Hudson Dance & Movement provides professional dance instruction for toddlers up to adults. The school offers a comprehensive dance curriculum throughout the year with programs in Ballet, Creative Movement, Hip Hop, Modern, Musical Theater, Tap, and Preschool. The school recognizes each dancer as an individual and focus on improving their natural talents and abilities in a fun, encouraging and supportive atmosphere.

History

Established in 2008.

A note on the founding of Hudson Dance & Movement from the Artistic Director:

«Dance has always been a creative and athletic outlet for me. As a young girl, I found it gave me a sense of structure, self-​discipline, and personal growth. As I matured, I realized it had molded me into a confident and grounded artist who had a talent to teach and perform. Dance has presented many challenges along the way, but nothing has ever been worth the sacrifice as this beautiful art form has. I had a vision to create a professional dance and performance school so I could share my knowledge and inspire children to desire and respect this wonderful skill as much I do. «- Bethany

Meet the Business Owner

Bethany M.

Business Owner

Bethany (Artistic Director/​Head of Ballet Program) began her foundational ballet training at the North Carolina School of the Arts and Central Wisconsin School of Ballet. The Alvin Ailey School in New York City, recognizing her potential, accepted her into their program as a full scholarship student to work under the direction of Judith Jamison. Bethany went on to perform with several companies including Ballet Chicago, North Shore Ballet, Alvin Ailey Youth, Amelie Dance Theater and in several off-​Broadway shows in New York City.

Bethany Marc-​Aurele is an ABT certified teacher. Passionate about early childhood dance education, she continues her teacher training at the VJPD in British Columbia, CPYB in Carlisle Pennsylvania and the American Ballet Theater. She has choreographed, coached, adjudicated, and overseen classical and multi-​disciplinary curriculums both nationally and internationally.
