I love Cold Stone they have amazing flavor combos to choose from. I am a big fan of their sorbet. I went a few weeks ago with my mother for a sweet treat on Sunday. The ice cream was great, however they do need more staff to clean clean the tables as they were very sticky. This location is always busy as it is in the center of a busy shopping area. The also offer birthday cakes and ice cream style cupcakes. Parking can be a challenge. The best part is you can do a couple of laps around shopping area and not feel somewhat guilty. There is outside seating so you can enjoy a nice treat on a sunny day!!!

Not usually one to review, but I was treated with disrespect from an employee at this location. The woman was a middle aged worker, and she came out around 8 pm from the back, saw a line, and muttered, «it’s never ending.»(Sorry. That’s the job your signed up for.) Then she proceeded to give me a hard time with my order and was extremely rude. Finally, when it came time to pay, our total was 8.49. I gave her a $ 20, and she opened the drawer. I said«I also have a penny right here so you can give me 50 cents.» She looked at me and said, «I’m too fast for you, that’s too much work.» I will not go back to this location if this miserable worker is still there. Terrible experience for over-priced ice cream. Everyone in the shop over heard how miserable of a person she was. I hope management can take care of her and create a better, more inviting environment.

Cold Stone at the Derby Shoppes is amazing! The ice cream is delicious… homemade everyday! Lots of mixing options to add in too. People there are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend their ice cream cakes — they have been big hits at our family events. It may be a bit expensive but YOUGETWHATYOUPAYFOR!

What a disappointment. Big bucks. Poor ice cream. And I have no idea what they are trying to pass off as whipped cream is. Don’t bother.

I must be a sucker for Cold Stone Creamery! I love this place. Their set ups are very similar in every store. If you’re not familiar with CSC, they allow you to choose the topics you want and they smash it into the ice cream flavor of your choice. And BAM! your ice cream mixture is ready and it’s usually delicious! my fav are peanut butter cup, toffee and brownies… it’s like a huge explosion in your mouth! I also like this location because it’s in a huge Mall and there is so much to see and do here. The Mall’s set up is similar to that of Patriots Place in Foxboro and Dedham’s Legacy place, except this might be a bit bigger. I love the seating by the glass window so you can people watch while you enjoy your ice cream. The downside is that the price is a bit expensive. You can pretty much but half a gallon of ice cream in your local supermarket, get some of the sides your self and mix it up. But hey… we’re out and we’re lazy so why not pay someone else to make it for us??? LOL. I usually come here when I have one of those coupons they email you so you can BOGO :)

If you can overlook the average caloric intake of Cold Stone, then this is the place for you! The space itself is really small and the staff really does try to accomodate each patron individually. But for the love of everything holy, the prices are ridiculous. For the price of one«love it» sundae, you can buy a pint of ice cream from Stop & Shop and all the toppings for the price of one single sundae. The ice cream concoctions are prepared all on one metal slab which is a little unnerving for those with food allergies. Overall, it’s a good treat every now and then. But with ridiculous prices and the corporate sing-alongs the staff is required to perform, it’s just not worth it!

Cool place. Reminds me of California. I like the cotton candy and strawberry blonde ice creams. But I wouldn’t recommend the Coffee House Crunch ice cream cake. They sell some cool ice cream cakes during the winter holidays. It’s a little expensive, but you get what you pay for.

I did like coldstone and my issue is with the particular location. My neice won a contest with her school 6 months ago and it was for a monthly kids sized ice cream cone for one year from Cold Stone, this is something coldstone was doing with the school. She had six months left on her reward and unfortunately cold stone fell under new ownership during that time. Well she went to go redeem her monthly cone(just a kid sized cone) and the new owner said sorry that was something the old owner did and it wasn’t written in their agreement when they purchased. WHAT?! They really denied a 5 year old a kiddie sized cone. I will NEVER go back there and will make sure I tell everyone. It isn’t like many kids one this, it isn’t for a weekly cone and it isnt for a large cone and there was only 6 months left one her certificates.

I am a HUGE ice cream fan. I eat it way more than any normal person should. It’s probably an addiction for me, actually. I CRAVE it. Now, I expect a bit of a backlash here, but Coldstone does nothing for me. I don’t know what it is… it just doesn’t taste homemade, it’s never the right consistency for me(it’s always way too«soupy»), it’s a little overpriced… I’ve only been debating between 2 or 3 stars because of the service. The girls are always super nice here, so anytime I’ve been here with a huge Coldstone fan, they are quick to serve, very pleasant, just really… nice. So it boosts my 2 star«Meh, I’ve experienced better» rating to 3 «A-OK» stars. Oh! And they definitely need more chairs/tables… for Derby Street, a shopping mecca, it’s kind of ridiculous to have just a table or two. OK, ice cream rant over… off to Peaceful Meadows!(hehe) ;oP

Seriously, if you’ve been in Massachusetts for more than 5 minutes you know all about Coldstone’s ice cream amazement. I’ll spare the gushing about that, and just say: cake batter ice cream, with cookie dough, brownies, and strawberries. Do it. Trust me. I crave this combination regularly, so I tend to get the big-guy portion and enjoy it for weeks. (There was an unfortunate girls night in, during which two of my «best girlfriends» ate my entire quart. We don’t speak much anymore. Don’t mess with my Coldstone.) Agreed though with previous comments about the Derby Street Shoppes. It’s full of awkward and designer-clad teenage girls from Hingham, who giggle a lot and take a lot of pictures. If you can get past that, and the absolutely horrible drivers in that enormous parking lot, then you’ve made it to heaven. Thumbs up. Derby Street is a pain in the arse, but starting it off with a trip to Coldstone makes it bearable.

I live for Coldstone. I love the cake batter ice cream with cake pieces in it! TODIEFOR! I am also a fan of applie pie a la coldstone. It is very fatty, so diet-friendly people, stay away! I like when you give them a tip, they sing out loud. However, at this establishment, they were too tired? lazy? annoyed? to sing to me as a gave them a tip in their bucket!

let’s face it. coldstone’s ice cream is just plain amazing and i don’t even want to think about the amount of fat and calories it takes to make it that way. birthday cake remix? i could live on it. cake batter ice cream, RAINBOW jimmies [not those dumb chocolate ones thankyouverymuch], brownies, *and* fudge. hold please, i just drooled all over my keyboard. and anything you can stuff chunks of cake into, yeah, i’ll take three of those. once i had the cherry cheesecake milkshake, and i could feel my arteries clogging. clogging very, very happily. i mean come on, the shit’s made with PIEFILLING. as if you needed a straight up serving of that, ever. so, okay, we’ve gotten the delicious part out of the way. this particular one is in that yuppie shopping plaza — the derby street shoppes. that’s right, s-h-o-p-p-e-s. the more unnecessary letters the better. i said yuppie remember? anyway, i’m pretty sure that their entire staff has just reached the legal working age, and most of them look about 12. and man are they EXCITED to be working and not out shopping and skateboarding with their bffs! not. it’s painful to listen to them take your order and then slap together your«creation.» usually i try not to watch but one day i think their manager was on duty so the little twerp behind the counter said in a dead monotone, «excuse me MA’AM, please step over here and watch me create your ice cream.» oh god. not to mention i’m 23 and most people take me for 16, so please ffs, don’t call me ma’am. the absolute worst part is, if you tip them, they’ll sing. they’ll sing some retarded parody to fit in the word«coldstone» or «ice cream.» all of them in their monotone and beyond unenthused voices, not even close to being in unison. you can tip them and tell them not to sing [i’ve tried this, and i’ve actually heard other customers do it too, that should tell you something], but then they will so cheerfully tell you«UGHWEHAVETO.» and you can’t very well just walk out in the middle of their song, that would be rude and awkward. so you just stand there even more awkwardly and suffer until it’s over, and then soothe your soul with a fucking humongous fatty fat ice cream sundae. iiiiiiiii guessssss you’llllllll say what can make me feel this way COLDSTOONNNEEEEEEEEEE or, you just don’t tip, like i do, because they don’t deserve it.
