This newly renovated establishment is absolutely the place to go if you are looking for the perfect engagement ring! I am a very happy bride to be! The staff is very friendly and extremely educated. They were so helpful to my fiancé and answered all our questions and concerns! We are so lucky to have a jeweler like this in Hoboken! Thank you so much guys for helping David pick the perfect ring for me! It is truly stunning!

Top notch service. I brought my watch here for repair and was very satisfied with the friendly and helpful customer service. I would absolutely recommend them. The gentleman that is usually there even gave me insight on watch collecting.

My favorite jeweler! I live in NYC and would come back to NJ any time to have a piece fixed or created by Reynold. The jewelry is gorgeous, fair prices, and finished in a timely fashion. Absolutely will never go to another jeweler in my life. Can’t wait for my next ring!

I love my new ring! I went into the store a couple weeks ago with an idea of what I wanted. Reynold immediately went to work and got a couple of different sets of diamonds for me to see. I chose some diamonds (for a 3 stone ring) and then described the setting I wanted. He didn’t have an actual ring in the store that I liked, so he said he would make one for me. I was a little nervous buying something I hadn’t actually seen, but he said «trust me, you’re going to love it». He also said it would take a few weeks. He called me the very next week and said it was ready! And I LOVE IT! I would recommend this store and his great service to everyone. The store is «no frills» but the jewelry is beautiful.

Dropped my engagement ring off here earlier today to have it resized from a 7.5 to a 6. Not even an hour later and we were able to pick up the ring. Phenomenal work. Can’t even tell it was resized. Couldn’t be happier. Renault is the man!

Very pleased all around with this place! Just got engaged and had to get my ring sized and was nervous to take it just anywhere. I trusted the reviews and am happy I went here! I first got it re-​sized from a 7 to a 6 he did a beautiful job and did it in only 2 hours! but the next day it still felt a little too big which was my fault for going with a 6. I brought it back in again the next day to see if he could make it a little smaller to a 5.75 and he did no problem for me! Very kind and good service we will be going back here for our wedding bands!

My husband and I brought my engagement ring and wedding band to him to be redesigned in preparation for our 10 year anniversary. After a bit of drama that I won’t get into (it had nothing to do with working with Reynold, so don’t be concerned!) we were presented with an extraordinary piece of jewelry.
Reynold took my vision and made it a reality. He worked within our price range and worked within an acceptable amount of time, despite the fact that they are currently remodeling the shop.
I have found a jeweler for life.

Excellent service and fair prices. The owner could not be nicer. One reviewer stated they were rarely open during their posted hours, but I did not find that to be the case. The owner is knowledgable and really went above and beyond to make sure my husband’s wedding band, which needed to be resized, was ready as quickly as possible, despite impending vacation plans. We expected it to be ready later, but were pleasantly surprised. I’d definitely go back and give him my business.

I went here to get my engagement ring re-​sized and Reynold was incredibly fast and professional. He not only completed the resizing in a short amount of time, he also took the time to teach me about my ring and answered lots of my questions. Recently I loved their work so much, I went in just to say thanks. My husband had picked up my recently cleaned sterling silver jewelry and when I took it out I barely recognized it! The cleaning was quick, effective (needed– yikes!) and affordable. I even got a break on the cost for bringing in a few pieces. So I popped in to say «thanks and wow!» because I felt it was that good.
This is pretty consistent with the work they’ve performed for me over the years. Like others, I started with watch repair then had my wedding bands made there and more. I continue to patronize them and would highly recommend them to friends and neighbors.

Quick and easy watch battery replacement.

The jeweler destroyed a watch I brought for repair. Took it to an actual watch repair shop and was told, verbatim, «Whoever opened this had no idea how to fix a watch.» It wound up costing more to fix as a result of the incompetence of the people working here. They may be OK with rings and the like, but stay away when it comes to watches!

I’ve worked with Reynold here several times: engagement ring cleaning, wedding band creation for my husband and watch battery replacement. He’s so talented and knowledgeable about the industry and offers customer service that you wouldn’t get anywhere else in Hoboken.

I went in two weeks ago to resize my three wedding rings and Reynold did an awesome job! That was not my first time. I have browsed the store before and they have always been friendly and knowledgable. They are very ethical and will always explain to you what they can and cannot do. Their prices are fair and a good value for your money.

Great experience here! My fiancé recently bought my engagement ring from kays and I had it unaided with a ring guard on it for 6 weeks because I didn’t want to send it out to Kays to be sized and have it left with them for 2 – 3 weeks after reading stories about them having rings so long they lose them. I saw other great reviews about Hoboken Gold & diamonds and thought I would try to have my ring sized there. He did it on the spot in 15 minutes for a great price! He was kind and efficient and made me feel comfortable. I wish we could go back in time and have him make my ring since he said he could do it for a fraction of what we paid for it. I plan on also getting my wedding band sized with him as well as purchasing my fiancé ‘s ring from him!

Had a watch battery replaced here about a month ago. Took no more than 5 minutes. Very nice employees.

Don’t do it. Left a watch with them to change a strap. They said it would take a week and they would call, but after 7 days I hadn’t heard anything, so went in to see what what happening. Apparently the strap was on ‘back order’ and ‘might’ arrive this week, but either way I needed to choose a different strap. Why they didn’t call to say that sooner, I don’t know. Very poor communication/​customer service and no apology. Take your business elsewhere!

Be careful where you go for jewelry repairs. At Hoboken Gold and Diamonds, you can trust the jeweler knows what he’s doing. He repaired my engagement ring after another jeweler did a hatchet job on resizing it. He was up front and told me a quick fix would not cut it and that to fix the damage he would have to cut off the bottom half and replace all of the damaged portion. Obviously, that made me nervous, but when I got it back, I was so pleased — it looked brand new. He even spent an hour tightening all the prongs of all the little diamonds. I also learned a few things about how department stores set their diamonds onto rings and how titanium wedding bands are actually unsafe to wear if you work with your hands. All in all I had a very good experience here and will continue coming here in the future.

I came here to get my engagement ring sized and also get a custom platinum band created to match it.
The customer service at this place is outstanding. They worked with me to get my platinum wedding band to EXACTLY how I wanted it. This involved coming back to the store several times for a few small adjustments.
Throughout the entire process, the staff remained courteous and helpful. They even uttered the phrase «Don’t worry, we will get it perfect».
An excellent establishment. Would highly recommend anyone coming here for any and all of their jewelry needs!

Of all the jewelry stores in Hoboken, this is the only one that I know of that requires a doorbell and buzzer to get in. For security reasons, I can see why this is a thing.
I’ve never purchased anything here, but have come for watch repair/​resizing and gold repair. I wear a Saint Christopher medallion and chain around my neck, and it fell off in the shower (thankfully not anywhere else) due to an aging clasp. I brought it here and got it replaced for $ 25 — a good deal.
My only trouble? Getting it back. It was done 3 days after I dropped it off, but I work in the city every day and get out around 5, which lands me in Hoboken around 5:45. This place is supposed to close at 6, but every time I got there (four times in total)…they were always closed. I even left work early the 4^th time only to get there at 5:25 and see they were, once again, closed before 6.
I managed to get here on a Saturday some 5 weeks after I dropped my chain off to pick it up. Finally.
Great work and excellent repair prices — but watch out for the hours.
