O’Reilly’s Auto Parts

They have a nice selection of goodies for your vehicles. You can get a lot of replacement parts and some aftermarket upgrades for your truck or car. The customer service is okay, not bad, it’s just okay. I think the associates actually help you install parts right in the parking lot.

I’m a novice car owner and I actually like these guys for the most part. Their in-​person help can be really good, and they’re pretty good at explaining things. However! Never Ever try to call them! They SUCK at phone etiquette and I have been left on hold multiple times only to have them disconnect me! Never call them! Its SUPER frustrating.

As a novice in everything having to do with cars, my review is from a novice’s standpoint.
It seems like the selection of this place is pretty good. There is a huge back section with shelves of parts. I went in for supplies to wax and remove scratches from a car.
As implied before, I have no idea what I’m doing or looking for when it comes to cars. I was hoping for some customer service, but it seemed that there were no guys to help me out. To get assistance, I had to stand in line with the people paying. Once I did receive help, it wasn’t that helpful. I found what I needed, but no advice was given. Once I went up to pay, the cashier was really weird and was making comments about how expensive the stuff I was buying was and questioning if we were sure we wanted it. He didn’t offer any alternative products or methods that we could have gotten instead to make it cheaper, just the borderline snide remarks.
I am guessing that based on my experience, this place doesn’t pride itself on customer service, but just having parts; they leave it to the customer to know what they want/​need. I guess because I am so clueless when it comes to cars, I would be better off next time looking up what I need online and buying it from Amazon or something, since at least there is feedback on what works and what is the cheapest.
