My favorite. This location is closest to my house. They are always friendly! They have a VIP program that provides $ 7 off your 10th meal.

Nice little restaurant and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. You can watch the food made as you order. I have had Skyline chili before, but never had it from the restaurant. The menu is quite simple and the food is made before your eyes. I irredeemable a large three way chili and it did not disappoint. I can’t wait to go back to get more.

Although I did not grow up in Cincinnati, I did grow up with the ability to experience the deliciousness of Skyline Chili. As a few other people have noted, the taste of their chili probably is an acquired taste if you are not used to it. Also, I am sure that most people would question why Skyline’s chili has no beans. However, I have to say that regardless of whether you add beans, onions, or any other ingredient, what distinguishes this style of chili is definitely the sauce, which has a brown sugar sweet sort of taste to it that is truly unique among chilis. This makes the chili served by Skyline Chili very versatile, which is reflected by the fact that it can be served either on top of a hot dog, plate of spaghetti, or even in a burrito. So far, I have tried their chili every way except burrito style. My favorite are the miniature chili dogs that feature mustard, onions, and a heaping pile of cheddar cheese. Hence, I was very pleased that when I visited this location it was very easy to walk in and grab a few chili dogs to go. Since it was late, we opted not to stick around and dine in, but the restaurant looked pretty casual – basically an atmosphere you’d expect to eat chili in. Overall, if I am in this area again I will definitely be going back.

I’ve been going to Skyline’s off and on for a few years, and rather missed them for the time I lived out in Chicago… Granted, it’s an acquired taste… Most people either love it or hate it, and I rather enjoy it. This location is my most often hit, primarily because it’s pretty close to my home, but they always treat me well here. The staff is always welcoming, quick to get my drink and order. I can’t really complain. It’s a pretty simple concept too, most of the food is pre-made during the day as it’s needed, so it’s fairly fast to get what you order. I mean, its mostly hotdogs, spaghetti and chilli. So not a lot of complications there. The last time we were in there were a few specks in our drink glasses, just from the soda machine having been recently cleaned, not a big deal, and they were very good and apologetic about it. I’d have to say, if you like Cincinnati style chilli, this is a place to try out.

Despite living and working fairly far away from this location, we pile in the car and come out here. Great waitstaff and a manager that always walks the dining room to make sure everything is alright. If you do not know about Cincinnati style chili, research it prior to coming. There are so many good ways to eat it, you don’t want to miss out. It goes great on spaghetti with cheese — known as a 3-way. No cheese is a chili spaghetti. Available with onions and beans, too. Can be served in a burrito. Many favor the chili cheese coney, known as a ‘liner. Some like the chili cheese sandwich — the coney without the coney! Sides here are great, as well. Baked potatoes, french fries, and I think you can get garlic bread, but I have never seen it on the menu. They also offer salads, and you can just get a bowl of chili if you are so inclined. The Ohio fight about Cincinnati style chili is which major vendor is better: Skyline or Gold Star. I prefer Skyline, but I cannot explain why. You’d best try both and judge for yourself. Hot sauce is on every table and oyster crackers are served with the meal. Some friends put a dot of hot sauce on every cracker. Cracker ass crackers. Some like hot sauce on whatever they had covered in chili… different strokes, as they say. Oddly, meals are usually capped off with york peppermint patties available at the counter as you pay. Eventually, this meal will be known worldwide, but until then, you can buy cans of the chili and bottles of the hot sauce to be shipped. Well worth doing if you are not near a purveyor of this goodness. Some grocery stores sell Skyline brand items in the canned food aisle. Come to this chain for a great eating experience; come to this location for great service.

Dining inside, always a pleasure. Great service and great food, except the fries, they are always a disappointment. Always soggy and tasteless. The drive-thru is another story, they have never got an order right, NEVER! Always wrong, and always disappointed when we get home. Please get it right. When someone says NO onions, they mean, NO onions!

I have enjoyed the pleasures of Skyline Chili for over 15 years now and though ever location is generally the same, some locations just seems to do it better than others. This location is almost always on the ball(not everyone is perfect) when it comes to customer service and quality of food. The servers are friendly and attentive. The food is delicious. The restaurant itself is clean. If you like the food and you are looking for the right place to get it right, the store on Hilliard Rome Rd is the right location for you.

Holy hell! I haven’t been to one of these places in a very long time, but it was amazing! My friend was wanting some chili and invited me along. I’m a vegetarian and didn’t expect I would find much. I went for the beans and rice bowl, it is actually pretty low in points if you’re on weight watchers. It was unbelievably good! I couldn’t get over it! I love spicy, so once I added in a packet of hot sauce I was in heaven! For only 8 points, you can bet I’ll be back pretty often! YUM!

Skyline is an acquired taste. You either like it or you don’t! I’ve always been a fan and when my brother went to UC, he expanded my appreciation for it. Try your«way» inverted. They put the chili on top, it melts the cheese better!!! Also, the cheddar bread is delicious. Not bad for a quick meal anytime, but you have to be in the mood!
