At Ease Spa

I had a one hour facial, body scrub, and massage today. The person who did my facial was so sweet and did an amazing job. The body scrub and Vichy shower was amazing also. Everyone was friendly and professional. The place was very clean and soothing. I will definitely be coming back!

I just moved to town and am so happy that I tried At Ease Spa! I loved the tranquil and relaxing feeling as soon as I walked in. I signed up for the membership program, which sounds too good to be true, but it is true! Before the massage they give you a quick but perfect hand and foot wash, which gave me a few minutes to tell my massage therapist Josie about the kind of pressure I like and where my sensitive spots are. I went for the hot stone massage and she did an absolutely amazing job! She used the exact right pressure and check in with me to see if it was ok and if the temperature of the stones was ok too. I was in the first massage room and I didn’t hear one bit of outside noise, they must have super thick walls. They also have a little sauna you can use after your massage if it’s not taken. The woman at the front desk Rebecca was so sweet and welcoming and answered all my questions. I’m so excited to have found this spa! Highly recommend!

I love coming to At Ease for an occasional indulgence. They are a small place but have made it very cozy and inviting and peaceful inside. Their prices are fantastic, and I’ve never been disappointed by a service I’ve received here.
A word to the wise, arrive ten or fifteen minutes early. They do a nice foot and hand bath, so you’ll want to leave time for that. They also have an infrared sauna (I think that’s what it’s called), so stay a few minutes afterward to get some time in it. It’s small, so competition for a turn may arise sometimes.
There is also some really cute jewelry by the front desk, and I’ve purchased a few really cute things. Overall I always have a great experience. They run specials all the time, so check the website.

One of my favorite local boutique spas! We have come here a bunch of times over the last few years and have always walked away feeling super refreshed and relaxed. My husband booked us a last minute (surprise!) couples massage a few weeks ago when we were visiting family in NJ. It’s a small place, but don’t let that fool you! We walked in and changed into our robes and were led into the quiet area where there was water, tea, and cookies. Our massage therapists came out and gave us a foot soak with a hand and foot scrub. We were then led to our couples massage room which was REALLY comfy. The lighting and music were perfect, and the massage bed was nice and warm, just the way I like it. My therapist Josie did an amazing job, she applied more and less pressure in areas that I wanted and used hot towels and stones throughout the massage. I am very particular about my massages, and she did a REALLY great job. I love this place and the therapists are great and very professional. One improvement that I would really like to see is having a steam room on site. They have a teeny tiny sauna, (only 2 people can fit in), but it really doesn’t help with much. There is a shower however.

Had a great massage. They have a special maternity table which was great. The technician was great too. A very relaxing spa style massage.

Spa week… Spa week… what a wonderful week! I come from generations of fabulous women who have ingrained in me the importance of taking care of yourself and treating yourself in indulgences (every now and then). I try to get a facial at least once every 3 months to keep my skin healthy and glowing. However as a young diva on a budget, I always look for deals (promos, groupons, etc). Well every October, Bergen County has Spa Week and it is fabulous. I have found some of the best spas due to this week and have become a regular customer.
At Ease Spa is a local spa in my hometown that is cute and relaxing. I love it here. My family (mom, sister, aunt and cousin) all did a «Ladies Day Out» last Christmas as our gifts to each other. At Ease Spa worked with me to schedule everything and provided us with a day of relaxing and laughs. It was great and a hard task to do with 5 women all wanting different treatments, etc.
I went to At Ease Spa yesterday with their Spa Week promotion. To start had a pumpkin facial with Eve. It was glorious and just what my face needed after an indulging weekend (lots of eating and beer drinking) away with the girls, not to mention it smelt great. Then I had a full body massage with Tiffany. As much as I love facials, massages are not usually my thang. I am very sensitive and I like soft pressure and the therapist usually doesn’t abide to my liking so I just skip it in general. But this deal was so great that I had to take a try. Tiffany was amazing and really listened to me and probably gave me the best massage EVER!
I walked into work today and got so many complemnts how i am glowing and well rested. My visit to At Ease Spa was everything I needed and more!

What a horrible experience! I had eyebrow tinting and was told that the price was $ 15. I was charged $ 35 and the front desk staff would not change this because «the manager wasn’t there.» I was assured that the problem would be straightened out. Manager never did contact me. I later found out that I was quoted an incorrect price by Eve. The $ 35 was for both eyebrow AND eyelash tinting. I was never told this; I was therefore charged for a service I did not have. Makes you wonder about the manager and the kind of business she runs. I would never return nor recommend this place. I was ripped-​off!

Be aware that a 55 minute massage does NOT mean 55 minutes on the table. The time includes changing into the robe and slippers, soaking your feet and waiting for the masseuse to start. All this takes at least 15 minutes so you’re probably getting 20 – 30 mins on the table at most. It would have been great if they had conveyed this over the phone when I booked the appointment.
I went with my boyfriend for a couples massage and the experience was just okay, not mind blowing like other reviewers supposedly had. I say supposedly because my masseuse Tiffany mentioned that she had «forgotten» that she had created the Unilocal page. (Makes me wonder how many of the reviews were written by family and friends…)
My boyfriend was assigned to Svetlana who gave a satisfactory massage.
Tiffany gave me a prenatal massage on the pre-​natal table (love the belly cut out) but 12+ hours after the experience my shoulders are still super sore and achy from her efforts to remove the knots in these areas. She is a friendly and lovely woman, but seemed very inexperienced particularly when working with pregnant women.
The massage rooms are cozy and well appointed, but we won’t be coming back. My biggest turnoff is the misleading advertisement for a 55 minute massage when you’re actually getting a lot less time on the table.

Consistently good. I usually remember to arrive 15 minutes early for a foot soak. Allow time for finding street parking.
I’ve had excellent facials by Eve and excellent massages by Josie.
I appreciate that they don’t try to sell me products like at other spas.
This is not a luxurious spa but the treatments are top-​notch and the price is right. Why pay more?

I really love At Ease!!! It is a tiny little place, but very tranquil. I love sitting near the fire as I await Tricia, who is THE BEST MASSEUSE i have EVER had — AS IN EVER. She is warm, professional and knows exactly how to get the knots out without any excruciating pain. I would highly recommend you ask for her. I am sure the others are great, but I have never been to them. Oh, and the foot wash and hand rub before your massage is just too relaxing.
I bought the package on 1/​month and i have been using it and loving it! At Ease is a hidden little gem! The only downside, if there is one, is the size — there is one bathroom and a small corridor to stiff your clothes away… but it is a small price to pay for the tremendous service you will receive.

Loved this place. Was clean and staff was nice and accommodating. I’ve had other massages and this one blew them out of the water. I highly recommend this place for a good massage. My only complaint is that the shower head in the shower was broken, but no big deal. Also very reasonably priced!

It was a lazy Sunday afternoon. I decided to go for my first professional massage. I researched some spas online and elected to drive 20 minutes to Hillsdale. When I arrived it was easy to park right in front of the spa. They were not crowded so I was attended to right away. My massage therapist was very congenial young lady who introduced herself as Josi. She washed my feet in a basin of warm water and then took me into one of the massage rooms. I liked the names of the rooms; «fire», «wood», I thought this was very zen. The massage was absolutely fantastic. Even though Josi is on the petite side, she has very powerful hands and her massage techniques were just perfect. Hot stones, and aromatic creams were so relaxing. I was transported to heaven for that 55 minutes. Thanks At Ease and thanks Josi for your wonderful professionalism. I’ll be back very soon.

I am in love with this place. I’ve been here twice already for a full body scrub and hour massage. The service is amazing and G is the BEST! She has the softest hands and works like magic! I recommend this place 100%. I will be back for sure. It’s not close to were I live but so worth the travel! =). Highly recommend.

A beautiful (albeit small) spa. The waiting room is tiny but the lights are dimmed and they wash your feet in a basin before bringing you into your room. My massage was wonderful, although I never learned the name of my massage therapist. I believe all of the massages include hot stones on your back which was really nice.
I decided to sign up for their membership package — for $ 49/​month you get a monthly 55-​minute treatment of your choice (massage, facial, body scrub, etc). Considering their cheapest 55-​minute treatment is $ 75, that’s a pretty good deal. If you bring a friend with you they get the same reduced price.
My only issues: there is no locker room or changing room so you have to go into the single person bathroom to change, which is kind of annoying, especially if you have to USE the bathroom for… bathroom functions, and someone is in there changing.
I came on a weekend and it was crowded. I really wanted to sit in the sauna but it’s a single-​person space and I was tired of waiting, so I ended up just putting my clothes back on and leaving.
I’d say to book an appointment during the week so that you can really enjoy this little gem — it has a lot to offer but gets crowded fast on the weekends!

We purchased a Valentine’s Day couples package. As previous reviews state, this place isn’t all that large and I would have to agree that 4+ customers would make this spa a bit cramped. The massages were great and I actually felt 5lbs lighter!
My husband, on the other hand, did NOT enjoy himself. Our couples wrap had him gasping for air but I really enjoyed it. The package also provided us with a chicken salad and sweet tea lunch which was fabulous. My facial was also painful. They told me I had huge pores, which a dermatologist said wasn’t true, and since their steaming machine was not working that day, they used a hot towel which I read from previous reviews, they just don’t use on others as well… However, my skin did feel and look better the next day.
Towards the end, they ran out of time and we felt rushed to shower and leave (they also told us we could shower together and «whatever…» Which was so strange!
I enjoyed my time here but for the price and distance, would probably not go back.

Purchased Groupon for a 60 minute hot stone massage with aromatherapy and reflexology ($ 49). Hillsdale is a bit out of the way for me, but this spa is worth the trek. What an experience! Here’s the deelio:
— Receptionist was a gentille, soft spoken young lady. Bless her energy.
— After check in, I was taken to locker area to secure my belonging and change into a robe and flip flops.
— Changed in the shower room, which is fully equipped with everything you’ll need to freshen up before and after your spa treatment (shampoo, condish, body wash, body scrub, fresh towels, lotion etc.). The best thing: the multi head shower. I swear to Jesus Horatio Christ, that shower touched my soul!
— After changing into your robe, you will be led to a beautiful, dimly lit waiting area where your technician will wash your hands and feet. (!!! #yeslawd)
— The massage room itself was pleasing to the senses. Simple décor with perfect lighting, easy listening music sotto, comfortable massage table that literally hugs you. Essentially a lullaby for adults. (I was GONE within minutes — which is very common for me and usually an indicator that I got the massage of a lifetime.)
The only thing that could possible ruin one’s zen here is if the spa is crowded. And by crowded I mean more than 4 people at a time. There’s one shower, one restroom, room for one in sauna. As there was only one other person at the spa during my visit, I literally had the entire place to myself.
Needless to say, I fell in love with this place. They have a membership program that I’m seriously considering. ($ 49/​mth, 12 mth commitment for 1 spa treatment a month.) This section in Hillsdale is perfect: quaint and charming, away from all the hustle and bustle. Just what I needed to decompress and put my mind at ease.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!
It has all the bells and the whistles, everything you need for a great spa day. I have been to many spas, had facials and massages in many places, posh cruise ships included, and this place is top notch
First– you are given a locker and robe and slippers. You change in a very chic bathroom and sit in a waiting area with a small fire place, blooming herbal tea waiting for you, glass cups, not those paper cups, water and cookies
The couches are so comfortable and the lighting is dim, its super warm because of the fire place
The masseuse came and introduced herself. She has a large wooden basin, a small bowl of salt scrub and body butter, and hot water.
She pours the hot water into the basin and scrubs your feet with the scrub and massages your hands with the salve. She used the warm towel to wipe off excess salve and poured hot water to rinse off your feet, then wipes them off and puts your slippers back on.
Wonderful start and completely unexpected !
She took me into a NON TACKY decorated room, very beautiful and relaxing. I often feel many spas are overly tacky, but this was so pretty and the sheets and blanket was very warm
THe massage was awesome, 55 minutes full of wonderful relaxation. Full body massage really hit everything — shout out to Katherine– she left NOTHING out, she climbed up to reach the knots on the back of my thigh (no joke, she worked on everything with great firm pressure) and I told her my lower back was tense, she focused on my lower back for a while and it felt great.
They use aroma therapy and relation techniques, the scalp/​face massage was super relaxing to start with
The hot stones were a great touch too — one of my best massages ever!
THen to finish — here is what sets them apart (besides the herbal blooming tea, fireplace, and foot wash!)
They have a sauna room meant for all clients– you don’t pay extra. Then a multi pressure LARGE Shower with shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. Not to mention salt scrubs (all free!)
Full access to towels — then to hairspray, deodorant, hair brushes, a hair drier, cotton swabs, mouth wash, body spray — you name it and needed it — they had it ready for you and in full disposal for ALL their clientes.
SO i left after taking the best shower, scrubs, and styling my hair. I no longer felt oily and was ready to go. I have been to places that have SOME of these things, but this place had them ALL
Incredible! worth every single penny
one smallll comment if the owner is reading this — someone is smoking in the back room, because the sauna area/​back area smelled like cigarettes when i came back out from the shower.

So I felt a little better after checking the the Unilocal reviews of this place. Should have done this first. Several key issues disappointed me in my ‘spa’ experience. This place is great for people who don’t know any better. Although my mom had a good massage, there were issues that stuck with me in my experience and some people on Unilocal share them with me.
1) will not mention her name because overall a nice woman but extremely chatty masseuse, good conversationalist, but not appropriate for relaxation, especially when a client needs to breath through the treatment.
2) the lockers are located in a super tight hallway with frequent traffic
3) I was surprised that we were expected to change in a FREEZING bathroom (its the end of summer?)
4) my masseuse asked for specific focus on problem areas and did not take care of them first nor spent enough time on the indicated area
4.5) Paid for a deep tissue massage and instead received the equivalent pressure of Swedish. Requested to go deeper half way through, but not much change in pressure — instead an increase in speed of stroke as if hurried. Hot stones were used, but felt like they were being piled on in random places. Lots of repetitive strokes that missed knots and tighter areas.
5) did not have a cup of water offered after session and nobody asked how anything was.
Very small subtle things that any average place should in the least address appropriately.

(read this as 2.5 stars) This review is based on my visit to this place about 6 months ago. I pass by here on a daily basis and notice that they’ve been running great specials for a while, so I called up and booked a 2 hour appt.
I arrived, filled out some paperwork and was given a key to a locker to put my belongings. You have to change in the restroom. It’s a small place, and I was told there is an individual sauna area that I could have use of after my session.
As I waited, someone brought out a bucket to soak my feet. After a short wait, my masseuse came out and introduced herself and brought me back to the treatment room. My appt. was for a 90 minute massage, and 30 minute reflexology.
I can’t recall the name of my masseuse, but she was gave an excellent massage, with the exact right amount of pressure for me. The only negative that I have is that she literally talked for the entire 2 hours. I went there to relax and unwind, and wasn’t in the mood to make conversation. The odd thing is, she was very interesting to talk to, so I wasn’t as annoyed as I would normally be, but still, at the end of the 2 hours, it was hard to remember much about the actual massage. She described herself as a bit of a gypsy, so it wouldn’t surprise me if she’s moved on.
I will return for their awesome pricing and convienent location to where I live.

I love this place. I came across it back in 2007 I think and have been coming here since. Have tried various treatments and have always been a satisfied customer. Have brought several friends here over the years as well. What I love about it is that’s a very noncommercial, very intimate spa. A sanctuary. They have 5 – 6 treatments rooms, the décor is very Zen, very calming. A truly relaxing experience. Prices are reasonable. If you are around the area, you must give this place a try. If you get in about 15 minutes before your appointment there is complimentary hand/​feet scrub and you feel truly pampered. I look forward to every visit.
