I signed with Christian LoPiano after being pedestrian struck by a car at 45mph. He seemed calm and well educated in the process of personal injury lawsuits, but as our relationship continued he quickly showed himself to be a sexist, egotistical, rude, poor lawyer.
He was rude every time I talked to him and would yell at me and talk down to me instead of simply answering the questions I was asking. He is very unprofessional and conducts himself as a bully. I found myself being intimidated by him and not wanting to contact him when I needed to. (which is the last thing you need when you are in pain)
I would never be able to get the correct information from him any way so I tried talking with my insurance provider, but was not able to get answers there either because in NJ if you have a lawyer it is against the law for them to discuss anything with the insured and all communication must be through the lawyer.
So I called Mr. LoPiano, and he started right in yelling at me for asking what he found to be stupid questions. He continued to yell and curse at me when I told him he didn’t inform me of important information on the billing process. I told him I will not be spoken to in that manner or listen to him cursing at me. He told me ‘then hang-​up!” and then he hung up on me! This is supposed to be a professional firm; he is an older man that acts worse than a drunken teenager.
This firm doesn’t hold themselves to professional standards or customer service! If you are paying a lawyer 33% of your money rewarded it should go to a lawyer that actually does something to earn that money, a lawyer who is helpful and knowledgeable and understanding of the horrible condition you are in after a traumatic accident — –these are NOT those lawyers!
