cannot drink any other orange juice! Their hot soups are pretty good, our favorite is their creamy chicken and dumplings. Sushi at Oki Sushi with Chef Chris is delish! He’s super nice, smiley and has a great sense of humor as well. If you haven’t already tried a Persian croissant from bakery, you must! Tried it and we were hooked!

Love Mariano’s Fresh Market! I’m a huge fan of their juice bar. The smoothies are the real deal here with no added sugars and not overloaded with ice like other places(Jamba Juice etc). The prices are reasonable and I love their store layout. I’m here at least few times a week and has quickly become my family’s fav grocery store. Organic selections are good but not extensive(compared to Whole Foods) but nonetheless good. Highly recommended local grocery store!

Horrible experience today at the store the lady at the cheese area are rude with the costumers. Almost hit myself because I didn’t take some product. Her name is Terri Be carful is you see her and stay away from her very rude person. I hope the manager can talk to her and hire people who really like to work and respect the customers.

This place is excellent! They have everything from fresh food to groceries. Their sandwiches are very tasty, pizza is great, salad bar is fresh, and the Gelato is very tasty. Can’t really say much to complain about this place. Thr staff is friendly and curteous. I haven’t tried their sushi although I’ve heard decent things about it. Enjoy!

This place is amazing! It has practically everything you need. Very clean and very nice selection of quality foods! It’s an upscale grocery store, with a salad bar, sushi bar, grill, bakery, and you can even get fresh juices and smoothies too! They even have a musician playing a piano in the front of the store. Great shopping experience! I came for here for lunch and ordered the Turkey Chiplote Panini. It was huge, and all for only $ 6.00. My Panini could have used slightly more Chiplote sauce, but it was good. I’d get it again. Plenty of other selections! And if that doesn’t do it for you, walk around and grab a handful of samples!

I love shopping here. It’s a great in between from a Whole Foods to a Jewel Osco. They have great prices and a great selection of unhealthy to super healthy foods. They even have a wide spread of meats comparable to Asian markets. It is a great grocery store, especially since it’s location is so convenient!

Wow! I was very impressed with this place, but apparently so is half the population of Hoffman Estates because this place was a madhouse during my visit. If I was agoraphobic I would of died from a brain aneurysm I was wanting to swing by today as so many of my fellow Unilocalers hold this establishment in high regard, but just getting into the parking lot and finding a spot a quarter of a mile away from the front door proved to be a challenge. I half expected to discover they were giving away free lap dances from the cast of America’s Next Top Model. I would recommend parking over on the far side of the building by the Hallmark store, ninja style. After getting inside and checking out the offerings here, I was able to discern what all the fuss was about. This place is glorious! To say that it is like Whole Foods really does not do this place justice, as it is a bit of a hybrid. Sure, they have all the amazing trappings you would expect of an upper echelon store, but you can also buy 2 liters of Shasta Soda for 49 cents too. In short, It functions as a «normal» grocery store as well. As such, it does not give off that annoying vibe of pretentiousness that has been an underpinning of many of the establishments I checked out since I arrived in town. Score one for the good guys. It did take me a considerable amount of time to get the Pastrami, cheese, and ground beef I was looking for though. It was pretty much a take a number and hope your cell phone is good and charged so you can play some games in the interim. I also liked how they had their ethnic foods section in the center organized with the large country flags hanging down for rapid identification. Since I had no idea where I was going as I wandered around, this proved most helpful. I left this place with WAY more items than I needed, so feel free to stop by my place for dinner for the next month or so as I am stocked up like the zombie apocalypse is imminent.

I love Mariano’s! How can you not love a grocery store with a Nordstrom feel??? Their live piano player gets me every time =) Mariano’s gets 5 stars for their huge salad bar, always fresh bakery, gelato shop, hot and ready food selection, organic food selection including sushi(that I will never eat at a grocery store), great value, friendly and efficient staff, great selection of liquor and wine, and great selection of EVERYTHING! This location has a great manager who greets customers and offers help every time! Negative: parking usually is not the best.

Mariano’s is a neat grocery store. I wish there was one more conveniently-located to us; they missed an opportunity, IMO, by not having one near Woodfield Mall. The fresh food(bakery and prepared) is awesome. I have my eye(and stomach) on a ham and brie sandwich on a pretzel bun. I had just eaten lunch before we went, so it got relegated to my «to eat» list. Prices are very fair. Check the weekly ads and coupons, as there are deals to be had. I scored asparagus for $ 1.99/lb, which is about the best price you’ll find these days. The gelato caught our eye as we walked in but, again, being full from lunch, we just looked. By the end of our trip, we had just enough space for a little scoop each, and we both went for pistachio. I loved it, my friend wasn’t thrilled. We both grew up on gelato in Europe, so it’s interesting that we had different opinions(and I’m not a fan of sweets or ice cream, really). For $ 1 a scoop, you can’t go wrong trying. // Update: The ham and brie on a pretzel bun(called The Paris Sandwich) is incredibly delicious. It’s located in the deli bar. And then your stomach, if you’re smart. Favorite sushi out? The chefs will make your sushi as you request. Done in less than 15 minutes. Now, that is service.

I usually come to Marianos for two things: baked good and soups. The soups always seem to be at the bottom of the barrel when I come around 5pm. The soups are delicious but I don’t understand why they don’t refill them when the store is still open for 5 more hours. The baked good always look nice and taste like home made. I also really like the caramel apples they have during the fall

This place is a zoo on the weekends. You would think that they were giving something away with how packed the parking lot was. I was just visiting Chicagoland so Mariano’s came about after I moved from Chicago. I went to the bakery and the folks were helpful regarding our questions about a birthday cake. I purchased some items to eat for our group and finally found an empty table in their café. Holy cow, they were packed to the gills. This seems to be a popular place. It reminds me of a Whole Foods Store on steroids with a lot less aisle space.

I’m in «like» with this Mariano’s. Not love. And in the sea of Jewels and now abandoned Dominick’s, it’s no surprise that this location is hopping. The layout isn’t choice, mostly because it’s a previous Dominick’s-turned-Mariano’s. However, it’s still nicely stocked with boatloads of fresh produce(with a nice organic section, too), plenty of ready made salads, cheese for days and an impressive meat selection. As for other conveniences, my one year old will tell you(if she could form sentences) that the shopping carts fashioned as cars are the best thing ever. Along with the occasional tasty samples the nice folks dole out on the weekends. Is there room for improvement? Sure. The parking lot is small, malformed and can be rage inducing. As mentioned previously, the layout is a bit confusing but after a few trips, familiarity sets in. Pro tip: Gratis cucumber water near the ready made food section.
