I’ve never had any problems driving across this bridge. Where the real problems begin are the exits onto Rt. 9 immediately after. Here’s a handy tip: If you’re intending on going south on Rt. 9 off of the bridge, don’t use the exit right off the bridge. Go up to Market Street, hang a right, and follow that until it exits onto Rt. 9. A much easier and less stressful way to get to where you need to go.

It might not be as grand as the Golden Gate bridge, or as beautiful as the George Washington Bridge, but this bridge is almost adequately beautiful and structurally sound any time people cross it.
I do find though the fact this bridge has three lanes to be a hassle, knowing which lanes are open at which times. If I’m ever in the area, I’ll tend to use it to get across the Hudson River though.
