Highland Pop

Could not recommend anything better than Highland Pop! The popcorn is incredible and there are so many flavors to pick from! The staff allows you to try samples of anything and is great with customers! Will be coming back or picking up Highland Pop’s product in one of the many grocery stores they are in!

lol what a joke this place is… the popcorn has no taste and its overpriced, on top of that, i love the snooty attitudes the ladies have here, i love it. keep it up and your company will eventually go under.
i dont know why people come here, i would rather have marianos make the popcorn for me fresh and its a whole lot cheaper too… obviously i would rather have garretts popcorn but a drive to the city isnt worth it, so the next best thing is marianos. ding ding ding winner winner!!!
rofl avoid this place unless you snotty idiots from highland park, lake forest, etc… love coming here, its your money.

I am very sad to read the poor customer service reported in some of these reviews.
I stopped by Highland Pop today which is a Sunday, a day they are normally closed. I noticed some lights were on and I saw a lady in the back who kindly signaled for me to come in. This lady could not have been nicer to me. I assume she was the owner. Even though they were technically closed I was able to purchase a couple bags of their diet popcorn.
I have never had their other products but based on my experience today I will certainly be back to try other varieties. They were so nice to me. The diet popcorn is fantastic by the way!

I absolutely love this place! They are so cute and creative and the popcorn and candy is amazing. I especially love the woman who owns this place– she is always so friendly and helpful. And is especially nice to my kids.

Product is delicious, however, all of my experiences with customer service have been thumbs down. The management always seems so overwhelmed and stressed out and recently I had a negative experience. When I called to give feedback about my overall experience, I was told to come in and I would «be given something!» How rude. I did not call for handouts because I won’t be shopping there again, I was calling to let them know that a little training in good customer service might be helpful for their business.

Place is still not a good business I keep getting harassed by the owner with numerous VMs to my personal cell phone all because I called the store once to ask a Q, and they must have caller ID what a seedy way to obtain a non customers phone number and may I reiterate A NON CUSTOMER! It disgusts me the lengths this lady will go to harass a person she does not know just to reel in a new customer an make $$$! Then she has other people msg me and try and harass me for having my own opinion about the shop and not sharing theirs in aplenty how wonderfully delicious they think it is get over yourselfs! I have my health to worry about and not dying… I don’t need to stress over q pop corn shop lady who wants to make an extra buck by harassing ppl, or her friends that she has inbox me and try and intimidate me by saying owners husband is lawyer for over 30+yrs! Well good for him that’s just like any other profession nothing spcl, but apparently the junior high schooler Sara j thought it would put me in my place ! Also on a side note Sara j thinks Unilocal will ban my account all because of my opinion on her family friends previous popcorn shop! Get a life to all u pop corn nuts cuz ur all nuts! I have my health to worry about so I can’t stress over highland pops& highland pops family friends continues harassment towards me! Plz don’t support a business that harasses ppl thx

Highland Pop is the best popcorn around, hands down! Fresh every day, friendly staff and they ship all over the country. Keep up the excellent work!

WOW. I heard such great things about this store. Unfortunately after waiting 10 minutes (and the store was not busy) to be served, I received a bag of STALE popcorn mix. Don’t tell the staff that you need to put it in a bag, they will knock off half of the bag of popcorn into the garbage so they can seal it. NOT worth almost $ 6.00.

We went to Highland Pop and I was very very excited to go. I am a huge popcorn fanatic and love small local stores. I liked the store at first and had high expectations going to this store.
We walked in and the owner was busy with some customers, so we waited. We were eventually greeted by an employee. He was very kind and helpful and was telling us about the popcorn and the business as well. We were getting along well and he gave us some samples to try and we thought they were ok.
But we continued talking, until the owner rudely interrupted and asked if we were going to buy anything. And being a huge popcorn fanatic, I was definitely going to buy something. Until she grabbed our samples away and basically ended up being very very rude to us and telling the employee helping us to go back in the kitchen and leaving no one to help us anymore. So we just left.
Very disappointed in the customer service of the owner and will probably never go back to the store again, even though I thought this would be my new popcorn shop.
Would not recommend anyone to go especially if they don’t want to be talked down upon and be disrespected.

I LOVE HIGHLAND POP! I have loved it since they opened but now that they are cRc kosher certified… I love it even more. They are closed on Saturdays because of their kosher certification but are open such other great times, it does not even matter. Kim (the owner) and Lyle (husband) are two of the sweetest people I have ever met. The moment you walk in you are given samples of any popcorn, Italian ice, fudge and now gourmet brownies! They are beyond helpful with picking out gifts. This place is awesome! I highly recommend it for any occasion!
