We have had a number of cakes done by Georgio’s including our Wedding and Rehearsal Dinner cakes. Not only are the prices reasonable, they do an exceptional job. We happen to love layer cakes with buttercream, and they knock it out of the park.

Awesome treats! Much better than a certain television icon My girlfriend and I tried the rainbow cookies, cannolis, eclairs, napoleon, and lobster tail. Everything was great. Lobster tail was our favorite

I popped in here on a Sunday morning around 10am or so and found this place empty. There was still a very substantial selection of pastries and cookies to choose from so I was happy about that. I ended up going with an assortment of cannolis(SHOCK!!), pignoli cookies, chocolate eclairs and a ricotta pastry cake. I got one box with about 6 cannolis, 6 cookies, 2⁄3 eclairs and pastry cakes and it came out to about $ 25. Overall, everything had great flavors, was fresh which is most important and priced fairly. Remember to bring that special green paper as they don’t accept debit or credit cards. Buon appetito!

The cannolis from Giorgio’s are to die for!!! Don’t waste your time at Carlo’s, this mom and pop shop is soooo much better. Just make sure you stop at the ATM… It’s cash only!

What a great place! I grew up in the Bronx, and know what a GOOD Italian cookie is… and this place does it. Consistent, professional, and they treat you like family. Have ordered my son’s birthday cake from here 2 years in a row and as always, it is delish!

I no longer live in Hoboken, but still dream of Giorgio’s cannoli, lobster claws and«jammy cookies». Always fresh and delicious, with fantastic value for the quality that you receive. I used to live on the block, and joked that Giorgio’s kept me in elastic-waist pants for years. Totally worth having a little bit of a tummy, nite-nite I’m heading in to dream about the cannoli’s pistachio cream filling now. Miss you guys, see you on the next visit!

Got my fix today of Italian cookies. Now, I need to make sure they make it back to Virginia. Mary, who waited on me is a real sweetheart. This is the place to go.

The previous reviews were right on point. The pastries are incredible!!! Fresh, flaky, tasty. And the cookies??? Fig filled cookies are a must. The pignoli cookies were to die for. It’s a small business where the original baker still bakes. This is the real deal!!! We had horns that were just freshly filled. Seriously heaven on earth!!!

Came here for some pastries and found the selection to be limited. Maybe is was because it was dimly lit. I did bring home some cookies that were ok but I have had better.

This is my go to place when I am responsible for sweets at a party. Everyone I know loves their chocolate cookie clusters. I enjoy their jelly filled cookies but their lobster tails are just okay. If you want lobster tails, I would not recommend this place. I would rate this place as 3 stars but because my friends love the chocolate clusters — I give it a 4-stars.

I went here to get some pastries and cake for Christmas. I bought a cheesecake, canolis and struffoli. I was not impressed, and it all seemed sort of stale. I also bought some of their regular Italian cookies(sprinkles, chocolate) and they were okay.

This is where you go if you actually live in Hoboken and don’t want mass factory produced cookies/pastries/pies from a certain boozy driving baker downtown. This place is an original and a classic, it has been around since long branch was a twig. It is my go-to when I need cookies, pastries, cannolis, anything of the sort. Everyone that works there is friendly, helpful and just great. Giorgio’s is authentic, that’s the best way to describe them, they are true to what they do and how they do it. Hence, cash only. I wouldn’t expect credit cards here soon or nice, shiny white washed walls with everyone wearing matching pinstripe aprons. And that’s what I love about it. The little old Italian man who, I assume is the owner/baker is just the nicest man you’ll ever meet. He always goes out of his way when he’s working to make you happy. My Mom(a full bloodied Sicilian), loves it here, but lives 5 hours away. So, the owner always puts the cannoli shells separate and the filling in a container for her so it travels well. Always going above and beyond. The cookies and pastries are all delicious, I have never had anything bad here, nothing. This reminds me of sticking my hand in my Nana’s cookie jar when I was a kid. I love it here, and if I ate here too much I’d weigh 300 pounds. Oh, did I mention there aren’t a bunch of sloby tourists standing out front throwing trash on the ground and being in the way? Yeah there’s that too.

I had cannoli’s hear a few years ago and they were amazing. I even swung through on my way to the airport to grab some. Any other cannoli I have had since then has been a pale shadow in comparison.

All my friends rave about this place but I just don’t see how this is better than any other Italian bakery. Maybe it’s just me.

Old school warmth, look and feel. Authentic and awesome. Carlos. Really no comparison.

Delicious Italian pastries and. wait for it. no line!!!(like that joke of a shop Carlo’s) Downside is that it’s cash only and service can be slow at times, but it’s worth the wait. My favorite are the cannolis and Sfogliatelle YUM! Anyone who is really from Hoboken comes here for pastries and laughs at the line wrapped around the corner on 1st street for the«Cake Boss» :rolls eyes:

Decent little Italian bakery. We come here once in a while to get pastries if we are having family over. We’ve never been disappointed with the food. Some things are a little pricey but that is to be expected. This place has been around forever and is much more authentic than Carlo’s. The only concern I have is that it seems a little dirty. Their front window, where they have food on display for people walking by, was so dirty for several years that you could barely see the food through the cloudy window. Finally they cleaned it up recently. But if they let their front window stay that dirty for such a long time, it makes me wonder how clean it is in the areas we can’t see. If it was cleaner I’d probably give it 4 stars.

Old school pastry shop, very old slow moving soft speaking italian man. Very friendly, it was 3pm so maybe that’s why the place wasn’t very stocked. But it all looked good and the place was certainly clean. Got two dif cannoli, two cookies and a meringue. The cannolis were both very good, very creamy and tasty. Meringue tasted good but wasn’t anything too special. Cookies were bad, really bad. I have a feeling this place is better than what I saw and got, will go back again to see maybe at a earlier peak time.

I’ve never been very impressed with the cannolis I’ve had in NYC — I’ve had some from some shops in Little Italy in Manhattan and also the Bronx. They just weren’t as good as some of the cannolis I had in the North End in Boston. We moved into an apartment just a few blocks from Giorgio’s and stopped by because of all the great reviews. I was a bit skeptical coming in but I’m happy to report that these cannolis were amazing! Some of the best I’ve ever had. We got a cannoli, éclair and a couple of cookies. Everything was ridiculously good. The filling they use for the cannolis is not your typical ricotta cheese based filling. Seems to be their own mix of custard and ricotta or maybe something else. In any case, it was unique… in a good way. Best thing is that their prices are totally reasonable compared to places in Manhattan. Yet another example of avoiding the NYC markup. I have a feeling we’re going to be visiting here often…
