Can’t say enough good things about this spot. While they’re small compared to the liquor store in the nearby Shoprite, their prices are comparable and I haven’t ever thought«I wish they had what I was looking for.» The prices are definitely much better than any of the other nearby dedicated liquor stores/convenience stores. They let you pay by ipad with emailed reciepts, which is definitely quick when you’re looking to get some beer/wine/booze and get out of there. The thing I like the most about this spot is the owner, who is very friendly and always willing to make suggestions based on your likes, something he just got in, or something that was well-reviewed by other customers. He’s right about it too — hasn’t led me astray yet. If you pick out a bottle of liquor or a white wine and he has it chilled, he is quick to offer to switch it out for the chilled version.

Really excellently run local liquor store. Staff is extremely friendly, selection is excellent, and prices are some of the most reasonable in Hoboken. I’ve been making it a point lately to swing through here for my boozy needs.

Place is great. Super nice, helpful, honest and tireless owner. Reasonably prices for a small local liquor store. I’d even wager saying the best value in hoboken for a 6 pack. Owner knows his wine too.

This place is my favorite. Living in such a small town(city), it’s easy for business owners/staff to get too familiar with their customers and introduce the creep factor.(I hate the comments I get at Starbucks when I switch up my order.) Phil’s just that right mix of making recommendations based on your last few purchases vs. simply selling you what you grab on your way to the counter and wishing you a good day. Bonus — a very dog friendly establishment!

This place is great! Got a couple of really decent deals(Yuengling for $ 6.99) and the owner is so personable and friendly. I go back just for his stories. Great family owned business.

I love supporting local businesses and Phil(the owner) makes it so easy! He always gives a great recommendation and remembers which wines we love. 10% discount if you buy 6 bottles. Plus free delivery within Hoboken. Even during Hurricane Sandy!

I feel it’s very important to support our local small businesses post-Sandy. Here is a good place to start. Garden Wine & Liquor is a great little store(really little) for wine and beer. The owner/manager is very personable and always eager to recommend something for you. He has a good selection of the common beer/wine brands, and he has ‘just enough’ of the craft beers and random wines that can satisfy your ‘try something different’ urges. I’m pretty sure they deliver, and my favorite thing is you can get in and out of this store really quick. Prices are competitive with other local stores, give or take a dollar or two.

We just call this place«7th and Park.» Honestly I didn’t know it had a name! Prices here are not bad, certainly good for Hoboken. The guy at the counter is always helpful and his dogs stick around to keep him company. They will deliver in Hoboken, which is a plus. Just beware, it gets very hot in the summer.

My go to place for wine now. Fairly comparable prices to A&P from what I can tell, and the owner is incredibly nice and willing to offer some advice on which wine to get(and it’s not always the most expensive one). Best part? His wine recommendations are damn good. He’s given me 3 or 4 wine recommendations and he hasn’t steered me wrong yet. Second best part? The two dogs that can usually be found laying on the floor in his shop are adorable and friendly. Final thought — Do yourself a favor and buy a bottle of «Cheap Red Wine.» Stick it in the fridge for a bit then drink it. It’s a quality cheap table wine that I’ll often have a bottle at home now.
