Fantastic service and food! The seafood chowder and hushpuppies are a must. We had a storm come in and the staff was prepared. They were tracking it and eased our worries as we had just sat down to an outside table. This is a professional staff… they know what to do and were prepared to deliver great service in spite of Mother Nature. They stopped taking names on their wait list in order to get all outside seated patrons moved inside. We were quickly moved inside so we could enjoy the rest of our meal without worry. Our waiter, Mark, gave great meal recommendations and provided excellent service the entire evening. Kids loved their meals as well.
We waited two hours for our table and it was worth the wait. We would go back again without hesitation!

Good food, but so busy expect to wait a while. They have a great outside bar that you don’t mind waiting. They text you when your ready to be seated and I love that. Food was good and price was average.

I knew we would have a long wait and when we arrived, we were told it would be 2 hours for a table for 2. While waiting outside my husband got a beer and I asked for a water, but the bartender outside said that he could only give me a cup of ice, luckily it was hot enough out that the ice melted quickly.
Fortunately for us, it was only about 40 minutes before we had a table inside. Started with the hushpuppies and they were good, wish we had paced ourselves, because our entrees took a long time to come out. Our server seemed very busy and our table didn’t seem like a priority. I had the devilled crab and shrimp meal with veggies and subbed mashed potatoes. The only issue that really bothered me was when I bit into a big piece of plastic in my mashed potatoes. I even had my husband look to make sure that it was plastic and not skin from the potato. I would have told the server sooner, but we didnt see her until we were done with our food. When I did tell the server, she told me that the same thing has happened to her at this restaurant, not sure if that was supposed to make me feel better, but it did not. We dont live in the area, but I dont think we would be back if we were in town again.

Really good atmosphere of you sit in the back patio area. Get there late or early if you don’t want to wait 90 – 120 minutes. I ordered the seafood extravaganza which was really good just not as much food as I expected. Drinks seemed short-​poured and wait staff was a little slow. Overall, one of the best places to get seafood on the island but if you’ve been here you know the restaurant scene is average at best.

My family and I (6 people) ate here for dinner. We had to wait for an hour and a half for a table (got there about 6:45pm) but the food was awesome! I had a Ribeye Steak (Medium) with he Smashed Potatoes and it was amazing… cooked perfectly and so good. My husband and my sone had the large portion of the Seafood Pasta and they both liked it and ate every bite. The Hushpuppies were really good too as an appetizer. We would definitely eat there again. We had a couple of us that shared steaks to help with cost. Prices are kinda steep but the food was good. Our waiter was awesome and very funny… he did a great job. Our total bill was $ 133 for 2 steaks (for 4 people), 2 pasta meals, 2 hushpuppie baskets and beverages/​tea/​water (no alcohol).

Food was decent. My wife had the crab legs and she loved her meal. I had the burger and it was decent. The lines and wait times were crazy, however, the sunset and live music really made up for it.
If you want to sit inside you have to wait in two lines… makes no sense.
I know I’m at a seafood restaurant but I wish they would have better options for those that have seafood allergies.

Too be fair, most people come here for the sunset, but the food is simply mediocre.
My crab cakes were flavorless, my wife’s ceviche the same.
Probably the best thing on the table were the hush puppies, though my wife liked the bread.
I would go back for drinks, but would eat somewhere else first.

With over 5,000 reviews you would think this place was nothing short of amazing. Sadly, my friend and I ate here last night and we were pretty disappointed. The wait was between 2 and 2 ½ hours which I was not surprised in the least about. I knew the wait was going to be quite long by looking at the other reviews on here. Luckily, there were seats available at the bar and the sushi bar so we sat down immediately.
We ordered the Slurricane which we enjoyed. I think that’s pretty much the best thing we had there…
We tried out some of their oysters, grabbed a fish plate and a salad. The oysters were not very good, the fish was good but my friend felt it was overdone. My salad was all right but the grilled chicken I added was extremely dry and completely lacking taste.
Our server was not very attentive and I felt a little rushed but we didn’t mind that.
Maybe we hit an off night? Who knows.

Views are very nice, especially at sunset. Tremendous service.
Suggest you get here early, as waits can get long-​ish otherwise. The rice bowls were quite good, as were the shrimp. Their ‘seafood throwdowns’ were also quite good, with healthy portions.
Will definitely be back!

Good food, don’t come unless you wanna wait at least a couple hours.
My sister in law has an extreme gluten allergy, she described to them twice that it was severe and they had to make sure everything was done correct. The waiter said they know what they are doing told her not to worry. Well they messed up and now is spending then night in the bathroom sick.

We have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. Everything has tasted amazing and the servers have been spot on with recommendations when we trying to decide between a couple of things. Casual atmosphere and with summer starting they had live music playing outside with a little area with a beer trailer and games to play (giant connect four, corn hole, and giant Jenga) that our kiddos enjoyed playing while we waited for our table. Be prepared for a wait when you arrive but it is well worth it. The time seemed to go by fast with all the fun we were having outside with the kids and looking at the boats docked at the marina. They also have a tiki bar and outdoor seating if you wanted to watch the sunset, which is an very beautiful to watch. The service was great and the staff was very friendly and interacted well with our kids. We will be back in the future and will make this a family tradition for years to come.
Also my kids bought a stuffed pirate turtle and on the way back to our resort my son ripped the eye patch and was devastated. I called the next day and the manager said we could come in and exchange it at no charge and if we had left town they would ship out a new one to us. Which I was impressed with cause most places wouldn’t do that.

What a great seafood restaurant !!
Out of all our exploring for «the best» we keep coming back to SCB. The atmosphere is very lively. The outdoor seating with the lights and docks and waterfront is awesome. I’m sure the tiki bar rocks– but I was with kids so we got our pops and walked around.
We headed to the gift store and my daughter begged for this ice chip water bottle. I refused the first trip in September — but on our Easter trip I relented and bought. She didn’t use until we drove home — but found the lid wouldn’t keep closed so it leaked. I PM’d via Fb messenger and Mike M got back with me immediately via messenger and with a phone call. Within 2 days– a new AQUA ice chip water bottle arrived with a sticker.
Can’t tell you how much that meant to my daughter who had saved her money to purchase as SOON as we were near the place! Impressive and excellent customer service Mike!
Did I mention the food is incredibly awesome!!!
We met by chance, friends also visiting from Michigan and ended up dining together. Loved every thing we ordered.
Our personal favorite place to eat ON THE ISLAND. Was recommended to us by an elderly couple we met on the beach at the Westin.
We now are recommending to you. Go there!
Expect to wait… it’s always busy– that’s because it’s awesome and so is the food and their staff.

Get the low boil for an appetizer. It’s delicious. Great for a gorgeous view of the pier during sunset. Perfect outdoors but also great space indoors. For parties or smaller groups, bar seating available too. The fish is fresh and comes with multiple options (grilled, broiled, fried) and they are quite flexible with switching sides. The wine was better than expected and the service was friendly. I would definitely recommend and come back.

This place was awesome! Crab and shrimp dip was good, boat house salad was amazing, and the seafood pasta was delicious and a good portion. Leaving full and satisfied!

Had a lovely dinner here last weekend on the back patio. I enjoyed the laid back nature of it surrounded by the Spanish moss trees and boat marina. The menu seemed diverse so we tried a few different items. I had a sushi roll and the white fish ceviche to start, both my favorite menu items of the meal. Ordered the seafood tower by accident (it feeds more than 4 people, meant to order the platter for 2). Everything was chilled and the best part were the oysters. The reason for ⁴⁄₅ stars is because there was not a lot of flavor to the chilled seafood especially the lobster and the crab claws and I thought they were both overdone (I can make better lobster myself). I would go back but probably wouldn’t order the seafood tower again.

Views are very nice, especially at sunset. Tremendous service.
The drinks, we had a rum runner and margarita. Very sweet and very stiff. Some people prefer that, but I prefer a more balanced drink with more nuance. You could make these at home.
I ordered the surf and turf, which is a ribeye with lump crab on top. As you can see in my picture, it looked awesome coming out, but there was one major problem — the char on the ribeye had this horrible burnt taste to it like the grill grates had been cleaned in a very long time. It was bad enough to ruin the whole steak.
The crab was delicious and creamy. The beans were not really seasoned at all. The hollandaise sauce over it was well-​balanced with the right amount acidity to make it pop
It could have been some kind of freak occurrence, but when you pay $ 40 you expect the ribeye won’t have burnt bits all over it.

I must have been living a sheltered life whenever we visited this area. This is our first time here and won’t be our last. It’s hard to disappoint this KY couple when on the SC shoreline for food and people watching. I must say that I had my favorite spot previously on these waters but now have a new favorite.
Stayed in the area two days and tried our old favorite yesterday and this spot for the first time today. I am showing the comparisons that I can from this two day visit.
The seafood was awesome today as well as yesterday, except… We had raw oysters both days and today’s were superior. The steamed shrimp was smaller today so more work to peel when buying a pound. I’m voting for Hudsons for the 1 lb of steamed shrimp. Larger and better seasoning.
The vibe in both were fun but have to vote for this spot for fun on a Friday late lunch at 2:00. Sat outside under the awning close to the water.
Shelby waited on us and was awesome and helpful. She talked us into Snow Crab Legs to end with and she was right. They were awesome. All in all, a different experience than yesterday but enjoyed both. Prices today were better than Hudsons on the oysters for sure. $ 17.00/dozen versus Hudsons at 2.75 each. Not sure why.

How can you go wrong dining on the waterfront in South Carolina?
They have a great selection of seafood here and even sushi rolls and ceviche if your in the mood for it but they have local beers and something called the Horchada Colada which is Cinnamon Horchada Rum, Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey, Pineapple Juice and a few other things thrown into the blender, perfect way to cap off a long day.
I had the Oysters Rockefeller and Fried Green Tomatoes! The Fried Green Tomatoes have a spicy tex mex kick to them your gonna want to get that with River Dog IPA brewed right down the road!
I came through the sand in the back entrance into the outside bar area, the inside is really nice too good vibe kind of upscale. if your looking to chill outdoors with a little romance or even checking out those 14 tv’s playing sports. outside dining is the way to go!

Went for lunch with the in-​laws while on vacation in the beginning of January.
Service was great and very prompt and checked on us at all the right times.
Food was great as well. I ordered the lunch combo (soup and half a sandwich) of tuna sandwich and seafood chowder. It was perfect size for me as I’m not a really big eater at lunch time. My companions had po boy sandwiches and the fish n chips and everyone had clean plates and big smiles! We ordered the drink of the day which was very good, very STRONG, and good price. Had to order another since we were on vacation!
My favorite part of lunch was their signature hot sauce!!! It was soooo good I used like half a bottle and had to purchase another to take home to CT! I will be having my mother in law send me a case soon!
Nice views and cool outside bar (it was too cold but looked like it would be a blast in summer after getting off the boat!)
