Nothing is more annoying than being ignored. If a friend comes in to your workplace that’s fine but at least acknowledge a customer when they walk in the door and don’t just sit there and ignore them and keep talking to your friend. So uncomfortable almost as If I was walking into somewhere that I should not be.

I love Einstein bagels in Beaverton yet hate the one by the college in Hillsboro. The employee today came across almost happy that they were out of whip cream, yep she didn’t need to make me the coffee I came in for” without the whip cream I didn’t want it. So I thought I’m here may as well grab a few blueberry muffins” & what do you know they were sold out. The employee never tried to offer me a different muffin or coffee drink, nor did she try to go that extra mile for her guest. Had that been me, I would have moved mountains to make my customer happy and coming back. This was my 5th and last time I will ever go to this particular Einstein bagels. Einstein needs to get it together on there inventory as well as train the staff how to properly greet a guest as well as the overall treatment of a guest. Okay I’m done, I got it off my back and will always love Einstein bagels but will be more careful about the location.

This Einstein’s tries. I don’t think it’s the staff’s fault in any way. They are always friendly and helpful. You can tell they’re hurrying around but many times there just aren’t enough employees to serve the hoards of students needing coffee and carbs in the morning. I have to say they’ve improved in the last year although it seems like corporate somehow ignores this location — new employees aren’t trained correctly and they seem to have a high staff turnover. In the past their menu board showed a hummus bagel as $ 1.80 but it would ring up at almost $ 3. After I mentioned this a couple times it seems they have a new menu board with the ‘correct’ price of almost $ 3 but the register is still ringing it up as $ 1.80. Weird. There aren’t many fresh food options here. Their espresso drinks really aren’t good either(best to go down the street to SB or DB). Coffee is decent if you add enough half & half and sugar. Refills with the same cup are less expensive. A lot of times their milk options by the coffee will be empty so you’ll have to ask for a refill. Limited sugar options. Offering Sugar in the Raw or Stevia would be nice. I would avoid the buffalo sandwiches, the sauce is really unappetizing. They sell travel mugs for a really inexpensive price but I would be wary of the plastic type used, especially since it’s presumably going to be used for hot beverages. They run out of a lot of the bagels after noon. Also, the hours listed on their website for this location are wrong… they usually close around 3pm. You also generally can’t use company issued coupons, giftcards, or Groupons at this location, which is very frustrating. Make sure to take advantage of coffee and bagel punch cards. Good luck!
