The Loft at Union Square

The Lofts at Union Square was an amazing venue for our wedding ceremony and reception. It is an open space that allows you to create any ambiance and environment you desire. Ayesha and her team were so easy to work with and worked the room flip in amazing time! I highly recommend the Lofts for any type of event! My family and friends were absolutely stunned and impressed with the venue and service!

I was going to have my September wedding (2012) at the Loft but was continuously ignored by the manager at the time and became so afraid that there wasn’t any real way my wedding would go smoothly or at least I wouldn’t be able to trust the staff considering how «back burner» they treated me. I was very upset but will say that I was VERY PLEASED with the owner (owner, not manager) who refunded our money. Thank you again for that. I would not recommend this venue. Plus, every time I went there it was horribly dirty… even on the date (s) of other’s weddings.

The Loft at Union Square is located in the old Adams-​Millis hosiery factory (large multistory brick buildings) on English Rd. in downtown High Point. The entire complex is called Union Square, but the Loft itself is on the 4^th floor of the complex. There is ample surface lot parking around the building. I’d always passed these warehouses growing up, but had never been inside until this past weekend for a wedding reception.
The Loft has over 8,000 square feet of open space on the top of the building with views of downtown High Point. You’re basically on the roof of the building and the walls are pretty much nothing but windows. The building itself is old, but that’s part of the charm and style. Plenty of exposed brick, concrete, and wood. The space can be customized for a variety of events and was looking great for the reception. There was a stage with live band, dance floor, and over 20 eight-​person tables beautifully decorated with decorations and place settings.
The only snafu of the night was the heat as the building’s HVAC system did not seem to be working. As blistering cold as it was over the weekend, the temperature in the Loft was probably around 50 degrees throughout the night. Even upwards of 200 people could not heat that space up. The old factory windows did not provide good insulation. Other than that, the space turned out to be a great location for the wedding reception and it’s definitely a cool place for High Point to have.
