This little grill serves very good Southern style Chili dogs, and an excellent burger, however you want it dressed. The weiner is not of the all beef variety, but it is decent. The chili is meaty, with excellent flavor. The bun is soft, almost gooey, the onions and slaw are freshly made. I eat a lot of hot dogs, and the one here is easily in my Top 10. The burger is nearly as good, with just enough greasiness to bring out the flavor. To me this kind of burger is best with simply mayo and pickles. Good prices here, nice folks — great place to grab a great dog or burger.

Driving by this place I was hoping for a delicious BLT. It’s June 1 and good tomatoes, the essential ingredient in a BLT, should be available. I was disappointed to see your standard November, mealy, tomato slice on my sandwich. One lame slice of tomato. It couldn’t do battle with the generous helping of L and B. Bacon was awesome. Lettuce was shredded and yellow. I was hoping for something similar to Merrit’s in Chapel Hill. It wasn’t. Also had the egg and cheese, it sucked. The guy behind the counter said the place had good burgers. Think about the grill they may have had at your summer swimming pool. This place is a mediocre version of that.
